Tsukasa, screaming nearby: "A---! There---!! I've found you! You inhumane kidnapping panda and rabbit combo------!! WAIT THERE------!!" She's seen chasing after the panda and rabbit.

Asago: "...A, speaking of which........."

Sumire, who's behind Azuma, who's behind Tsukasa: "Good! That's it!! Catch 'em-!!"

Tsukasa, all charged up: "'Kaaaay!!"

Azuma: "......" He turns to Sumire in midstride. "...Ojyousan, are those 2 the earlier panda and rabbit?"

Sumire: "Yeah, they are the panda and the rabbit aren't they!!"

Sumire: "!! The rabbit's defending the panda!!"

Azuma: "That's strange...! If the people in those mascots are really Takarabegumi's kumiin then even if they are allies, they wouldn't help each other out...!! ...Those people must be........."

Tsukasa, very pissed off is kicking at the rabbit: "You rabbit---! What did you do with Asaba-kun---!!?"

The panda is trying to stop Tsukasa with no luck.

Ryuji: "...Hey, stop it about there."

Rabbit: "!"

Panda: "!"

Tsukasa starts. Her foot is on the rabbit's head.

Tsukasa has the rabbit by the ears.

The occupants of the costumes sigh.

Kamo-san removes the panda 'head', while Bun-san removes the rabbit 'head'. [By the way, Bun-san is not wearing his glasses... how can he see?]

Ryuji and Asago are expressionless: "...... ......"

Tsukasa is visibly shocked: "...!! ...K...! Kamo-san, Bun-san...!!" {What the hell are you two doing!!?}

Kamo-san, raising a clawed paw: "...But while you say that Sandaime... When we heard that your destination was Osaka, even if you say we don't have to follow we cannot sit back and watch you go."

Ryuji, with his arms crossed: {Didn't I say that} "If people like you are following me 24 hours a day it makes me stand out even more!!"

Kamo-san: "...That's why we used these costumes~..."

Tsukasa: "And you looked suspicious and were stopped," {by a man named Azuma.}

Sumire: "..."

Sumire, getting ready to throw a tantrum: "That kuso oyaji---!!" Her fangs are out. [Kuso is usually translated as shit, while oyaji refers to father... Maybe the old man would be a better translation.] "Azuma-san, I'm going to go hit the kuso oyaji!! Come with me---!!"

Azuma: "A... H... Ha!"

Tsukasa: "...A Wait! I'll..."

Ryuji: "!"

Asago is yawning.

Ryuji grabs Tsukasa by the back of her collar.

Tsukasa lets out a yelp. "... ...What?"

Ryuji: "... ...Even if you go you can't do anything...... Don't do anything unnecessary."

Bun-san and Kamo-san are talking quietly while taking off their costumes. They are dressed in their suits underneath. [... Wasn't it hot!!?]

Asago, looking bored: "...A~... ...It looks like the baka's sick again!" {Forget about other people!!} "Right Ryu..."

Ryuji, looking angry is walking off.

Kamo-san and Asago: "A?"

Asago: "Ryuji~~~!!"

Kamo-san and/or Bun-san: "Sa Sandaime---!!"

At Office Tawarabe. [!!? Is this group called Tawarabe or Takarabe!!? I don't get it!!]

In some room.

Tsubaki: "...You... You think that using me as bait will get father to listen to you right......... ...How optimistic... Now matter what you say the man won't move!" Tsubaki has his wrists and ankles shackled.

Man: "... ...I wonder about that......." He exhales, blowing smoke. "...Up until now the kumicho's been indifferent about his kumiin being killed but when his son's life is in danger, ...I don't think..."

The door to the room opens.

Kumiin: "Kumicho!"

Kumicho: "What is it?"

Kumiin: "I made a threat to Kadokanegumi!!"

Tsubaki starts: "!"

Kumicho: "Oo And their response?"

Kumiin: "'You aho!!'"

Silence.

Kumicho: "Who are you speaking those words to------!!"

Sounds of someone getting beaten up.

Kumiin: "Guaaa! No! It's not me! This is the aho from Kadokane---!"

Kumicho: "You aho! Did you use the son as bait!!?"

Kumiin: "I did too!!"

Tsubaki: "..." He sighs. {...I thought so---...... ...No matter what the guy says... I know...... ---I bet---...}

In front of Kadokanegumi.

Man: "---It's his fault he got captured. If he doesn't want to die then he has to something about it himself---"

Azuma, Sumire and Tsukasa are accompanied by Ryuji, Asago, Bun-san and Kamo-san.

Sumire: "...You mean...... ...Ooki-san... ...That kuso oyaji... said that to Takarabegumi........." [Ooki, a last name, seems to be the man's name.]

Ooki: "He did."

Sumire: "~~~!! ~~~!! ~~~!! I'm pissed------!! I'm really going to punch him out---!!"

Tsukasa: "...He's cold even though his own son's life is in danger......"

Asago, matter-of-factly: "Even among the katagi, the rule is 'protect one's self by himself'. It's obvious to be told that in the world of the gokudo." [Katagi in case you've forgotten is 'honest, law abiding citizen/everyday people']

Tsukasa: "Yeah, but Ryuji, a gokudo has people like Kamo-san and Bun-san who care for his welfare."

Ryuji starts.

Asago: "Of course." {It's their job to protect Ryuji.} "And could you not compare any old gokudo's son to the kumicho that heads Kanto's Kuryugumi!? The weight of the title they're carrying is much different!" She grabs at Tsukasa's collar and points at her.

Tsukasa: "...That doesn't make sense... I won't acknowledge that theory."

Sumire: "...Let me through Ooki-san."

Ooki: "No. When you and Tsubaki-san left for Tokyo, your ties with your father were broken. He said not to let any outsiders in."

Sumire, getting visibly pissed: "...!!"

Bun-san: "...Kamojima-san... Should we not leave here before they discover who Sandaime is?" {If they find out here we'll be at an disadvantage.}

Kamo-san: "...U~m......."

Tsukasa: "...!"

Sumire: "...Fine... If you're going to be like that then... I'll make an announcement that'll make any gokudo appear! Listen carefully!!" She points at Ryuji. "This person is the Kanto's top gokudo, Shirogami Ryuji-kun, Kuryugumi's sandaime kumicho---!!" [sandaime in this case means the 3rd]

Everyone freaks except for Ryuji. Even Asago looks surprised. Tsukasa, Bun-san and Kamo-san are in panic.

The kumiin of Kadokanegumi start talking.

"The Kanto's...!?"

"Kuryugumi you say...!?"

"The one who succeeded the title Sandaime at age 14...!?"

Sumire: "I've heard that father said 'I want to know what the gaki's like'---!!" {I've heard it from mother---!} "If you want to see him then come out------!!"

Bun-san: "AAA! That girl!"

Kamo-san: "How could she......!" Bun-san and Kamo-san start moving in front of Ryuji.

The kumiin of Kadokanegumi start to surround Ryuji and company.

Tsukasa, who's back-to-back with Ryuji: "...Ryuji-kun... Would you like to be my cute younger brother Kozuki Toshiyuki?"

Ryuji: "...Younger brother...? Don't you mean older brother?" {In terms of persuasive power.}

Tsukasa: "Aah, I see." {That makes sense.} "Then from now, you're my oniichan. Your name's Takuma." [Oniichan = older brother.]

Ryuji: {What a pain.} "Do you think they'll fall for that? We can fight our way out of this one."

Tsukasa: "No!! Then that'll cause a problem with Asaba-kun's place!! If we're going to convince them to help Asaba-kun,"

Some of the kumiin back off as a woman passes among them.

Azuma: "! ...A..."

Tsukasa: "if we do that then it'll be harder to persuade them..."

Sound effects of someone being punched.

One of the kumiin goes flying through the air and lands on his back.

Tsukasa: "... ...He...?"

Bun-san, looking shocked: "...Sa..."

Kamo-san and Asago also look freaked.

Sumire: "..."

Tsukasa: "... ...He~y, hey..."

Kumiin: "---..."

"You think you can return to Tokyo alive......" One of them draws his gun.

"Bastards!"

Tsukasa: "...What's with you after saying that! Hey! That you would strike first...!" {It's not like you......}

Ryuji whispers: "...Asaba......"

Tsukasa: "...He...?"

Ryuji's company looks shocked.

Tsukasa: {...W... What......!?}

Kumiin: "Kill them------!!"

Woman: "Wait!!" The kumiin stop immediately. "...I'll take things from here......"

Kumiin: "...A..." They back off.

Tsukasa: "!!"

Kumiin: "Anesan" [Anesan is what kumiin often call the kumicho's wife. The boss's wife.]

Sumire: "...Mother!"

Woman: "...Is the one there the one who hit one of our younger ones---- Kuryugumi's Sandaime..."

Ryuji glares back at her.

Woman: "... ...Young man... ...Do you hate married women...?" She takes Ryuji's hands in hers. {How good looking.}

The kumiin all trip. Asago and Tsukasa have huge eyes.

Woman: "Good timing. I've been wanting to have a go with a young one." {How about a go after some tea?} She starts pulling Ryuji by the arm.

Asago has Ryuji by the other arm.

Asago and Tsukasa: "HEYHEYHEY-!!"

Sumire, blushing: "Mother!"

Kumiin: "Anesan!! With some unknown young man!! And a yakuza from the east! If he sees this then......!"

A loud footstep silences everyone in fear.

The kumiin feel like there's giant behind them. A large man stands behind them glaring. They all blanch.

Woman: "..." She smiles slyly. She's hanging off of Ryuji's left arm.

Asago, who looks a bit worried is hanging off of Ryuji's right arm. The 3 of them have their back to the 'giant' man.

Tsukasa, who glances behind her: "...A..."

Sumire, who also looks back: "A"

Some time later in Kadokanegumi.

The kumiin are talking amongst themselves in the halls.

"...Still..."

"For the anesan to do that........."

"In the middle of a fight, she says something like 'I'll switch over to a manly man who's younger than you who's in charge of a larger kumi' and she really returns with such a guy."

"But you are talking about that anesan." {When she says something she means it.}

"..Fight meaning that? Something about Tsubaki-san's life in exchange for some proposal Takarabegumi has been offering..."

"That's right."

"They never fight but that young one......... I don't know if he's Kuryugumi's kumicho or something but he's gonna see blood~~~"

Woman: "..." She smiles slyly.

Ryuji, who's squished between 2 women: "..."

Asago, sitting very close to Ryuji on his right side: "......! ......!"

Tsukasa: "..."

Sumire: "Mother---!"

The kumicho of Kadokanegumi is labelled as Kadokanegumi's Nidaime kumicho Asaba Itsuro.

They're all sitting at a table. Itsuro is sitting at one end. Tsukasa is sitting by herself on the left side. Across from Itsuro is Asago, Ryuji, his wife and Sumire.

Woman [Darn, doesn't she have a name?]: "...I'll let go when you get Tsubaki back."

Itsuro: "If you're worried about Tsubaki's safety then don't saying anything and don't ask anything, and just leave---"

The anesan: "You---!!" {You're changing the subject---!!}

Itsuro: "...What are you suggesting I do? To take on Takarabe's aho proposal...? Even if I joined this kumi with Takarabe's kumi, there's no way we can stand up to that Garyukai!!" [kai From Garyukai means something like company/group. Sometimes Kuryugumi is referred to as Kuryukai.]

Kamo-san and Bun-san: "!!"

Bun-san, blanching: "Garyukai...!! The greatest in the Kansai... The violent syndicate that seems more mysterious the more you look into it!!"

Kamo-san: "And you were planning to destroy it with this level of syndicate power!! What a thoughtless plan!! It's suicidal!!"

Bun-san likewise had intercepted Itsuro's katana with his bare hands.

Itsuro: "...Either way..." They all sit down again. "Even Kanto's top gokudo Kuryugumi is saying that. I won't accept Takarabegumi's aho dream of overpowering Garyukai. I don't care if I'm called squeamish. I'm not going to end Kadokanegumi in my generation!! I only fight when I know I can win!!"

Itsuro: "!!" {---W... What's with this gaki?}

Sumire: "Father!!"

Itsuro: {...Something fatherly... Now that I think about it I haven't done a single fatherly thing to him...... But before I am a father, I am a kumicho that must protect Kadokanegumi...!! I can't change the ways of the kumi that have been in place for so long...... ...But... this involves Tsubaki......}

Tsukasa: "...You come to this and you're still undecided..."

Itsuro: "...!"

Sumire is totally speechless: "...W..."

The kumiin looks shocked as well.
