Jay is an all star for all seasons. He is a 3 sport athlete who will graduate with 11 varsity letters. Yorty is a 4 year starter at quarterback earning all Conference, County, Quad County and North Inland District First Team honors.
Now a senior, he averaged over 100 yards rushing and 100 yards passing a game.
Jay ranks in the top 15 of his class with a 3.87 GPA
This season Jay finished the year with over 1000 yards passing, 1000 yards rushing and several punts greater than 60 yards that pinned the other teams deep into their own territory.
Jay is only the third QB in the county history to have 1000 yards passing and 1000 yards rushing in a single season.
Yorty is a starting guard on the basketball team and pitcher for the baseball team recording over 100 strike outs last season.
The Lisbon baseball team won the 2002-2003 Tri-County Crown.
Jay also led the Youngstown Summer B League in strike outs for the 2003 season
