At the Washington Garden Hotel. [Wasn't it called the Tokyo Washington Hotel?]

The police arrive on the scene.

Talk among the cops.

"...Uaaaa."

"I thought the hill up to the hotel was a path of dead bodies but here's even worse."

"We need ID here---!"

"Hai."

Akira: "......" [Well, looks like he's working again, which would mean he got his promotion.] He takes a look at the bodies. {---Indiscriminate killing involving the general public---... They're all cut several times, but avoiding the vital spots...... As if whoever did this... loves to kill people...} Akira starts all of the sudden when he realizes that someone is next to him. He glances over at the person. It's the cop with a scar on his right cheek. [I mentioned him in the terrorist bombing incident.] The cop kinda smiles/sneers. Akira freaks. {A...Aaaaa~~~}

Cop 1: "Munakata-kun's smiling!" [I think Munakata is a last name...]

Cop 2: "He's sure that the suspect is a violent criminal!"

Cop 1: "He's feeling immense joy that he gets to go after the criminal!"

Cop 2: "He's gonna do it!!" He puts his hand on Akira's shoulder.

Cop 1: "We're counting on you Stopper!" He also puts his hand on Akira's shoulder.

Akira freaks again, and turns to them: "You've got to be kidding. Don't leave it to me. The next time he starts beating up the suspect please help me senpai."

Cop 2: "Wh-what are you saying!?" He starts backing off.

Cop 1: "As his partner, it's your job to stop him!" {It doesn't involve us!} "Munakata-kun is a fearful person who becomes as violent as the criminal does!" {Though he's usually cool and calm.} He starts backing off too.

Cop 2: "I can't throw my life away to stop such a vicious person!!" {I'll be killed too!}

Cop 1 and 2: "It's the work of the newcomers to deal with dangerous work!!" {Get to work properly---} They're now well out of distance.

Akira: {...What cruel people..... ---...But... if I don't get a move on this case...} He glances over at Munakata. {---You're not going to be able to tell who's killer here---...}

He walks away, feeling like he's unable to do just that. {But I better do what I can now...}

Young voice: "...No... I came by myself... You didn't come home Yuuwa... Minobu was worried about Dad......" Sounds like the child is crying.

Akira: {...E...? A child's voice...?}

Young voice, between tears: "What should Minobu do...... Yuuwa...... Dad...... Dad......"

Akira glances over at the nearby bushes.

From the kid's phone: "Okay! Just don't move from there! I'm coming now!" A little kid is curled up with a phone.

Kid: "...Yeah... yeah... Yuuwa...... Minobu will wait... Hurry and..."

Akira pulls back the bushes suddenly.

Minobu: "!!" She drops the phone. "----Ah. Kya...!"

[Have I described what the portable phones look like here? Well it looks like small hand held computer with an antenna like thingie that's separate from the base that acts as a phone receiver. Looks like you can visually see who you're talking to as well.]

Back at Kuryugumi's main house.

The display on the screen suddenly blacks out.

Yuuwa: "Minobu!! Minobu! What's wrong---!" {Don't cut the line like that all of the sudden---!}

Eerie voice: "...That's exactly what we would like to know......" Two fires suddenly light up behind Yuuwa. Asago and Tsukasa are silhouetted against the flames.

Yuuwa, looking very worried: "...Ah."

Asago, taking a hold of his head in one hand and smacking it with the other: "Hey!! Is what your sister said true!!? That a strange group took Sakahogi's kumicho away!!"

Tsukasa: "Gimme that!" She grabs Yuuwa's head and starts smacking it as well. "So what happened to Ryuji who was with him huh!? Where's Ryuji!!"

Asago: "Hey!!" She backfists Tsukasa in the stomach. Yuuwa is keeling over as Tsukasa let's go.

Asago: "Isn't that something I'm supposed to be asking!? You're just a bodyguard!!"

Tsukasa: "What's that!? Why should it matter who worries about Ryuji be it a bodyguard or a seisai CANDIDATE!!"

Asago: {You stressed the word candidate didn't you, you guy-girl---!} "Don't make me the same as you! I don't love Ryuji as a friend like you do! The type of "love" you and I have towards Ryuji isn't the same!!"

Tsukasa, looking surprised: {---... "Love".....} "...T... Types...?"

Asago: "That's right! You're almost 15, you should have been in love one or twice by now."

Tsukasa felt like she's stabbed: "Well...!" She suddenly remember Akira, and her conversation with Taku. {That's right Akira-san!! I was in love with Akira-san!!} "Of course I know what the feeling of love is. Since I too have been through a love or two~~~"

Asago, royally pissed: "Then I'm sure you know the difference between "loving" your friends and your brothers and real love!!"

Tsukasa, changing into a guy with a tacky mustache, suddenly sitting down with a glass of wine. "Of course! Loving one's friends and family compared with love is different as the following!"

She starts thinking. {Love towards one's friends.} Izushi and Yabu come up in her mind. {Love towards one's family.} Her brothers and Kaya pop up in her mind. {And this is my love towards Akira-san.} She thinks awhile. "......" {...Huh...? ...It's the same...? Why...?}

Asago: "Hey---! Him! That one! Someone catch that gaki---!" [gaki = brat, kid, especially an annoying one]

Tsukasa: "E? What's going on?"

She leaves the room to see Yuuwa being caught by two kumiin.

Kumiin: "Calm down you gaki---!"

Asago: "How shamelessly your sister calls into an enemy's hold like this when her brother is caught! And then for you to try to escape from Kuryugumi in broad daylight! Don't you understand what kind of situation you're in!?"

Yuuwa: "Let me go to the Washington Garden Hotel! Something happened to my sister!"

Asago: "Hmm. Don't you love your sister a lot."

Yuuwa, sneers at that: "Wouldn't you go to your sister if you were in the same situation as me!?"

Asago, with her arms crossed: "No. If it were my sister, she could get out of a situation by herself!" {If not, I wouldn't recognize her as my sister.}

Yuuwa: "...Then... Aren't you worried about Shirogami Ryuji!?"

Asago freezes, and recalls Ryuji's words.

'---If something were to happen to me, you're going to have to take my place.'

She starts shaking.

Yuuwa: "......"

'Asago, never think of yourself as a staff supporting a pillar. You're going to become a pillar to support Kuryugumi. And don't forget that upon what you're supporting how many thousands, ten thousands of people there are!!'

Asago, shaking: "...Worry...? ...About Ryuji...? Don't kid with me... It's not like that Ryuji would make a blunder that will cause other to worry...! I won't worry...!!"

Tsukasa, pushing the kumiin's arm away from Yuuwa: "---If you won't, then I will."

Asago: "!?"

Kumiin: "!"

Tsukasa: "I don't want to be just sitting here if Ryuji may be in a fix. This guy's sister who was at the scene may know what happened to Ryuji. I'm going." Turning to Yuuwa. "Come on!!"

Yuuwa: "Okay aniki." [aniki = another word for older brother, or male superior in "male" language]

Asago: "Hey wait a minute---!!"

Yuuwa: "Hey! Why do I have to call you aniki?" [Well, there's a literary problem. Tsukasa said "Come on!!" in a way that she was Yuuwa's superior or something.]

Tsukasa: "Shut up!" She and Yuuwa start running.

Asago: "Wait a minute---!"

Kumiin: "Asago ojyousan!?" {Where to!?}

Asago, turning to point at the kumiin: "You there contact father!! Ryuji may have become involved in Sakahogi and some other kumi's fight!!"

Kumiin: "!!"

In some isolated area. [A warehouse?]

Sound effects of someone being beaten.

Sakahogi, Kamo-san and Bun-san look on coldly and in silence. [Although you can't tell, I assume that their wrists are bound behind their backs.]

Tooya: "...So... Are you feeling like returning the drugs stolen from our kumi... Sakahogi-san."

Tooya is sitting with his back to Ryuji who's arms are chained above his head. Some man, (probably a kumiin of Hizakigumi) is beating Ryuji with a metal pipe [Well that's what it looks like to me].

Blood drips out from the corner of Ryuji's lips, but he doesn't say a word.

[How the heck did they get themselves captured anyway!?]

Kamo-san, whispering: "...Don't say anything. If they learn that the drugs no longer exist, then they'll kill us and anyone who knows about the drug."

Sakahogi: "...But..."

Kamo-san, looking serious: "...This is Sandaime's order."

Tooya, snickering: "Sakahogi-san, because you called Shirogami-kun for help, he's facing this, but it doesn't bother you at all. I thought that you'd feel guilt because of the torturing." {Too~~ ba~~d.} "Well I don't really care if you remain silent, since I can torture Shirogami-kun until he dies."

Ryuji: "... 'Are you feeling like returning the drugs stolen from our kumi...'? Aren't you the ones that had it stolen from you so easily......? Manuke..." He spits out blood. [manuke = baka, aho, stupid]

Tooya gets this wicked look in his eyes. He delivers a kick to Ryuji. "...Do you want to die now...?"

A knife blade shoots out of nowhere, piercing a rat. The rat screams.

Sakahogi, Kamo-san, and Bun-san start.

The knife blade is lifted and the rat slides down the blade twitching.

Tooya, snickering: "...You want to see blood... Rui." The guy/girl seems to have a female name. [Ha! I was right!]

Rui is sitting down on the floor, looking at the dead rat intensely. She seems to be dressed in dark clothing, a dress-like thingie.

Tooya: "...Fine. Go play."

She whips the rat to the floor.

Sakahogi: "......"

Tooya: "---But I'll deliver the final blow. Don't kill him."

Kamo-san and Bun-san: "..."

Tooya: "...Well... if that's possible for you......"

Ryuji eyes the woman.

Rui steps to take a slice at him.

Sakahogi suddenly recalls the dead bodies back at the hotel [which changed names]. ".....! W...! Wait!! If you save him I'll return the drugs---!!"

Kamo-san starts.

Tooya: "Too late!!"

But as Rui's arm arcs around, the blade comes in contact with nothing. She's surprised. She glances up to see that Ryuji had pulled himself out of the way with the chain.

Tooya, looking very disappointed: "...I guess not." {After torturing him that much that he can still move. I don't like that---}

Behind Tooya, Kamo-san smiles: "Aah! Sandaime!"

Tooya, taking out a cell phone [not one of those computerized phones]: "...Fine, the negotiations are complete." {It's kampai to Shirogami-kun's stamina.} [kampai = cheers] "You've got no complaints right?"

In the background, Kamo-san's whispering: "Aaah, the negotiations have been made. Sakahogi-san, how are you going to return the drugs you don't have?"

Sakahogi-san: "U..."

Tooya, handing the phone to Sakahogi: "Here. Call your kumiin. Tell them to bring the drugs."

Sakahogi starts sweating.

The phone: "Hello. Sakahogi's office--- Who is this--- How about a name---"

Back at the hotel.

Akira: "Why...? Why are you in a place like this---!?"

Tsukasa, scratching her head: "To pick up someone~~~"

Akira: "Pick up someone!?"

Tsukasa, pointing to Yuuwa and Minobu: "That."

Minobu, crying: "Minobu was scared!!! Minobu was scared~~~ Yuuwa! Yuuwaaaa."

Yuuwa is holding his little sister. Asago looks disgusted.

Yuuwa: "Minobu, not 'Yuuwa', but 'onii-chan' isn't it?"

Minobu: "I don't like that, it sounds like siblings. Minobu's going to become your bride!!" She hugs her brother hard.

Yuuwa: "AAAAAA!"

Asago, looking seriously disgusted: {...What's that. How sickening between siblings!!}

[Please note, Minobu is very young, although I have no idea how old she is. She calls herself by her name, and doesn't use "I". I only used it 'cause it sounded better that way in English.]

Tsukasa, trying to look cute and tugging on Akira's sleeve: "Akira-san. Akira-san. Can we take her home? It's okay right?" [Actually, there are heart marks after each sentence.]

Akira: "E? Aah... U~~~n I don't know... She doesn't answer any questions, but if such a small child is here then she must have been with parents. I want to find her parents......" {If they're not dead......}

Tsukasa, walking so that she's only moving her feet. [I mean really, without moving the rest of her legs] "Minobu-chan, Minobu-chan!"

Minobu: "Kya!" She takes refuge behind her brother.

Yuuwa: "You! Don't approach in such a strange manner! You're scaring Minobu!"

Tsukasa, leaning over: "Minobu-chan, when you saw your father being taken away by strange people, did you see a guy like this with him?" Tsukasa takes out a montage from nowhere, and shows her a picture of Ryuji.

Minobu: "...Minobu... doesn't know... Saw a pretty woman with long blond hair walk into the hotel and start defeating people. I was scared and hid in the bushes. ...So... I don't remember anyone else other than Dad...... ...A... But... Um... There was a guy whose hair stood up like this." She points up into the air.

Tsukasa's blacklist shows up.

Tsukasa: "I know without having to look at this---!" She whips the book away.

Asago and Tsukasa take turns grabbing Yuuwa's collar, causing him to spin.

Asago: "You---! Why didn't you say that in the beginning!!?"

Tsukasa: "That you were up against such a big syndicate plus head that you needed Kuryugumi as a shield you bastard---!"

Asago: "That's right! If it's him, of course he won't leave Ryuji alone!!"

Akira comes up between them: "...What are you talking about?"

Tsukasa and Asago start.

Tsukasa: "Kyaaa---!" [That's a rather girly scream for her]

Asago's phone rings all of the sudden. Tsukasa screams again.

Asago: "Hello! Yes! It's me!!" Asago had punched Tsukasa's face to get her out of the way. "E?" She has one of those computerized phone thingies like Minobu did. She looks worried. "...What!? Wait!! Why's that happening!!? Where's father!? E!? He's not there!? Ooh---!! Okay! I'm coming back right away! Try not to make the problem bigger!!" {Understand!?}

Tsukasa: "...Something happened.....?"

Asago looks back at Tsukasa. She looks totally freaked now.

Tsukasa: ".....!? Asago.....?"

Asago starts running off.

Tsukasa: "Asago!?"

The driver: "Ojyousan!"

Yuuwa: ".....!"

Tsukasa starts running after her: "Asago!"

A hand grabs her shoulder. "Tsukasa!"

She turns to see Akira.

Akira: "What? What happened? You're not involved in this mass murder......"

Tsukasa shakes her head violently: "No no no! I'm not involved!!"

Akira doesn't look like he believes her: "...Reall~~~y?"

Tsukasa: "Really, really! Believe me!!"

Akira: "H----m... Fine. Then if you kiss me here I'll believe you." [!!?]

Tsukasa: "Really!?" {Leave it to me.} She kisses him on the cheek. She starts running off. "Later Akira-san, I gotta go---!"

Akira looks stunned: {---What... was that just now... ...How simply and lightly too...... I meant it as a joke...... ...But either way, ...this is as if---...}

Back at the Kuryugumi main house.

Asago, Tsukasa and Yuuwa get out of the car to see a huge crowd of people.

Tsukasa: "...A..."

Asago: "...W..."

It's Kuryugumi vs Sakahogigumi. They're all glaring at the opposite party.

Kuryugumi kumiin: "Bastards! If something happens to our Sandaime how are you going to repay us!?"

"Fight your own fights won't you!"

"You cowards!!!"

Sakahogigumi kumiin: "Wha~~~~~t!!?"

"Who the hell's gonna use your help!! Give back Yuuwa bocchan!! That's under Sakahogi kumicho's orders!! Give him back and we'll finish the job ourselves!!"

Kuryugumi kumiin: "What do you mean you'll do the job yourselves!!? Don't make us laugh!! You've already involved us in this---!!!" One kumiin darts out and punches out one of Sakahogigumi kumiin.

Sakahogigumi kumiin: "...Bastards---!!!" Some of them draw guns.

Yuuwa, with Minobu hiding behind him: "Shit! It may become a koroshiai!!" [koroshiai = fighting between two groups that leads to killing] Mayhem breaks out.

Asago: {...No... There's no time for Sakahogigumi and Kuryugumi to be fighting like this...! I have to stop this...!}

Ryuji's words echo in her mind again.

'---If something were to happen to me, you're going to have to take my place.'

Asago, her heart racing: {...A... I have to stop this...? ...Me.....? How...!? ---Ryuji... What would Ryuji do......!? At a time like this, Ryuji would---}

A large gun is raised into the air. The bearer of the gun starts firing.

Kumiin on both sides freeze: "!!"

Everyone stops to stare at the figure standing on top of the car with the gun. Tsukasa lowers the weapon, and glances down at Asago.

Tsukasa: "---What are you worrying about? Didn't Ryuji tell you that you were to become a pillar to help support Kuryugumi with him?"

Asago, blushing: "---But I can't take Ryuji's......!!" {I don't know what ...!!}

Tsukasa, matter-of-factly: "---Ryuji said there were two pillars."

Asago looks at her, not understanding the meaning of Tsukasa's words.

Tsukasa: "...So... Doesn't that mean you don't have to be Ryuji and that you can do things your way..."

Asago realizes what Tsukasa's saying, and looks up in surprise.

Tsukasa gestures to the crowd with the tilt of her head: {Do it!}

Asago smiles, and stands up straight: "Kuryugumi kumiin, Sakahogigumi kumiin I'm warning you!! I will not allow you to fight your differences now that the kumichos of both Kuryugumi and Sakahogigumi are in danger!!! Though we have not pledged loyalty to each other, our goal is the same. To accomplish rescuing both kumichos I order that Kuryugumi does everything possible to aid Sakahogigumi!"

The kumiin of Kuryugumi start talking among themselves.

One of Kuryugumi's kumiin: "Wh! You've gotta be kidding Asago ojyousan! Why the hell do we have to help these guys!!? Because of them Sandaime...!"

Asago: "Quiet!!"

The crowd quiets instantly.

Asago: "This is by order of the seisai!!"

Asago's arms are crossed and she's leaning on the front end of the car.

Tsukasa is sitting on the roof of the car and still has the gun in her hand. Very impressive combo.
