MUNNAR
-------This hill station is located at an altitude 1600 m above sea level. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book town and winding lanes make this a popular hill station. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands is the beautiful 'Neelakurinji'. The flower which bathes the hills in blue every twelve years. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m . It is an ideal spot for trekking

At Marayoor, near Munnar, you can experience the peace and beauty of a sandalwood forest.
Chinnar wild life sanctuary is just 10 k.m away from here. Another attraction is the Mattupetty dairy farm, which is 13 k.m away from Munnar. This specialised dairy farm is an Indo-Swizz live stock project. Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here.
Nilgiri Tahr

-----------------Rajamala, which is 15 k.m away from Munnar, is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr. Half the world's population of the rare mountain goat or tahr, which is fast becoming extinct, is now found here.

DEVIKULAM
--------------This gorgeous hill station symbolises nature in her pristine glory. The crisp and cool mountain air heavily laden with the fragrance of wild flowers and rare herbs is any nature lover's paradise. The idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air offers a rare experience to visitors.
Devikulam, nature lover's paradise
A lovely, little lake hidden within the rolling hills, the Sita Devi Lake, is an ideal place for trout fishing. Irresistibly green slopes touching the sky at a thousand metres. Silent clusters of red and blue gum trees. This is Devikulam, truely a hot spot for hill station tourism.
PONMUDI
The enchanting bounty of nature can be witnessed here in the quiet surroundings. The shimmering green waters of the winding streams and verdant woods of Ponmudi do not spare anybody. Trekking is a passion with the visitors to Ponmudi. Spectacular sweep of the hill ranges, tea estates and the mist-covered valleys, with little stone cottages with pointed and peaked roofs, its simply mind blowing.
NELLIYAMPATHY
The cool hills of Nelliyampathy, offer a breathtaking veiw of the misty mountains and enchanting valleys interspersed with sprawling tea, cofee, cardamom and orange plantations. The bracing climate and green magic of nature enhance the exhilarating experience.
One must visit Seethakundu, for a vantage view of the spectacle, where a 100 m high waterfall cool your mind and body. Seethakundu offers a fantastic view of the valley below a wide-angled vision of one third of the entire Palakkad area. It has immense trekking potential also.
LAKKIDI
Loafty peaks, gurgling streams and luxuriant forests add magic to the journey up the winding roads to this hill station. Lakkidi is one of the highest locations in Wayanad, 700 m above mean sea level , and registers the second highest degree of rainfall in the world.
Pookot Lake, the natural fresh water lake is 3 k m away from Lakkidi. This fresh water lake nestles in the lap of the meadows and mountains surrounding it. Boating in this lake is a memorable experience. Tall trees and dense forests that line along the pathway around the lake provide a visual treat.
PEERUMEDU
Peerumedu is a small hill station snuggled at an altitude of 914 m above sea level. Clouds drop gently on the peaks that flank the vedant slopes of Peerumedu. Rich with mile upon mile of plantations falling away in precise steps. Coffee, tea, pepper, cardamom and rubber flourish in what is the most fertile part of the Western Ghats.
These are broken only by spectacular waterfalls in the distance and wide open grasslands in places. On a fairly warm day, the temperature scale reads between five and ten degrees celsius. No wonder, this tiny hill station is a hot tourist destination.
