What is the South-Eastern Ohio Anime Society?
We are a group dedicated to the viewing, discussion, and enjoyment of Japanimation. The society was created when two of our members relized that there were no places in South-Eastern Ohio for those who enjoys watching anime to gather. We are hoping that by advertising on the internet that we might be able to meet more people than we normally would.

Where and when does the society meet?
Currently we are undergoing a search in the attempt to find a good place to meet somewhere near Zanesville, Ohio. We chose Zanesville due to the fact it is the most central city in South-Eastern Ohio. If you have suggestions for meeting places feel free to email us.

What is Japanimation/Anime?
"Anime" is the Japanese take on the English word "animation". However, unlike animation in America, animation or "anime" in Japan is not just for kids and the subject matter can range from deep, action packed science fiction stories to slapstick humor to even soap-operaish romance. In short, the only real difference between anime and other television shows and movies is that they are animated. While it's true that there have been several American animated shows that are different than just your run of the mill "Saturday morning" variety that are aimed at a broader audience in recent years, the Japanese have actually been doing this for quite some time.

**It is very important to note that not all Anime is for kids. Many shows do contain nudity, adult language, adult situations, and extreame violence just the same as American Blockbuster movies. Parental Guidence is always suggested when viewing Japanimation**
