Serena sighed as she fell into bed that night. They had barely made it back to the school
in time for her curfew, but she didn't care. She was in love. As her eyes drifted closed,
Serena felt someone leaning over her bed.

"Serena." A voice said.

"Wha..?" Serena slowly opened her eyes.

"Well? What happened?" Katherine asked. Serena sat up to see Katherine, Molly and
Shannon sitting on the edge of her bed. Serena sighed dreamily as she thought of Darien.

"Oh he's so romantic! I waited for his shift to end, then he took me to the beach, on his
motorcycle!" Serena exclaimed.

"Oh..." The three sighed dreamily.

"And then what?"

"Did you kiss him?"

"Is this his jacket?" Molly asked, holding up his leather jacket.

"Yes... We were playing in the water, and when we were leaving, I was cold. He let me
wear his jacket and I must have forgotten to give it back." Serena replied, taking the
jacket from Molly. She snuggled down against his jacket.

"Well Serena, we were right! You two are perfect together." Katherine gushed.

"I'm always right about these things." Shannon giggled.

"When are you seeing him again?" Molly asked.

"Tomorrow." Serena smiled. "He's going to pick me up tomorrow morning."

"The you had better get some sleep." Katherine said. "Night Sere."

"Night you guys, and thanks." Serena smiled as her friends tiptoed out of her room.

The next morning, Serena woke up and noticed that she was sleeping with Darien's jacket.
The memories of the previous night flooded back to her and Serena smiled. She looked at her
clock and saw that it was nine twenty. She had forty minutes to get ready for her date with
Darien. Serena giggled and leapt out of bed. She raced to the bathroom and quickly
showered. When she got back to her room, she looked through her clothes, trying to figure
out what to wear. Serena decided on a pair of white knee high boots and a white slip
dress. Serena pulled her hair back with two pearl clips and dusted some pale blue eye
shadow on her eye lids. She glanced at her watch and saw that Darien was due any minute.
She grabbed Darien's leather jacket and slipped it on. She raced down the stairs and paused
at the landing and looked out the window. She saw Darien leaning against his bike and she
sighed dreamily.

"Serena?" Katherine asked.

"Hmm?" Serena asked turning around to face her friend.

"What are you looking... Oh.." Katherine saw Darien. "Well what are you waiting for?"

"Bye Kat!" Serena ran down the stairs and out the door. "Darien!" She called.

"Serena." Darien stood up from his bike and caught Serena as she launched herself into his
arms.

"Oh Darien." Serena buried her face in his chest. "I missed you."

Darien hugged her tightly.

"What do you want to do, Sere?" He asked.

"I don't care, as long as I'm with you." She smiled up at him. Darien gently stroked her
face and smiled.

"All right." He plunked a helmet on her head and buckling it underneath. He put one on his
own head and helped her onto the back of the bike. "I don't know how you ride this thing
with skirts on." He teased her. Serena laughed and wrapped her arms around him once he
had climbed on.

"Were are we going?" She asked.

"Its a surprise!" Darien called over his shoulder as the engine roared to life. Serena
tightened her grip and Darien drove off. A few minutes later he parked in front of a small
restaurant.

"Wait here, I'll be right back." He told her. Serena nodded and swung her legs around so
they were on the same side. She took her helmet off and set it on the seat next to her.
Darien went inside and Serena glanced around. She noticed a group of guys watching her.
She began to feel incomfortable at the way the were staring at her and she wished Darien
would hurry up and come back. When they guys started towards her, Serena, she almost ran
inside after Darien. She breathed a sigh of relief as she saw Darien coming back out.
He saw the guys as they were heading towards his Serena. She sat perched on the bike like
an angel, but he could tell she was worried. He was holding a bag in one hand and the
other was clenched tightly in a fist.

"It's all right Sere." Darien whispered in her ear as he put the bag into the side
compartment of the bike. Serena wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly. Darien
noticed that the group had backed off. Still, he sent them an icy glare.

"Let's go, Darien." Serena said and swung her leg back over. Darien climbed on the bike
in front of her and the two drove off. Serena held on tightly, still a little shaken at
the way the guys had been looking at her.

"We're here." Darien told her. Serena looked up and saw that they were parked by a small
lake in a park. Serena smiled.

"It's beautiful!" She exclaimed and climbed off the bike. She took her helmet off and
hooked it on the bike. Darien did the same and watched as Serena began to explore the
area. There were a series of rose bushes that seemed to captivate her. Darien made
his way towards her to see what she found so fascinating.

"The roses remind me of you." Serena told him as she gazed at the beautiful red flowers.
Darien wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"How so?" He asked her, speaking into her ear.

"Red roses mean true love." She replied simply. Darien gently kissed her cheek before his
lips travelled down her neck. Serena sighed and leaned against him.

"Oh I love you, Darien." She whispered. Darien slowly released her and took her hand in
his.

"Come on. It's almost time for lunch and then I have to go to work." He sighed at the
thought of being away from her. Darien led Serena back to the bike where he pulled out
the bag he had put in it earlier. They sat on the grass and Darien pulled out two
chicken salad sandwiches.

"Lunch is served." He told her. Serena giggled and leaned against him, eating the sandwich.

"This is so good!" She exclaimed.

"My friend owns the restaurant. She's an amazing chef." Darien told her. They finished
their lunches in a comfortable silence before Darien slowly got up.

"I have to get to work." He told her regretfully.

"I'll come. I'm signed out for the day." Serena told him. Darien smiled.

"All right." They made their way back to the motorcycle and put their helmets on. Serena
climbed onto the bike and Darien got on in front of her. Within a few minutes they were
back at the small cafe where they first met.

"I think this has become my favourite cafe." Serena commented as they made their way in the
back entrance of the coffee shop. Darien set their helmets into his locker and led her into
the main part of the cafe.

"May I take your order?" He asked her.

"Yes, one Darien to go please." She smiled and Darien chuckled. "A chocolate shake then?"

"Sure thing." Darien smiled at her and went to get her her shake. Serena watched the door
waiting for him to come back. A few minutes later he stepped out and set the milkshake in
front of her.

"Here you go."

"Thanks Darien." Serena smiled and Darien went to work waiting on the other tables.

A few minutes later a tall raven haired girl slid into the seat across the table from
Serena.

"We need to talk." She said.

"Do I know you?" Serena asked, genuinely confused.

"No, but that doesn't matter. Look, I know your dating Darien and that's swell, except he's
only in it to break your heart. I know. I've been there. You are so young and innocent...
I don't want to see another girl get hurt knowing I can prevent the heartache. Darien
used and abused me. I want you to be careful." The girl told Serena.

"What do you mean?" Serena was even more puzzled.

"Trust me. He doesn't love you, no matter what he says." The girl looked really upset.

"What are you doing Raye?" Darien asked as he approached Serena's table. "Leave her
alone Raye. It's over between us. It has been for a long time now."

Raye smiled sweetly up at Darien.

"Going for the innocent school girl? She's not your style." Raye stood up and brushed her
body up against Darien, letting him feel all of her curves. Darien looked at her in
disgust as she left the cafe.

"Serena, don't believe her. She's just a jealous ex. You don't believe her, do you?"

Serena looked up into Darien's earnest eyes and smiled.

"Of course I don't." She told him, smiling. Darien sighed in relief and went back to work,
not noticing the doubt in Serena's eyes.
