-BRADLEY TAKES ON GORE-Bradley accused Gore of race baiting by using the Willie Horton ad against Dukakis. Because Horton was a black rapist, Bradley said it was "racial insensitivity". Bradley also accused Gore of flip-flops on abortion, tobacco and gun control. The campaign has turned to attacks and accusations. |

-HILLARY RE-ANNOUNCES HER INTENTION TO RUN FOR SENATE-With declining poll numbers Hillary Clinton now says she will announce her candidacy in February. She said in November she would announce in January and now says she has to be sure to get her husband and daughters schedules coordinated to make the announcement. A Marist poll had Giuliani leading by a large 49 to 40 percent in the N.Y. Senate race. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
-REPUBLICANS DEBATE-In Michigan the candidates debated taxes, Bush defended his 483 billion tax cut and said McCain's 240 billion tax cut is inadequate. McCain's candidacy was hurt when it was discovered he took trips on a special interests' airplane in an obvious conflict of interest. McCain claimed to "only" write a letter to a government agency to help the special interest. Bush, widely thought to have won the most recent debates, now leads his rivals in a Zogby poll 55 to 12 for McCain and Keys moving up at 6 percent and in striking distance on McCain for second place. A new Boston Herald WCVB-TV poll puts Bush now in a lead over McCain by one point (33-32) in New Hamshire, a Reuters poll has McCain leading N.H. by 7 points over Bush.. Forbes also gains as McCain losses some of his momentum he had, Keys gains too. |

-GORE'S CAMPAIGN MANAGER MAKES RACIST REMARKS-Donna Brazile, Gore's campaign manager, said black Republicans don't care about other blacks and children. J.C.Watts (Republican congressman) wrote to Gore asking for action to be taken. It is not clear yet if Gore will fire his racist campaign manager, but presidential nominee Dukakus fired Brazile in 1988 for making up lies about President George Bush. |

-ELIZABETH DOLE ENDORSE'S GEORGE BUSH- Bush wins the backing of the popular former candidate of president Liddy Dole. This well timed endorsement will make the nomination of Bush easier and will increase the chances of Elizabeth Dole being picked as the Vice Presidential nominee. |

-INDEPENDENT COUNCEL ROBERT RAY FIGHTS BACK AT THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION FOR MAKING FALSE ACCUSATIONS- Clinton on Larry King accused the OIC of "leaking" news that he and Hillary want the taxpayers to pay his lawyers. Clinton denied the story was true. Independent Councel Ray said this false accusation is another attempt in an ongoing effort to impugn the itegrity of a constituted law enforcement investigation. The Clinton administration attacked the OIC of leaking back in January but U.S. Court of Appeals rejected the claim. This tactic of claiming leaks has been a Clinton administration attempt to divert public attention; and their friends in the liberal media have helped make the "claims" sound legitimate by repeating the claims consistently, although the media knew who they got "leaks" from. |

-MAJORITY NOW SUPPORT CLINTON IMPEACHMENT- In a USA/Today/CNN/Gallup poll, one year after Bill Clinton was impeached by Congress in the House, a majority 50-49 say Clinton should have been impeached. And 42% now say Clinton should not have gotten away with it in the Senate were Democrats cleared Clinton of lying under oath. As the Clinton propaganda wears off people see more clearly the magnitude of the first elected president impeached and acquitted in the Senate of illegal acts. A new Zogby poll says more people, 42% to 39%, say they're ashamed to have Clinton as president vs. proud to have Clinton. |

-McCAIN AND BRADLEY TEAM WITH ABC NEWS-The two politicians joined in support of "campaign finance" reform. ABC News and other liberal news organizations have promoted the "reforms" to cut off money to candidates so the news media has greater power in elections. ABC News promoted this joint campaign appearance of the two candidates. McCain has lost support in the Republican party for supporting the unconstitutional bill that favors the Democrats. The bill censors free speech in campaigns, but exempts the liberal special interest group, unions, and the media organizations that support liberals. |

-JUDGE SAYS TRIPP HAS NO IMMUNITY- The judge in the tape recording trial of Linda Tripp sided with the prosecutors and took away Tripp's immunity rights she got from the OIC and Judge Starr pushing the political trial of Tripp forward. Linda Tripp is now the only one in the Clinton scandal to face charges as Democrate state attorney's in Maryland prosecute her for taping evidence that led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Clinton was found to have lied under oath and fined by an Arkansas judge, but criminal charges were not brought against the sitting president. Lewinsky was also given immunity that Tripp had from the OIC and Starr, bringing in question her protection of immunity. There are more questions to decide before the case can start, but it is now expected Tripp will need to go to higher courts to keep her constitutional rights. |

-PROSECUTOR IN MARYLAND SAID SHE WAS UNDER POLITICAL PRESSURE TO INVESTIGATE LINDA TRIPP-The new evidence came in a pretrial hearing on the "tape recording" trial against Linda Tripp. The Maryland prosecutors are trying to claim Tripps immunity didn't count until a judge finalized it. Immunity was given to Tripp by OIC and Starr, but prosecutors are making an unprecedented legal argument to continue their political prosecution of Linda Tripp. As you may recall Democrats were angered that Tripp recorded Monica Lewinsky in order to protect herself when Tripp was pressured to break the law and lie under oath. |

-GEORGE BUSH CONTINUES LARGE LEAD IN POLL-In a new Fox poll Bush leads Gore 53% to 36%. In a Rasmussen poll Bush leads Gore 390 electoral votes to 40 in states that were polled seperately. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||
-HILLARY CAUGHT ON FILM TREATING A "HOMELESS" AS SHE SAYS GIULIANI DOES-Hillary Clinton using the "issue" of the "homeless" against the mayor has showed just how far to the left her campaign has turned. She has condemned the mayors policy to remove people off the streets in the hope to help them. Instead Hillary has used these people for political gain, joining with radicals saying "homeless" have rights to stay on the streets putting themselves and others at risk. Giuliani's policy is in the response to a woman hit with a brick by a "homeless" criminal. Also, in Massachusetts the "homeless" started a fire leading to the death of six firemen. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
-PUBLIC SCHOOL SHOOTINGS-The Last one was in Oklahoma, thankfully no injuries are thought to be life-threatening. School shootings were one of the biggest news stories of 1999. The increased school violence during the Clinton years and increasingly deadly acts by students in the nations public schools shows no signs of ending. In what may become the Clinton legacy grows as a national problem as our children lose respect for human life and act out in hopelessness and with liberal thoughts of gloom and worthlessness. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
-BUSH SUPPORTS 483 BILLION DOLLAR TAX CUT- The tax cut over 5 years of 483 billion becomes central part of the Bush campaign. George Bush focused on the tax cut being for poor and middle income individuals. |
