Author’s Notes:
I made a revision of Chapter one, correcting some mistakes and spelling
errors I had. I also saw that I called Chibi-Usa Rini, instead of her
Japanese name. I think I also changed hat in the revision. I also split the
chapter into two parts, like I know I should have done in the first place.
There are no major changes, Just a few extra sentences or a small paragraph
that I thought needed to be added. I’m sorry I missed the deadline last
week, and I hope I can get out Chapter 5 by next week. Thanks to all who
emailed me, and I hope you enjoy this chapter although I know it could be
better. Mainly I wrote this chapter so I could EXPLAIN some things in the
story. nothing MAJOR happens, but I’m spoiling it aren’t I...PS keep looking
for chapter Five. I hope to make that the turning point of this story. In
the Future, Look out for a series I am working on called Stranded. If I get
enough email on the first few chapters I will continue it. Also about Am I
finally Normal, and Finally Going Home. I have some chapters all ready hand
written for them both, but have yet to type anything. And On FGH, I am
having MAJOR Writer’s block on that one. If any one has suggestions, (or
flames or creative criticism for that matter) I will happily listen to ANY
email that comes my way.
Disclaimers: I do not own Sailor Moon, though I wish I owned a real life
Mamo-chan!:::sigh:::, or the following:
Dr. Evil
Mini-Me
Prozac
BUT!!! I do claim all rights to this story. And without further adieu...

USAGI AND MAMORU-THE AFTER MATH Part Four
Dealing With Problems, because the worst is over?

Usagi sat up, she slowly blinked her eyes and remembered where she
was. She was in their apartment. When she thought of her and Mamoru sharing
an apartment, she smiled. It was THEIR apartment, THEIR bedroom. * Mine and
Mamo-chan’s * she thought, but her happy thought and bright smile soon
turned to a grim frown. *But how long will he want to share an apartment
with a psycho-path?” she thought and looked around once more.
It had been one week since the incident with Ami, Makoto and Haruka.
Ami had given her an ultimatum. One week to make up her mind about taking
Ami’s offer of help. If not, and Usagi got worse, there was no choice but to
be committed. Usagi shuddered at the idea of an asylum. She thought about
the consequences of her disease and how they would affect her friends.
Makoto and her new boyfriend, Ted, were living together in an
apartment down the hall. * If I leave, I wonder if Makoto will go back to
drinking...* Usagi remembered Makoto’s oath to Usagi after Ken had died.

FLASHBACKFLASHBACK~~~~Last year-Christmas~~~~FLASHBACKFLASHBACK
Makoto had a slight problem, and she admitted it. Whenever she got
upset or something bad happened in her life, even the slightest problem,
Makoto would drink her strife away. You wouldn’t think her a drinker, unless
you knew her as only Usagi and Ken did. Ken and Usagi had both pleaded with
Makoto. It never worked and although by being seventeen she was underage...
she still managed to get alcohol. If she could change the past, Makoto would
have stopped drinking. She wouldn’t have gotten in that argument with Ken.
He wouldn’t have stormed out of her apartment on that snowy night. He
wouldn’t have died in a wreck. He wouldn’t have been the third victim in
Kenji’s car accident. Makoto didn’t blame Kenji Tsukino for the wreck. She
didn’t blame Ken or the drunk driver in the pick-up truck. She blamed
herself for the death of Ken. That night she vowed to never touch another
drop of alcohol again. It was her last promise to Ken.
FLASHBACKFLASHBACK~~~~~~~~~Present~~~~~~~~FLASHBACKFLASHBACK

Usagi prayed that Makoto wouldn’t resort to drinking if she,
herself, got worse. Usagi then thought of her other friends and their
problems. Minako’s smoking habit, Ami’s chronic studying...which Usagi found
out was from the death of her abusive father and the strictness of her
mother. Ami’s father had beaten her when she was little because he said she
was stupid and would never be anything. Ami’s mother was stern and strict.
She was a hard example to follow, but Ami tried. When Ami got her Master’s
and MD in neuro-surgery and Bachelor’s in psychology, the only praise she
got from her mother was a ‘So far, so good...Ami.’
Then she thought of Rei. Rei hadn’t come around to see Usagi lately.
After the incident where Mamoru first found out about Usagi’s disease, Rei
barely spoke to the other girls and never to Usagi. Once she had asked
Minako why Rei hadn’t been around and Minako told her the Gramps had been
sick lately. Usagi took the excuse, but didn’t believe it. Maybe she could
go visit Rei.
The outers, compared to the inners, had an easy life in Usagi’s
eyes. Setsuna and Hotura were rarely seen unless needed and Haruka and
Michiru had a perfect relationship not to mention they were filthy rich! But
Usagi knew they had problems, even though Haruka and Michiru tried to hide
them. Haruka was pregnant. She and Michiru had an argument about Haruka’s
flirtatious way, and Michiru had kicked her out of the apartment. She had
gone to a bar, gotten drunk and passed out. She later awoke in a cheap motel
on a bathroom floor, where she had thrown up all night. About a week later,
she got sick one morning and went to the doctor. When he told her the news,
she immediately wanted to shoot herself. However, when she told Michiru, she
almost did get shot and Michiru was furious. Haruka tried to explain that
she had passed out, but Michiru wouldn’t hear it. She had ended up staying
with Minako, who swore not to reveal her problem to Usagi, incase it
stressed her out. Even though Usagi knew, she didn’t tell anyone. It WAS
Haruka’s secret and Usagi knew ALL about secrets.
When she thought of the consequences to her being committed to an
asylum, she knew what she had to do. She shook her head in an affirmative
motion and made up her mind. * If psycho-what-sey lets me stay with
Mamo-chan and help my friends...I’ll do it! * She nodded once more and
slowly got off the bed. She walked over to her dresser and rummaged through
her drawers. When she finally decided on an outfit, she walked into the
living room to find Mamoru asleep on the couch where he had been studying
for a physics test all night. She smiled warmly at him and picked the book
up off his lap and took his glasses off his face. He was already laying
down, so she covered him with a blanket. A few dark bangs fell over his eyes
and Usagi brushed them gently away. His eyes fluttered open and he focused
on Usagi.
Yawning, he spoke, “Good Morning Usako... I’m sorry I didn’t come to
bed last night, I accidentally fell asleep on the couch...” She saw the way
his eyes avoided hers, and she knew what he was thinking.
“It’s okay, Mamo-chan... Yes...” she said and he looked up at her
quizzically. “Yes I’m letting Ami-chan help...” she whispered and brushed
another bang from his eyes, running her cool fingers down his face to rest
on his cheek. He smiled brightly and put his hand over hers and turned his
face inward to kiss the palm of her hand.
“Thank you, Usako... Ami-san will be happy...” He said and smiled.
Usagi nodded slowly and leaned down to kiss his forehead. She pulled the
covers around him snugly and tucked him in with a smile on her face.
“Now you go to sleep Mamo-chan... you need some rest for your
physics test tomorrow... I’ll be back from Ami-chan’s later. I’ll call if I
need a ride or anything. Be a good boy!” She said and wagged a finger
playfully in his face.
“Your going to be a good Mama, Usako...” he said and yawned. “Do you
think I’ll be a good Daddy?” Usagi nodded.
“Of course Mamo-chan...anyway you better be! You had more practice
with Chibi-Usa than I did... I don’t think she liked me as much as you...”
Usagi said softly, trailing off. Mamoru un-tucked his arms and tilted her
chin towards him.
“Don’t say that Usako! I know for a fact Chibi-Usa loved you. She
told me so. Both of us were so proud of you when you were Sailor Moon-”
“Keyword being ‘were’, Mamo-chan. Are you still proud of me?” She
asked tearfully.
“Usako, You know I am! I always have been and I always will be...”
Usagi nodded and tried to smile convincingly for Mamoru.
“Well I better go talk to Ami-chan, Mamo-chan...” she said and stood
up slowly. “I’ll call you before I come home.” She walked to their room and
got her purse and grabbed her jacket and slipped on her shoes as she headed
to the door. “I love you Mamo-chan...” she said opening the door. He
murmured a sleepy ‘ah wuv ooh’ while yawning. She giggled and left for
Ami’s.

//Ami’s Apartment//

“So I take one a day, right before I go to bed?” Usagi asked and
looked at the prescription Ami had handed her.
“Yes, and I want to see you here once a week. Continue to take that
prescription unless I tell you otherwise. It will help balance out your mood
swings and is slightly like Prozac. If you take it as directed, but continue
to have bad mood swings, tell me and we’ll up the dose, okay?” Usagi nodded
her head and placed the bottle in her purse.
“Thanks, Ami...but I have got a question for you...” Usagi said
nervously.
“What is it, Usagi-chan?” Ami asked worriedly.
“Um, will this medicine react with badly with my system if I ...
well what I mean is... whatifIstarttakingbirthcontrol?” she blurted out
quickly.
“If you start taking birth control?” Ami asked, blushing. Usagi
nodded.
“I mean, we haven’t had... well he hasn’t said he ...we haven’t....
_you_know_...but if we do, I don’t want to get pregnant while I’m this bad
off...” Usagi said softly to Ami. Ami nodded in reply.
“It won’t react badly, Usagi-chan... but if we change your medicine,
it might, so if we ever change your dosage or prescription...use a condom.”
Ami advised. Usagi’s jaw dropped in shock.
“Ami you said-” Usagi giggled, but Ami interrupted.
“I know, I deal with this allot, Usagi... I volunteer at the women’s
clinic...” Ami said and Usagi nodded giggling. She was about to get up and
go when a loud rumble of thunder burst through the sky.
“Dammit! I swear sometimes Mako’s element picks the worst times!”
Usagi swore. She turned to Ami. “Can I call Mamo-chan?” Ami nodded. Usagi
walked into Ami’s kitchen and picked up the phone, dialing their number.
When the phone was answered, the voice on the other end surprised Usagi.
“Haruka-chan? Is that you? Are you okay?” Usagi asked.
“Yeah, USA... I hope you don’t mind, but Mamoru-chan said I could
bum out here for a day or two...”
“Of course, Haruka-chan, where is my dear Mamo-chan?”
“He left to get you as soon as the thunder started...”
“I swear he can read my mind sometimes!” Usagi said giggling. Haruka
laughed back. “Well, I better go, I’ll see you in a few...”
        “Bye, USA”
“Bye” Just as Usagi hung up, a knock came on the door. She walked
back in the living room to see Ami and Mamoru talking. “Mamo-chan, did you
read my mind?” Usagi asked and walked over to hug him.
“Yeah, you ready to go, Usako?” She nodded and they left saying
their good-byes to Ami.

//Central Tokyo-Coffee Shop//

Mamoru and Usagi had decided to wait the rain out in a nearby coffee
shop. They had a bite to eat and Mamoru mentioned it was the closest thing
to a date they had had in months. Usagi agreed, remembering how busy they
had been lately, with all Mamoru’s finals coming up.
“But I assure you, Mamo-chan, you’ll pass with flying colors,
because you are such a good med. student and you will definitely be a
terrific doctor really soon!” She said cheerfully. He leaned over their
table and grasped her hands.
“I can’t wait until we get married, Usako...” he said and sighed.
“I’ll buy you a big house and a car. We’ll have a little girl that looks
like you-”
“But with brown hair and your eyes and our son will be a miniature
of you. I can see it now, sort of like Dr. Evil and Mini-me...Dr. Mamo-chan
and Mini-Mamo-chan!” She said a giggled. He lifted her hand and kissed it
gently.
“Well, we couldn’t call the poor kid that! How about-”
“If you don’t mind, Mamo-chan, I already had something in mind...”
“What’s that Usako?” He asked and after his question there was a
moment of silence.
“Could we name him after daddy?” She asked a bit tearfully.
“Of course, honey...I think your dad would be honored...you know we
sound like we’re already married and you’re already pregnant!” Mamoru said
chuckling. Usagi’s tears disappeared and she giggled softly. “What brought
on this sudden happy streak, Usako?” He asked.
“I guess I just made up my mind to be happy for everyone...I realized that
they need me as much as I need them!” She said and smiled. “It stopped
raining, Mamo-chan. I bet Haruka-chan is getting worried about us! I don’t
want her getting out and looking for us in her condition!” Mamoru gasped.
“Usako? How did you find out?”
“What? Oh, that Haruka-chan is pregnant. It isn’t that hard to tell
Mamo-chan. I mean she stopped wearing tight clothes and tried to hide her
pregnancy by wearing baggy shirts. She has put on a little weight and she
sort of has this glow to her, which is very un-Tenoh-Haruka-like! I think,
although she and Michiru-chan don’t, this could probably be the best thing
that has happened to her. I think it will bring out the FEMININE side of her
and it may even bring her and Michiru-chan closer, although I don’t think
they could GET ANY closer!” She said giggling.
“I agree, Usako, come on... let’s go home...” He said paying for
their food and leaving.
