Mamoru looked at me, puzzled.
‘The Senshi just told him that the wedding is off.’ I replied. ‘ Look’ I said, motioning
to the window. The scene below was almost unbearable. Motoki had collapsed on the ground,
crying. The Senshi were standing together barely looking sad. I saw Rei look up at me.
She saw me smiling gently with Mamoru at my side. She said something to the Senshi.
Together they left the scene of the bride-groom-to-be and came up to my room
‘Before they get her,’ Mamoru began, having seen me pass signals with Rei. ‘ I have
an important question for you, Usagi-chan’
‘Yes, Mamoru?’ I asked, puzzled.
‘Usako, will you marry me?’ I threw my arms around his neck and cried yes again and again.
‘I see all went well’ commented Rei. I smiled at her and mouthed ‘Arigato’ to them all.
‘Yes’ I said out loud.
‘Very’ Mamoru added. Minako giggled with delight.
‘We’re getting married’ I added. The others laughed with joy. I turned to the Senshi.
‘What did you tell Motoki? I asked.
‘Usagi-chan, you don’t want to know anything about that.’ Rei replied with a dark look on
her face. ‘Your happiness is all that matters to us, so please, don’t ask again.’
Just then I heard angry footsteps approaching my room. I looked fearfully at Mamoru, the
Senshi then back at Mamoru.
‘Don’t worry, Usako, We’ll protect you.’ comforted Mamoru, holding me in his arms. My door
flung open. There, standing before me, was my own father, madder then hell. Beside him was
my mother, who was crying.
‘Why Usagi-chan? Why?’ was all she said. My dad, on the other hand, had plenty to say.
‘Usagi-chan! How could you be so heartless? Do you know what you did to him? To us? How could
you? I have never been more disappointed in you before in my life.’ he raged on, and as he
pointed a finger at Mamoru, he exclaimed ‘YOU! You’re probably the reason behind all of this.’
He would have continued, I’m sure, if Rei hadn’t interrupted.
‘Hey!’ she screamed. ‘Shut up!’ her eyes were flashing fire. ‘Usagi-chan is not heartless!
She has all the love in the world in her heart. The world is only this way now because of
that love and courage and power! You say you’re disappointed in Usagi-chan? She’s accomplished
more in one night then you could accomplish in 10 life times. Yeah, so what if poor little
Motoki’s a little heart broken. Would you want Usagi to marry a man she didn’t love? Would you?
Usagi and Mamoru are meant to be, past, present and FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing, and I mean
nothing, you can do can bring them apart. They have died for each other. Their love survived
death. It reached over 1000 years. Mister, you don’t know what you talking about, nor who your
talking too!’ Rei finished. I went to her and hugged her.
‘Thank you Rei-chan’ I turned to my father. ‘She’s right,’ I began, albeit a lot calmer. ‘I
died for Mamoru in our past life and in this life. In our past, I killed myself after he died.
I blindly followed him into death and if anything were to happen to him in this life, I would
do it again. I love him more than my own life. Mother, I’m sorry for hurting you like this. I
really am. Please forgive me’.
‘Usagi, there’s nothing to forgive, if you really love him’ my mother replied. She stepped
forward and embraced me. That’s when I noticed Motoki.
‘Usagi.’ He said bitterly. ‘Mamoru.’
‘Motoki’ greeted Mamoru, stiffly, with a nod. Rei came forward and pulled me back, obviously
afraid of what Motoki might do to me. My mother followed me over and stood next to me.
‘Relax, Rei,’ Motoki said. ‘I won’t do anything to your precious Usagi But Mamoru, on the other
hand.’
‘Motoki, you know I can beat you, so don’t try and start a fight with me.’ Mamoru said.
‘I don’t know Mamoru. What have you got that I don’t have, other then Usagi?’ Motoki
asked.
‘What is this obsession with Usagi!?!’ Screamed Minako at Motoki. .
‘Look pal, if you wanna fight, I’ll fight you.’ offered Makoto. I sensed evil from him and
cried out as Makoto said that.
‘No Mako-chan! He’s dangerous’ I said with a hidden message in my voice. The Senshi and Mamoru
all caught it. Rei nodded and whispered.
‘Evil, a strange force. Be careful and remember he wants strong revenge on the prince and
princess.’ My mother turned to me and asked in a hushed tone,
‘Prince? Princess?’ I whispered back,
‘I’ll explain later.’ She nodded.
‘Look Andrew, Usagi and I have a past together, and a future together. Don’t try to mess with
destiny,’ warned Mamoru. ‘There are prices to pay if you do.’
‘Yeah? Like what?’ Motoki asked. Suddenly, a cold wind blew harshly through my room. I looked
for the source of the breeze. Nothing. The windows were closed and the doorway was blocked. I
heard two words whispered. Ice cream? I asked myself, puzzled. No. Dead scream. A blast of
pink energy came flying towards Motoki.
‘Prices like that’ said an authoritative voice. We all turned to see Sailor Pluto standing at
a portal with Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus.
‘Understand?’ she asked.
‘Yes,’ gasped Motoki, who was trying to recover from the blast.
‘Good’ Sailor Uranus said.
‘Queen,’ greeted Sailor Neptune. I laughed.
‘Not yet,’ My father, brother and Motoki looked at me, puzzled.
‘Usagi-chan,’ Shingo asked. ‘You know the Sailor Senshi?’
‘Sayonara, Queen’ departed Pluto. She motioned for Uranus and Neptune to go through the
portal. They did.
‘Pluto!’ I called, and she turned. ‘ Arigato’. She smiled and nodded, having caught the message
behind the word. A few minutes later the door bell rang. Shingo ran to get it.
‘Usagi-chan! It’s for you!’ I went down the stairs followed by Ami, Rei, Minako, Makoto, Mamoru
and everyone else. Setsuna, Haruka and Michiru were there as I had requested.
‘Konnichiwa!’ I greeted, hugging Setsuna.
‘Konnichiwa,’ she returned.
‘Where’s Hotaru-chan?’ I asked.
‘Here,’ replied a voice from the door.
‘I’m not staying for Usagi’s little get together’ stormed my father, still angry over the
broken engagement and Rei’s *speech*. He turned and left the room, without another word.
‘Goodbye, Usagi-chan, if you’re sure that’s what you want’ Motoki looked at me with a look
of longing.
‘Yes Motoki, that’s what I want’ he turned and walked out of my life, without looking back.
I was glad.
‘Shingo, go.. play outside.’ Ordered Mrs. Tsukino.
‘Ok, mom.’ Shingo agreed.
‘Usagi-chan,’ my mother began, hesitantly. ‘Prince? Princess?’ She looked only slightly
puzzled. ‘Is everything Rei-chan said about you and Mamoru-kun true?’ she asked.
‘Hai, mother.’ I took a deep breath and glanced around. The outer senshi had taken seats
together on one couch and the inner senshi were on the other couch. Mamoru had sat on the
love seat and my mother was in the chair. I went to sit beside Mamoru. As I was about to
continue, my mother spoke.
‘So it was true.’ She exclaimed.
‘What was Tsukino-san?’ asked Ami.
‘My dream..’
