The
Hanoverian Commonwealth was formed during the reign of
King James, with the acquisition of the former Grand
Duchy of Athenoi and the former Empire of Calormen.
Treaties were signed that gave sovereignty over those
nations to King James and his heirs, and the citizens of
those nations became citizens of Hanover.
Following
the adoption of the Constitution of Bergen, the
Commonwealth nations became part of the Kingdom of
Hanover itself. The Kingdom now consists of three
Dominions - Athenoi, Calormen, and Emden. Hanoverian
citizens may choose to associate themselves with any one
of these Dominions, and all are represented in
Parliament.
