Serena sat contemplating what the girl said. What if Darien really only did
want to break her heart? Looking at the type of girl his ex was, compared to
herself, Serena was nothing but a silly school girl. She sighed.

'I need to talk to Molly about this.' Serena decided. She got up and went to
where Darien was delivering some food and drinks. She placed her small hand
on his back and Darien turned at her touch.

"I have to go now." She told him and took off his jacket. "Here you go. I
forgot to return this last night."

"Keep it. It looks better on you." Darien smiled at her.

"I couldn't." Serena held the jacket out to him, but Darien made no move to
take it.

"I'll get it from you later, all right?" He told her finally. "I don't want
you to get cold on your way home. Do you need a lift?"

Serena shook her head and put the jacket back on. Darien leaned forward and
kissed her cheek.

"Bye Sere. Be careful."

"Bye Darien." Serena turned and left the cafe. She was headed towards the
boarding school when she heard thunder rumbling across the sky. She jumped
and picked up the pace. Serena was running towards the boarding school, but
she couldn't even see it. She was grateful for Darien's jacket, which she
was now hugging around herself to keep warm.

Out of no where, Serena heard a motorcycle headed towards her. She glanced
behind her and saw Darien riding up. He stopped next to her and handed her
her helmet without a word. She quickly put it on and got on behind him
without a word passed between the two.

Darien drove her to her boarding school as quickly as he could, considering
the weather. They were both soaked by the time he reached the front doors,
but Serena was a lot calmer then she would have been. The thunder and
lightening didn't frighten her as much when Darien was around.

"Thank you." She told him as she hopped off his motorcycle. He took off his
helmet and she took off hers. "Do you want to come in and dry off?" She
asked. Darien shook his head, wet hair plastered to his forehead.

"No, I have to get back to work." He told her.

"Oh." Serena replied. The continued to stand there, staring into each others
eyes. The storm raged on unnoticed about them. Their eyes were locked and
nothing could have torn them apart. Darien reached out and grabbed Serena,
pulling her against him roughly. His mouth sought hers and he kissed her
passionately, sliding his tongue inside her mouth. Serena threw her arms
around him, the forgotten helmet falling to the ground, and kissed him back
with the same intensity.

Finally they broke apart, both gasping for breath. Darien revved up the
engine of his motorcycle, and leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers
once more before driving off. Serena watched until she couldn't see his
dark figure anymore. Slowly she reached down to pick up the helmet and went
inside.

Serena felt like a drowned rat. Her hair was tangled beyond belief and
sticking to her face, neck and arms. She went up the stairs to her dorm
room and took off the drenched clothes. She hung Darien's jacket on the
back of her chair. She slipped on a bath robe and headed to the showers
with her wet dress and a clean towel in hand.

Serena carefully hung her dress up in one of the shower stalls before turning
on the water in the other. She was frozen from the rain, but her lips were
burning from the kiss.

Once Serena felt warm again, she stepped out of the shower and quickly
toweled herself off. She slipped on the warm bath robe again and headed to
her room.

Pulling on a pink jogging suit, Serena thought about what she was going to
tell Molly.

'Everything. If I want her honest advice, she needs to know everything.'
Serena decided. She quickly ran a brush through her hair and ran downstairs
to the library where she knew Molly would be.

"Can I talk to you?" Serena asked sinking into the chair next to Molly.
Serena hugged her legs to her chest and rested her head on her knees.

"Sure thing Sere. What's up?" Molly asked, bookmarking the book she had been
reading.

"Its about Darien." Serena took a deep breath. "Everything has been going
great between. We get along really well and he's so sweet and romantic...
The thing is, that today, a girl approached me and told me that Darien is
only using me. She said that Darien used her and broke her heart. She
wanted to warn me so I didn't suffer too. When Darien saw her, he told her
off and she left in a hurry, but I'm not so sure. He said she was lying
and that she was just a jealous ex, but..."

"You think there might have been truth to her words." Molly finished.

"Yeah, or maybe they saw things differently. I don't know..." Serena
shrugged. "Then, after I left, it started raining, Darien left work to
drive me home on his motorcycle. When we got here, he... He kissed me."

"What kind of kiss?" Molly asked.

"The most wonderful kiss I ever experienced." Serena sighed as she remembered
the way his lips had burned against hers.

"Serena, it sounds like you are in love with him." Molly said quietly.

"Oh I am! I am! Molly what do I do?" Serena looked at her friend with tears
in her eyes. "I don't want to get hurt, but I don't want to lose him either.
What if that girl really is just a jealous ex? What if she was really just
warning me?"

"Serena, you know Darien better than I do. What do you think is true?" Molly
asked, pushing her reading glasses higher up on the bridge of her nose.

"I...I'm not sure, Molly." Serena lay her head on her knees again, still
looking at Molly.

"Then follow your heart, Serena. Let it guide you."
