The Tomball Cougars received a slight blow when they found out their starting shortstop, senior Robert Dittrich, sustained a fracture on his glove hand in Tuesday night's game against Conroe. Dittrich was covering the bag on a stolen base attempt and his glove hand was slid into, forcing his wrist back and causing the injury. He had a cast put on today, but should be back in action in 2 weeks. Playoffs will also begin in two weeks, but if the Cougar's can manage to win the district, they will receive a first round bye. The winner of the district, either Klein Oak or Tomball, are scheduled to play Elkins in a tune-up game during the bye week.
