CMT 30: [To screen] Shania dropped by Toronto recently to promote her new fragrance Shania Starlight and I asked her when she might be satisfying one of our other senses.

CMT 30: Your album…there’s rumours, well not really rumours; it’s on your website that something might be happening next year.
Shania: Well it’s not official. I haven’t officially said that I will have anything in 2008. It would be great if I did, but I can only say I’m working on it and…
CMT 30: Is that the question you get asked most often?...because that must be annoying after a while.
CMT 30: When’s the new music coming out?
Shania: Yeah, when’s the new music coming out.
CMT 30: You release more and then people are automatically… it’s like when you get engaged they’re like when are you getting married?
Shania: I know, it’s like asking when a painting is going to be finished. I don’t know. It’s really hard to say. I just have to go with the flow, I’m as well sometimes quite anxious to get music out so I understand people asking well when’s new music coming out? I just don’t know for sure. We are absolutely in the works with it, and it’s just a question of when it’s finished.
CMT 30: Is it a little bit daunting to get back on the horse? You know, for lack of a better term to get…or is it like I can’t wait to get back in there?
Shania: No, some days I feel like I want to jump right in. I went to an Elton John concert a few nights ago, and of course I get totally pumped and singing my heart out, and having a really great time. He dedicated a song to me, and I’m like Oh! I felt like I was already there and so I like…
CMT 30: You’re like I can do that!
Shania: Exactly, I’m there. I’m there when I’m there. I don’t ever leave it, it’s something that never leaves you. It don’t have to warm up to it.
CMT 30: We just came off I guess the season of music, the Canadian country music awards, were in Regina this year and we just got back from that. Anything to say to the Canadian fans who are watching on CMT right now?
Shania: [Turns to screen] Oh yeah! Just love you guys, and I can’t wait to come back!
