Sailor Moon is a great show. In fact I cut my anime teeth on it; it was the first show I ever saw that I knew was Japanese. Of course later on I found out that some of my old favorites like Astroboy and Transformers are Japanese but it was Sailor moon that really hooked me.

Sailor Moon is about a absent minded girl named Usagi (Serena if you've been watching American television) who finds out that she is actually a super hero, a Princess in the long dead Moon Kingdom, and a Queen in the Futuristic Crystal Tokyo; just a normal everyday kind of girl. Well, maybe only in anime.
