The night spun a web around her, as the darkness seemed
to creep so silently everywhere. Her breathing was hard, but
who can blame her? She had been running for so long… so was
so exhausted. She had been running since the evening sun had
still been up in the air. And now, the grinning moon bathed the
earth with its beauty, and all she could do is continue her mad
ran.
She had to run.
It was what kept her existence.
She shuddered at the thought of what was to happen if she
had not, what happen if she let the others catch her, to let them
get a hold of her.
Death.
She didn't want to die; she knew that no one did, unless
that person had no reason to live. She didn't have a real reason
to live – only an ambition that she can make it in this world,
that she could do her mother proud…
She continued to run, her legs burning.
'I must go on…
I must live…'
She continued to carry herself without stumbling as she
turned, escaping the hardships of the forest and into the streets.
The glows of the fire within the captives' arms were faint
behind her.

Sukiyaki - 4 P M
It's all because of you
I'm feeling sad and blue
You went away, now my life is just a rainy day
And I love you so
How much you'll never know
You've gone away and left me lonely
Untouchable memories
Seem to keep haunting me
Another love so true
That once turned all my gray skies blue
But you disappeared
Now my eyes are filled with tears
And I'm wishing you were here with me
Soft with love are my thoughts of you
Now that you're gone, I just don't know what to do
If only you were here
You'd wash away my tears
The sun would shine
Once again you'd be mine all mine
But in reality
You and I will never be
'Cause you took your love away from me
(Bridge:)
Girl, I don't know what I did
To make you leave me
But what I do know
Is that since you've been gone
There's such an emptiness inside...
I'm wishing you'd come back to me
If only you were here
You'd wash away my tears
The sun would shine
Once again you'd be mine all mine
But in reality
You and I will never be
'Cause you took your love away from me...
Oh, baby
You took your love away from me...

(dette is French for debt. I thought I would get a little technical
and actually use the French dictionary of mine. ^^)

He stepped out the bar, what was he to do now? It was
only two after sun down, and he was already bored. He didn't
feeling like lingering in with his friends within the bar that was
to intoxicate them with the tantalizing drinks that they served.
He sighed, thinking hard, he could go to one of his mistress,
and god knows how much they would be please that he finally
decided to show up for once instead of looking for others.
He smiled at that fact. He was but the most handsome
man within Chypre, and he was proud of it. Not a lady refused
to swoon at his feet, married and not. He grinned, enjoying the
ego boosting that he was giving to himself.
But he still found himself bored.
He groaned, as he continued to walk down the trail,
thinking of whether he should visit Beryl or Lissa.

'Gypsy witch.'
That was what their dark words screamed at her. She
shuddered, was this what they preferred her to? A witch? A
gypsy? Her beautiful blue eyes sadden, as she could feel her legs
began to cramp up, but she refuse to stop.
Her mother was a gypsy. A beautiful one too. She had
long silky jet-black hair and tantalizing ocean blue eyes, which
she had inherited. Her mother had fallen for her father, an
aristocrat, as she would describe him to her. She said he had the
same golden blonde hair as she and the sweetest voice…
But he had left, summoned by his father.
Her mother had never saw him again, and soon after, she
had found herself impregnated with her. She was filled with
much joy, the fact that she had something of her father…
She didn't know whether to look up to her mother or
comment on how foolish she was. She had missed her father,
but never had any grudges against him because, as she said, that
she knew that just having her was enough…
She could never be like that, giving into love like that. She
would be strong, not foolish…
But it was not right to say that about her mother, the
person who had carried her through birth, as she was shunned
and called a whore and later on was worked to the bone until
her dying day. She had promised her mom that she would life
the fullest, and to find love.
Her mother had been one that always gave into the heart.
But now what, she panted hard? The thoughts of her
mother had not caused the pain to cease. No - far from it. The
pain was throbbing, her breathing so harsh. What was she to
do? Just because she was but part of a gypsy was so place the
burden of the death of the lord of her house? She was a servant,
doing her work. Her Lord, of Jun, had been a kind one, and he
had always greeted her and acted as if she was human – unlike
his wife and his sons. But he had fallen ill and died, and then
everyone started to accuse her.
A gypsy… they kept on saying.
A witch…
They were to kill her to relieve the curse upon the family.
She didn't know whether to cry or laugh at the irony. She
new of no curse, she didn't even know much of what made her
different from everyone else? She was not even a full gypsy and
knew not of her real heritage! What was she to do? She had
heard the news from her friend who told her that they were to
burn her tonight and told her to run.
She had left, but soon they found out she was gone and
followed her.
The curse… to relieve the curse. They had exclaimed.
She grunted.
Maybe they were the witches.
~~~
A shuffle.
He spun around in surprise.
It was but another road to the house that he had purchased
for one of his mistress – Beryl, to live in. He frowned, what was
that noise?
It sounded like people…
But it was dark…
'Maybe I should have brought my horse…' he couldn't
help but think, but he had not brought it earlier due to his lack
of decision-making earlier in the evening. He had brought his
carriage, but soon after had sent his driver home, saying that
he'll surly find a way home, for he might not show up at all.
He groaned.
How many more steps?
Another shuffle.
He stopped, and turned around.
In the blackness of the night, he could see a figure appear
from the mist of the forest, her eyes staring at him in surprise.
"Mademoiselle?" He questioned, as she seem to run out of
breath, her legs wanting to collapse as he had caught her gently.
Cosmic.
Fulfilling.
He shuddered at the thought of how one touch could make
him feel.
"I… Monsieur…" she said, so out of breathe. "Help…
men, following me… please…" Her eyes were frantic, almost
near tears. He nodded, doing as she summoned as he took her
behind him, as a group of men had soon showed up, red with
anger.
"The girl, she is but a gypsy witch… she has put a curse
onto my family and I vow vengeance for my decease father."
The man's arising green eyes were filled with frenzy as he could
feel her grasp tightened.
Lust.
He groaned inwardly, as the man's voice brought him back
to reality. "Give her."
"What makes you think that she's a gypsy witch?" He
asked the emerald-eyed man, "And even if she was a gypsy, how
would you know she was a witch? It's quite a reasonable
question, I mean, just because you hang around men, doesn't
mean you like them, am I right?"
The emerald man turned a strange color as he continued
on, "Anyways, look at her! Innocence wraps around her as her
aura is not dark, but more of a silver color…"
"Then why did she run away?"
He laughed, "I would run away too if I knew that a bunch
of men were to chase me around and try to kill me."
The other men were not amused.
"How do you know she put a spell onto your family?"
"My father died – and the others rumor about her…"
He laughed, "Yes, but have you thought that it might be
them that have caused this? Think about it, if they were the
ones who put the spell onto your family, wouldn't they be the
only who made sure someone else was to be blamed? Especially
one that was a gypsy? It targets them less…"
"But…"
"But wait, there is also the whole fact that you cannot kill
her… because to do so is it kill my property."
"Property?"
"Why, yes, she had sold herself to me. And so now she is
mine. And, well, I paid good money for her and I won't let you
do anything to take away what I soulfully own."
The others looked at each other, talking within themselves
as the girl behind him gasped at him, "Own me?" She seemed
to question, as he grinned cockily. He liked the way this was
turning out. Soon this girl will swoon over him and well, he'll
have another bedmate.
"If the curse is not lift, I will come back." The emerald
man said, as he turned around with his 'mob' disappearing into
the woods.
"Oh, monsieur! Merci!" She exclaimed, as he shrugged.
He stared at her, taking her beauty in. Long legs, beautiful
developed body, deep eyes, beautiful face, and rich golden
hair…
He sucked in a deep breath.
But he also observed that she hadn't cared much about him,
or even looked at him actually. He refused to be defeated! She
had continued on her thanks and then was preparing to leave as
he pulled her back, his eyes hard as she took shock in her next
words.
"Wait, you can't leave. I saved your life, a life for a life….
You are but in debt with me now. You can't leave, you owe
me… and you will repay me…"
"What??"
"Your in debt! Without me you would have died, so your
life is but mine… now you belong to me!"
She stared at him in shock.
