KOVALAM beach can be divided into three three parts. The most popular among the three beaches is the southern most known as the Lighthouse Beach. Middle one is the Hawah Beach and the northern most is the Samudra.
Kovalam is a natural bay ideal for kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. One can swim in the shallow blue water and a sunbath in the exotic tropical sun can adorn you with a good suntan. The coast at many places is lined with beautiful patches of coral reefs or you can crest the waves on logs of lashed woods on catamarans.
VARKALA beach is among the most popular beach resorts in Kerala, mainly because of the mineral water springs with medicinal property that gush out of the high cliffs bordering the beach.
PAYYAMBALAM BEACH which is located near Kannur town, is one of the beautiful beach sites in the state of Kerala. If you prefer surfing in calm and peaceful waters then this is the place just for you.
PATHIRAMANAL BEACH, This little island beach, on the backwaters is a favourite natural hub of hundreds of rare migratory birds that reside over here from different parts of the land.
