Notes for Frank Delay JARVIS
Frank was about seven years old when him parnents immigrated to
Cleveland from Weston Super Mere England. He was a painter and
paperhanger. He married twice. The name of the first is not known.
When Allie died in 1919 he was left with four children under 10. The
two girls were 4 and 1 1/2. There were no day care facilities in those
days and he felt that he could not work to support the children and
care for the two little ones at the same time and they were too young
to be left alone so he allowed them to be adopted. The boys were in
school during the day and were old enough to stay by themselves after
schoo until his return. Jeans adopted family kept him involved with
her but Dotties new family wanted to cut the relationship off. He
died of hear failure in 1933.
