1/32 PRODUCTION CHALLENGE     

Held on Sunday the 17 August 2003, this one off race gave every driver a full hour's running time - 10 minutes on each lane. The competition started with 1 minute qualifying - each driver's fastest lap deciding which group they would race in for the main race.  This race was for the new BSCRA production class with Falcon motors.  In fact the lap times were only a few tenths off the best times achieved on clubnights with the much more powerful Hornet / Super Wasp powered Super Production cars.
Dscn0080.jpg (194848 bytes) The C Group (left) included the furthest traveled driver, Bill Jenner all the way from Kent, Two juniors Josh Robbins and Scott Francis and Mark Hammond.

The B Group (below left) was Luke Dale, Mike Jones, Luke Dale and Ashley Jones.  The Jones family suffered some bad luck with  reliability.

The A Group (below) was Tony Preston (sprinting to make the start on time!), top qualifier Simon Francis, Bob Errington, Carl Dale and Steve Tozer.   The final developed into close race between Bob and Carl once Simon suffered controller problems.  Bob's small overall lead increased near the end as Carl had red lane and a slowing motor.
