Well, having tested the LiteStar on several short trips around the Mauston area and a quick trip to Wisconsin Dells and a short trip to find some RAT sites close by, I felt that I could trust the machine to get me to someplace further away. Having been subscribed to the Internet BMW Riders (IBMWR) mailing list I decided that I would take up the invitation to all on the list to attend the Octoberfest at Beemer Hill just outside of Palmyra hosted by Brian Manke & Sue Rihn-Manke. If I could make it as far as Palmyra I thought that I could make it a little further and visit my brother and family living outside Delafield, WI. I also figured that I would sleep over at their place but I didn't want to call ahead because I wanted to surprise them when I drove up their driveway. You see, although I told them what I had bought, they never had laid eyes on it, so this would be great fun to see their reaction. Sleeping over, well that's another story ;o)

Ready to show my brother (in back seat) what it is like to fly down the road.
Here I come! Driving up my brother's driveway.
My Brother, me and his son (in that order). Admiring my new toy.
My impressive LiteStar autocycle enhancing my brother's otherwise mundain abode.
"Yeah, it's pretty nifty, but can you grab your left ear with your right hand? " Pretty nifty bro.
            My bro ready to go.
'Course I only let him sit in it for a short while.
The LiteStar makes its debue at Beemer Hill. Directly behind and up the hill are the "real" BMW cycles. This is where they wanted me to park. I wonder ...
Here is the bonfire. It was impressive at night. There is a big oak tree directly behind the bonfire. I was sure that it was going to catch fire, the flames of the bonfire reached pretty high. This picture doesn't do it justice. Sorry.
Here I am, ready to take off for home after a great evening at Beemer Hill and a relaxing stopover at my brother's house.
