Now to the story!
Characters:
Serena Tsukino: 5 foot, blond hair, baby-blue eyes. A 21 year old. Taken from
the show, Sailor Moon. She is a super-hero who comes to find that it is her
destiny to be a great ruler of a future city. Her best friends are: Amy Craig,
Lita Troy, Mina Aino, and Raye Hill. Her best GUY friend is Andrew
Carmichael, who is engaged to Rita Smith. Serena has a distinctive hairstyle
which earns her the nickname ,from Darien, Meatball Head. This is because her to
pigtails are put in a bun on the top of her head then the rest hangs down, which
reminds him of meatballs. Her nickname is also Serry and Sere.
Darien Shields: 6 foot 5 inches, jet black hair and dark blue eyes. Darien is 24
and long time boy-friend of Serena....that is until their fatal breakup. On
Sailor Moon, he has nightmares that tell him to stay away from Serena or else
she will die. He believes these to be some sort of message and breaks up with
Serena although he loves her more than words can describe. His best friend is
Andrew and he is also friends with Amy, Lita, Mina, Raye, and Rita. Darien has a
secret past that no one knows except Andrew. His nickname is Dare, Dar, or Dare-
chan {Japanese} Darien is also a super-hero....along with Amy, Lita, Raye and
Mina...they are sort of a team.
Andrew Carmichael: Blond hair, 6 foot 2inches, green eyes. Andrew is Darien’s
age and they have been best friends since Darien was 16. He is engaged to his
long time love, Rita Smith. Their wedding is what brings Serena home.
Lita Troy: Brown Hair, Green eyes, 5 foot 11 inches. One of Serena's best
friends. Lita is an excellent chef. Another quirk about Lita is that all guys
remind her of her old boyfriend.
Mina Aino: 5 foot, blond hair, baby blue eyes.Serena's friend Mina is a all
around kind of girl. Mina and Serena both look very much alike, and if not for
their too distinctive hair styles (Mina’s is always half-up:half-down with a big
red bow in it.) Mina is also boy crazy.
Amy Craig: 5 foot 3 inches, blue hair and blue eyes. Amy is an aKa- Nerd. She
spends all her spare time studying and tries to get Serena to do so also. The
girls always end up MAKING Amy do FUN stuff, but she usually has fun in the end.
She wants to be a doctor after college. Nick name is sometimes Ames.
Raye Hill: 5 foot 8 inches, black hair and violet eyes. Raye is Serena's fiery
tempered friend. Raye is always fussing at Serena for her tardiness and
klutziness, but in the end Raye is a true friend to Serena.
Chapter 1
"Flight 354 from Sacramento, California, now landing at gate 26. Flight 354 at
Gate 26." a voice announced.
"That’s her flight!" Amy said.
Oh look! Here come the passengers!" Mina pointed.
"Yeah! Look and see if you see her!" Lita replied.
"Just look for two big ‘odangos’!" Raye said jokingly. {odangos is Japanese for
Meatballs}
Serena stepped through the gate. They were looking straight passed her.
* They don’t recognize me with this new haircut! This is going to be fun!*
Serena thought as she walked to baggage claim and then to where the girls were
still talking.
"Where do you think she could be?" Mina asked worriedly.
" Yeah, she has to be here! Those were all the passengers!" Amy replied.
" Don’t worry! Maybe we missed her go by!" Lita assured them.
"Or maybe she just missed the plane. You know Serena!" Raye said.
"...Maybe she didn’t!" a familiar voice said behind. They turned to see a tall,
skinny girl with a short blond bob that was very curly. {Like Meg Ryan’s in
City Of Angel’s.}
"Serena? Is that you?" Amy asked.
"In the flesh!" she replied and they all hugged.
"Oh Serena! I’m so glad you’re home!" Raye cried, which slightly surprised
Serena.
"Me too!" Mina said.
"So Sere? How does it feel to be back in Tokyo?" Lita asked, but before Serena
could answer Mina interrupted by saying
"I’ve got a great idea!"
"What?" Serena asked skeptically.
"Let’s do clubbing!"
"Great idea Mina! I know the perfect place!" Raye chirped in.
"That’s super! What do you say Serena?" Amy asked.
"Well I guess so!" Serena replied.
"Oh Goodie! But first we all need to get new outfits!" Mina chimed.
Everyone laughed. Mina was always buying new outfits.
"Well okay, but first I need to check into my hotel." Serena said.
"Nonsense Serena! You’re staying with me!" Mina cried.
Serena sighed and agreed, because she knew it was no use in fighting with Mina.
They all got into Lita’s car and headed to the mall.

"Oh Serena! This one is perfect!" Mina cried, snatching a dress off the hanger
and handing it to Serena. It was light blue satin with spaghetti straps.
"Try it on!"
"Ok if you say so Mina! You’re the fashion expert!" Serena laughed and went to
try it on.
The other girls walked over.
"Where’s Serena?" Amy asked.
"Oh...trying on this gorgeous dress! I think she’ll like it! What did you guys
get?" Mina replied.
"Well, I got this..." Raye said as she pulled out a white halter top and maroon
hip huggers.
"...and I got this!" Lita remarked pulling out a white tank-top and dark, green
mini skirt. " I’m going to wear my leather jacket over it!"
" I got this!" Amy said and pulled out a pair a blue jeans with a floral pattern
up the side and a blue blouse with pearly buttons. "What did you get Mina?" she
asked.
"This...." she said pulling out a yellow blouse and black mini skirt.
Finally Serena came out of the dressing room.
"Wow!" Amy said.
"Sere that looks Fab!" Lita exclaimed.
"Yeah! I wish I had your body, I could never wear something like that!" Raye
joined in.
"Now, Serry dear! Didn’t I tell you it was perfect?!?" she said with a slight
‘British’ accent.
"Yes....I do like it...but"
" ’But’ what? " Raye asked.
"....well...." Serena continued. " .....I can’t wear a bra with it!"
The girls all laughed.
"Oh Serena come on! You’re 21! Live a little!" Mina cried.
"Oh alright! Let me go change and then pay for it and we’ll go!"

At about 7:30, Serena and Mina were about ready to go.
"Hey Serena? How do you get your hair to look so cute?" Mina asked.
"Not much....just blow dry it I guess! It curls naturally!" Serena replied and
put on some lipstick.
"Well I know how much Darien hurt you....but if he could see you know....he’d be
kissing the ground you walk on!"
They both laughed, but then Mina got a serious look on her face.
"Is that why you left?"
Serena nodded.
" Well, Sere, I just want you to know that ever since you left, Darien has
changed....a lot!"
"How?" Serena asked quietly.
"Well for starter...he quit being Tuxedo Mask!" {Tuxedo Mask is Darien’s
superhero identity}
Serena gasped.
"It’s true. He’s become really morbid, according to Andrew, and he’s almost
completely stopped going out anymore. All he does is sit around his apartment
and mope. He doesn’t date, and when we do see him or Andrew forces him to go
out, he always looks sickly and pale. The first few weeks after you left, he
would ask us for your address and phone number, but we never gave it to him.
Then one day he stopped. A few times he’d ask us how you were or something.
Serena, He even tried to overdose on medication and kill himself. The only way
we convinced him to keep living was to say you’d really hate him if you had to
go to his funeral. Sere, I know he hurt you, but he must have thought that if he
stuck around you’d get hurt. Maybe he felt he wasn’t’t protecting you
enough....but whatever the reason, all I’m saying is that you should at least
let him explain. He owes you that much and deserves to at least be listened
to.....even if you don’t forgive him....just listen....for me, Raye, Amy, Lita
and Andrew....but most of all for you and Darien." Mina finished.
"Oh Mina! I never knew! Of course I’ll forgive him, if he’d just ask!" Serena
replied.
"Well....let’s give him a chance!" Mina cried as she ran full speed to the
kitchen. {Did I mention that Mina likes to play Matchmaker? : ) }
When Serena finally got to the kitchen after putting on her shoes and earrings,
she heard Mina say
"Thanks Andrew! Bye!"
"Mina! You didn’t!"
"You better believe I did! Now you’ll just happen to run into Darien when we go
club hopping!" Mina said proudly and smiled.
"Oh Mina thank-you!" Serena said and hugged her best friend.
"Your welcome Serena, but we better go or we’ll be late!"

"No Darien! I’m not letting you sit around this apartment like a zombie! You got
to move on! Any way, I have a feeling once we get to the club you’ll cheer up!
Trust me! And if you don’t leave this apartment I’m dragging you out!"
"Alright if you just Shut-up!’ Darien growled angrily a**~*~
"Hey Girls!’ Mina yelled and waved as the got to the club entrance.
"Finally!’ Raye remarked.
In side, Aqua’s song, Barbie Girl could be heard playing.
"Well come on, Barbie! Let’s go party!" Lita cried and they all went inside.
Serena instantly cheered up and was the envy of every girl there. All the guys
stared at her and drooled over the sexy, single girl in the middle of the dance
floor with her friends.

After dancing for a while, Serena got an idea. "Hey, I’ll be right back! I’m
going to get them to play a song!" Serena yelled over the crowd to the other
girls.
About two minutes after Serena left, the ‘Macerena’ came on.{ Yeah I know this
song is old, but it’s the only dance song I could think of that had a special
dance!}
Serena ran back to her friends, who had never heard of the song (much less the
dance), and said
"Just do what I do!" and she started dancing. The girls quickly caught on and
soon the whole crowd wanted to join in. They pushed the five girls on stage so
everyone could see them. Soon the whole club was dancing with Serena and her
friends.
Meanwhile, Andrew, Darien and Rita had arrived. They listened to the new song
and noticed four familiar and a fifth slightly familiar face on the stage. As
they walked to get a closer look, Darien nearly fainted when he saw that the
short haired ‘lady’ was Serena. Still dancing on stage, Mina noticed Andrew and
nudged Serena, who nearly fainted also, but instead she just waved to Darien and
the happy couple.
* Wow! Darien looks great....and he’s staring at me?! Calm down Serena....stay
calm and don’t trip! * she thought.
Meanwhile a certain someone was thinking nearly the same. * Wow! Serena has
never looked better! And to think I gave her up. Well as soon as she comes off
that stage I’m apologizing! I hope she forgives me! *
"Andrew?" he asked.
"Yeah?"
"You planned all this didn’t you?"
"Well.....Mina helped! Dare, Serena is willing to listen to you...." Andrew told
his friend.
"Thanks Andy!" Darien replied and glanced back at Serena * Gah she looks good!*
After the song ended, everyone clapped as the girls walked off stage, and the
bartender gave them each a free drink. They walked over to Andrew.
"Wow! Serena you look great! I love your hair!" Andrew yelled over the music.
"You too!" Serena said and hugged Andrew, which kind of made Darien jealous even
though he knew they were just friends. "How are you all?" She asked and smiled.
"We’re great Serena! I am so glad you could come to our wedding! How’s America
and college?" Rita asked.
"Oh, pretty good! I’m almost finished with college now, but I think I miss Tokyo
too much....sooooo....I’m moving back next term!"
"Really?!?!?!?" Andrew and the girls cried in unison.
"Really!" Serena smiled happily, but then noticed Darien was gone. "Hey guys!
I’ll be right back!" she said and walked off. As she ran through the crowd, she
felt an arm latch on to hers. *Darien* she thought as she turned around, only to
face a complete stranger.
"Excuse me miss...Would you like to dance?" Obviously, the guy was drunk, so
Serena quickly excused herself.
"Umm...no thank-you....I’m in a hurry...excuse me...." she said and tried to
walk off, only to be jerked back. " I said no! Let me go!" she yelled.
"I don’t think you understand, honey, you’re coming with me!" he said and
roughly pulled her with him. She screamed and struggled, but was no match for
the much stronger man, who had pulled her into a dark alley.
"Helllllmmmmmppphhhhhhhh" Serena yelled only to be muffled by the man’s large
hand. She bit him, which led him to slap her.
"Stupid B***H! I suggest you stop struggling and shut-up, if you know what’s
good for you!" he yelled angrily and slammed her into the alley wall and started
forcing himself on her. Serena started crying and screaming some more. *Oh
Darien! If only you were here!* her mind thought. She cried more, which made
the man to slap her even harder causing her cheek to bust. She began bleeding
and slowly started blacking out. As she fell in and out of consciousness, all
she could think about was Darien. Just then a man stepped out of the shadows and
said
"Excuse me sir, but I believe the lady said NO!" and he punched the guy square
in the jaw.
As the man fell down Darien looked at the lady in front of him.
"Are you okay miss?" He said as she looked up, then he noticed who it was.
"Omigad! Serry? Are you all right? If he did anything to you ....I swear I’ll
hurt him so bad!"
Serena just fell into his arms and cried. Blood and tears stained his shirt, but
he didn’t mind, he was just glad to have the one person he truly loved back in
his arms.
"Serena...I think we need to take care of that cut and then we can talk..."
Serena didn’t answer, she just cried even harder. Darien walked back inside and
told Andrew he was taking Serena home.
After they left Andrew Remarked
"Looks like everything is back to normal....but was Serena crying?"
"Yeah and was that blood on his shirt?" Mina added.
"Oh man! Something’s wrong! I’m calling him!" Andrew said, madly punching
numbers into his cell phone.
"Pick-up.....come om pick-up....Darien? It’s Andrew!"
"Yeh...You’re wondering what happened right? Well call my place in twenty
minutes and I’ll explain everything I know."
"Okay, man, 20 minutes, but if you aren’t there I am coming over!" Andrew said
worridly into the cell phone. "Bye!"
"Bye Andrew!’ Darien said and Andrew clicked off his cell phone.

Darien carried Serena up the stairs to his apartment and laid her on the bed in
the dark.
"Oh Serry, if that SOB raped you .....I’m gonna hurt him so bad!" he sais
andkissed her on the forhead. He took out his first-aid kit and bandages her
face. " Oh Serry, your too beautiful to be hurt like this! I have missed you so
much! I love you more than you’ll ever know....just be all right!" He said to
the sleeping girl as the phone rang.
"Darien! It’s Andrew! What happened back there?"
"Well after you and Serena started talking, I felt left out so I walked outside
and sat on the curb. I was about to leave when I heard screams comin from the
alley behind me. I ran towards the moise and saw a guy trying to rape somebody.
I knocked knocled him out, only to find that he was tryin to rape Serena. He had
hit her pretty hard and she was bleeding. After we got in the car, she fainted
and hasn’t woken up since. If that jerk raped her I’m going to kill him!" Darien
growled angrily.
"Darien...Calm down...you don’t want Serena waking up to a raving maniac! I’ll
be right over!"
"No, Andrew, Wait! I have got to apologize to her first....don’t come over
yet..."
"Alright...I won’t come over....but if Serena wants to go back to Mina’s you
call me....Otherwise...Good Luck, Darien!"
"Thanks, Andrew...Wait I gotta go! I think she’s waking up! Bye"
"Bye!" Darien hung up the phone and then walked over to the bed. "Serena, are
you awake?" Darien asked and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Darien!" she screamed and shot into his arms. "I love you...I love you....Don’t
leave me ever...please..I love you too much to lose you again!" she cried and
trembled in his arms.
"Shhhh...I’m here...I won’t leave you...I love you too!.....Shhhh" he said
soothingly and kissed the top of her head. Serena stopped crying and looked up
into his sapphire colored eyes.
"Why did you dump me three years ago?"
He told her about his nightmares and said
"I just never wanted you to get hurt because of me. I love you. Without you I am
nothing. Where you once filled me with love and happiness is now filled with
sheer and utter lonlieness. Without you in my life there was nothing to live for
every day.......nothing to strive for every morning. There was a huge part of me
missing when you left.......Serena, I never told anybody this, save for Andrew,
but when I was about four, my parents died in a horrible car accident. I can
barely remember anything about them. I lived in an orphanage, without anybody to
love me, for twelve years, and then when I turned sixteen, I was given a small
amount of money and sent to live on my own.That year was the hardest year of my
life. The first two weeks I lived on the streets, then I found a job at the
arcade, where I met Andrew. He helped me out with the apartment until I could
pay for it on my own, which got easier when I turned seventeen, because the bank
told me I had a trust fund left to me by my parents, which helped put me
throught the rest of highschool and college, and helped me pay Andrew back.
Until I met you, I had no friends, no family, no body to love me.....but when
you came into my life, I felt an emotion I hadn’t felt in a long time.....I felt
love..... and after that I realized that all those years, the part of me that
had been missing was suddenly there.....Serena, you make me whole....you
complete me..." he barely choked out the last few words becaude he was nearly in
tears. He had only told one other person that story and it really hurt to tell,
but somehow getting it out made him feel better.
"Serena...will you forgive me?" Darien asked quietly.
"Of course Darien! I’ll forgive you of anything! I love you so much!" she said
and kissed Darien. He was a little shocked at first, but then he kissed her back
like he had wanted to for the last three years.
"Wait...Serena...did that jerk rape you?!?"
"No Darien...you saved me...You are and always have been my protector, my super-
hero....I love you!" is what she said but *Baka! Don’t Lie!* is what her mind
screamed. {Baka means Idiot in Japanese...What do you think she’s lieing
about?!}
"Serena...I love you so much....I can’t think of living another day without you
in my arms....Without you by my side forever would be sheer torture and I
coudn’t bare to be that lonely again....I know I don’t have a ring or anything,
but will you do me the honour of being my wife?"
"Yes.....Yes....a thousand times YES!" she screamed happily and kissed Darien,
who kissed her back. At that moment the both realized how much they had missed
each other. He held her in his arms and thought how she fit perfectly into his
arms like a puzzle piece. He felt his way up and down her back, memorizing every
curve on her body. He didn’t notice her flinch once or twice.
Her hands fell to the nape of his neck and she twirled his hair in her fingers.
He slowly fiddled with her dress zipper.
She pulled away. "Darien, I’m not ready for that yet..."
"Ok," he said ,embracing her again, " but you could at least take that dress off
and put on a tee shirt of mine.." he finished, kissed her neck and started to
unzip her again.
She flinched in pain as he hugged her and said
"Dariens I know this is silly, but I don’t have bra on under this and I’m kinda
embarrassed." *LIAR!* her mind screamed at her. Darien laughed.
"Alright...here’s the shirt" he sid and threw her a tee shirt.
"Close your eyes!" she said and she slipped the dress off and pulled the tee
shirt on.
"Okay...I’m decent..." she said. The shirt came up to about mid-thgh and Darien
thought she looked very sexy in it.
"Serena.....do you want me to sleep on the couch?" he said to Serena as she got
under the covers, while he sat on the end of the bed.
"I don’t care, but I did hear it gets pretty cold this time of year!" she
replied. They both laughe and Darien laid down beside her.
"Darien if your going to bed, you need to change too!"
"Alright..." he said and grabbed an under shirt and some boxer-shorts out of his
drawer. He pulled off his pant and pulled on the boxers. Then as he pulled off
his shirt he yelled in a feminine voice "Don’t look Serena...I don’t have on a
bra!" They both laughed. He put on the under shirt."Ya know, Dare, you don’t
have to wear a shirt to bed...I won’t mind!" she said, but * Of course you
won’t mind! Darien’s a babe!* is what she thought. He laughed at Serena and
pulled off the shirt, and jumped under the covers next to Serena, who sighed and
snuggled deep into his embrace and laid her head on his warm, not to mention
good-looking, chest. Darien ran his fingers through her now short hair and
Serena could tell he was having a little trouble getting used to it.
"Dare, do you not like my hair?" she asked and looked up at him.
"No...I love it...it’s very cute and stylish. You’ve never looked so good." he
smiled and kissed her forehead. "Now go to sleep...Meatball Head" he said and
laughed at her now useless nickname.
She smiled and yawned and DID fall asleep, with two big, strong, protective
arms wrapped around her.
