"Although we still do not know what caused the magnificent building, we were able
to get an interview with one of the Sailor Senshi. They seem to be connected with the
incident and are trying to recapture control of the situation. All the senshi but Sailor
Moon herself have been accounted for. The palace seems to be made of pure crystal and
stands in the heart of Tokyo. Some people seem to have dubbed the castle the Crystal
Palace."

"Is she better yet?" Makoto asked.
"She's still a little faint. Even with all our energy backing her, the exertion
took a lot from her." Ami replied.
"She needs to make an appearance soon to explain what happened and to calm the
people." Michiru told them
"Nothing we are doing is helping. They need to see the leader." Haruka added.
"I need to see my family first, and Naru-chan. I need to tell them... Tell them
everything. They deserve to know before anyone else. All of our families and friends do."
Serenity spoke softly.
"They never were your real family." Rei told her carefully.
"I know, but they raised me in this lifetime. That deserves some respect."
Serenity replied.
"You can't leave the palace. It's not safe yet." Endymion told her.
"We could bring everyone here. We could have them all meet in the throne room and
explain it all at once." Minako suggested.
"That's a good idea." Makoto agreed. "We can each go collect our family, or
friends, and meet back here."
"Some of us have no one at all to go get." Michiru said softly over her shoulder.
"You and Haruka-san can go get my family, Naru-chan and Motoki-san." Serenity
told them. "You should go now because we need to calm the people of Crystal Tokyo. I
can feel their pain."
"Will you be alright here?" Ami asked.
"Yes. Endymion will help me prepare. You should go as the Royal Senshi and
don't reveal to your families who you are yet." Serenity ordered. The others nodded
and left the room quickly. They could tell their Queen wanted the get this over with
quickly.
"Endy? How will they take it?" Serenity asked.
"Your family? I don't know, honestly." He replied. "Hopefully they will
understand."
"Yes. I hope they can forgive me."
"What is there to forgive? You have followed your destiny. You had no choice.
You tried to fight it, but you couldn't." Endymion insisted.
"Perhaps." She mused. "I should get changed into one of my more formal gowns."
"I like this part." Endymion said, grinning. "I'll help you."
"Endy!" She cried, giggling, getting out of her bed.
Endymion put his arm around her supportively and helped her towards her closet.
She opened the doors and looked in.
"Hmm... So many formal gowns. Which one should I wear?" She asked.
"The traditional Queen of the Universe one." Endymion suggested, pulling it off
the rod. He held it up and she nodded.
Serenity quickly changed into the long white gown and out on white shoes. After
she brushed her hair out and put it back in her traditional style, Endymion set her crown
on her head.
"I guess I'm ready, and we should go to the Throne Room." Serenity said as she
adjusted the wings on the back of her dress.
"Yes." Endymion told her, catching her hand in his. They walked to the throne
room, hand in hand.
Just as Serenity had taken her seat, the main door opened and Sailorjupiter
entered with her childhood friend, Ken. Serenity nodded and gestured for Sailorjupiter
to come stand with her.
"You can wait here for everyone else." Sailorjupiter said quietly, before
standing next to her Queen's throne.
"Can I ask why I'm here?" Ken asked.
"Of course! Ask anything you like." Serenity replied.
"What the hell is going on?"
"Do not use that language in the presence of the Queen!" Sailorjupiter stormed.
"I'm sorry." Ken said meekly before quietly standing there.
Again the doors opened and this time Sailorneptune and Sailoruranus walked in
with the Tsukino family, Naru-chan and Motoki-san. Serenity smiled gently and the two
senshi left the civilians to stand near the window.
"Sailormars is coming with Yuuichirou and her grandfather. Sailormercury is
right behind her." Sailorneptune informed her Queen.
"Thank you."
"The mirror tells me that Sailorvenus and her family are coming down the
corridor." Just as Sailorneptune finished her sentence, the doors opened revealing
Sailorvenus and her family.
"Greetings." Sailorvenus said.
The whole room was silent as they waited for the rest of the senshi. Once
everyone was assembled, Serenity spoke.
"Everyone must be wondering what is going on and why you were called here.
Well, you are here so I can explain everything to you. Each of us," Serenity gestured
to the other senshi and Endymion. "Are part of the reason why this palace exists. We
created it."
"You just conjured it up?" Kenji asked skeptically.
"Using massive amounts of power and life energy, yes." Sailormercury replied.
"Why are we so special to learn what is going on?" Motoki asked.
"Because each of us is either related to or friends with you." Serenity said
quietly, before turning to the Tsukino's. "Hello Mother, Father, Shingo-chan."
"Usagi-chan?" Ikuko asked. Serenity nodded.
"Yes. Let me introduce to you my senshi, guards and friends. Sailormercury,
the senshi of water and ice, Mizuno Ami. Sailormars, the senshi of fire, Hino Rei.
Sailorjupiter, the senshi of thunder, Kino Makoto. Sailorvenus, or Sailor V, the senshi
of love, Aino Minako. Sailorpluto, the senshi of time, Mei'ou Setsuna. Sailorneptune,
the senshi of the sea, Kai'ou Michiru. Sailoruranus, the senshi of wind, Ten'ou Haruka.
Sailorsaturn, the senshi of silence, Tomoe Hotaru. Prince consort Endymion, Chiba Mamoru.
And I am Neo-Queen Serenity, Sailormoon or Tsukino Usagi."
The silence that followed scared Serenity, so she slowly sank into her throne.
Endymion clasped her hand tightly.
"Are you ok? I know how weak you still are..." Endymion whispered in her ear.
"I'm fine, love." Serenity replied.
"Neo-Queen Serenity now rules this planet as her mother ruled the Moon. She
will re-build life on the other planets and form another alliance between them."
Sailoruranus said.
"Are you trying to tell me that all of a sudden my daughter is powerful enough
to rule the world?" Kenji asked.
"It's not all of a sudden." Sailorsaturn spoke quietly, leaning on her glaive.
Kenji took one look at her and shut his mouth.
"Why? Why our daughter?" Ikuko asked.
"In the Silver Millennium, one thousand years ago, Neo-Queen Serenity was the
Princess of the Moon and she was to follow in her mother's footsteps. Queen Beryl
destroyed that by destroying all the planets, but Earth. It was to be her next conquest
after the Moon. Queen Serenity stopped that by trapping Beryl, and the souls of all
those that were killed including all of us, except Sailorpluto, in the ginzuishou. The
ginzuishou, which Neo-Queen Serenity now wields, holds power beyond your imaginations.
When our souls were reborn in this time, everyone but Neo-Queen Serenity became the senshi
they once were. The Queen became Sailormoon and our leader." Sailorneptune spoke.
"So she was always this mystical powerful legendary Queen?" Shingo asked.
"More or less, yes." Sailormercury said.
"What is Prince consort Endymion's role in all this?" Motoki asked.
"We were destined to be married then, but he died for me before the engagement
could even be announced." Serenity said, sadly. "We died together."
"That's so romantic!" Minako's mother sighed.
Sailorvenus put her hand to her forehead and shook her head.
"Each of my protectors have lived a full year without any supernatural
interference and they have decided to fully pledge themselves to me. They have
completed the circle and agreed and so Crystal Tokyo came to be. Nothing you can
say now will affect anything, but we felt you should know before the rest of the world
does. After all, you are our families." Serenity smiled.
"Except that that isn't really my daughter and this is nothing more than a very
weird dream." Ami's mother said.
"Why can't you ever accept anything? Why couldn't this be reality, mother?"
Sailormercury asked. "It is! I assure you that, because it had been my reality for
the past four years!"
"Yes, I'll bet it was." Ami's mother said as she went to the window. "I could
jump here and probably wake up as soon as my feet left the window sill."
"No, you would fall into the sea." Sailormars told her.
"Rei-san! So this is what you've been doing at night, every night, when you used
to sneak out?" Yuuichirou asked.
"Uhh... Yes. I used to go and save the world." Sailormars replied.
"That is why you have the special connection to the temple fire, isn't it
Rei-san? You are the senshi of flames." Her grandfather looked at her with newfound
respect.
"Yes. We often used those powers to help us deal with enemies." Sailormars
told him.
"Mako-chan? Why didn't you ever tell me?" Ken asked.
"I couldn't! It would have put you in danger. And me in more danger than I a
lready was. Just existing in this life is a danger." Sailorjupiter told him.
"Danger? You put my little girl in danger!" Minako's mom yelled at the Neo-Queen.
"Mom! No it wasn't like that." Sailorvenus insisted.
"I have risked many lives over the past four years, including Naru-chan's, my
family's, and the lives of my senshi." Serenity said quietly.
"She has died so many times to keep this world safe and it isn't even her world!
She is an angel who fought so hard, against her nature, to protect us!" Sailormercury
insisted.
"It is true. I once heard a saying that if an Angel fell from the Heaven's, she
would save us all. Neo-Queen Serenity is an Angel. She came from the Moon though, not
Heaven. Each night she risked her life and went through more pain than any of you could
ever bear. Because she had to. And she had love to endure it with, and for." Sailorpluto
said carefully.
"Sailorpluto, you know that's not true. I am not better than anyone else."
Serenity said softly to her friend. "I am not an Angel. I am merely an immortal."
"Oh Serenity! You are so wonderful." Endymion said quietly, gazing in her eyes.
"Usagi-chan... That's why we drifted apart, isn't it? That's why when Ami-chan
came to our school you started hanging out with her, then Rei-chan then the others more,
isn't it?" Naru-chan asked. Neo-Queen Serenity shut her eyes tightly to hold back the
tears.
"Yes. I didn't want to endanger you. Already the Negaverse seemed to attack
you so much more often. And then when Nephrite..." Neo-Queen Serenity's voice trailed off.
"Died. You knew all that time what had really happened."
"I wanted to tell you! To comfort you! To let you know that someone did
understand and that you did have someone to talk to about it. I couldn't. I just
couldn't!" Neo-Queen Serenity wasn't fighting the tears anymore. They flowed freely
down her face.
"I forgive you." Naru-chan said quietly. "I was never mad at you for it, or
even really hurt. Somehow, I knew all along that there was a fantastical reason why
you couldn't always be there for me. I always knew, somehow, that you were there for
me a lot more than I realize and as Sailormoon you were!"
As Naru finished speaking, Neo-Queen Serenity left her throne to throw her arms
around her dearest friend.
"Usako, be careful. You are still weak." Endymion said as he came up behind
her. "You used far too much energy.
"Prince Endymion. Hmm.... I think I like the idea of my daughter dating a
prince." Kanji said to himself.
"Your majesty," Sailor Saturn began. "The people are gathering outside.
You need to address them."
Neo-Queen Serenity nodded.
"We should leave then." Motoki-san said.
"Yes." Neo-Queen Serenity replied. "But please! All of you. Come back any
time you want to, even if it is just to say hello. The doors of the Crystal Palace are
always open to you."
They all nodded as they filed out of the throne room. Neo-Queen Serenity knew
they never would come visit. They never would look at their children, friends or loves
the same ever again. As she looked at the face of each of the people standing around her,
she knew they
knew the same. They had lost everyone but each other. All for the sake of the world.
