E!Talk (Mulroney): [Speaking to the camera] She's one of the best selling country artists of all time, still it's not just music that’s made Shania Twain famous. She's back home in Canada celebrating her new perfume but still I had to ask her about music.
E!Talk (Mulroney): Now you've announced a new album in 2008…what can you tell us about that?
Shania: It's not officially announced yet.
E!Talk (Mulroney): It's not officially announced? [Pretends to zip mouth shut] We’ve heard grumblings.
Shania: There have been rumours about that. I wouldn’t say that’s going to happen. I don’t know when. I’d like to see it happening in 2008. I just…I got a lot of work to do still.
E!Talk (Female speaker): [Clips from IGGG, Ka-Ching!, FAFA and MIFLAW and concert clips play] …and while she won’t dish on the details fans can count on Shania to stay true to her independent ways.
Shania: [Screen splits – small screen with Shania speaking the other playing the same video clips] I'm going very much in the direction…I would say staying in the same direction, but stronger. Uh, from the perspective of independence, female strength. There's just no way of avoiding it at this point in my life [yells in that laughing sort of way she always does when joking] I just gotta go there! I just gotta carry-on going there! It isn’t just a perspective for me now, I really feel like I'm living it. I'm living what I'm writing right now.
E!Talk (Female Speaker): [Clips of the Starlight video play] So while you're going to have to wait for her next album she just launched her second fragrance Shania Starlight.
E!Talk (Mulroney): Who do you invision wearing this? I’m guessing it's not me.
Shania: [laughs] Why not? Um, women will think you smell great! (Laughs) You know any woman really. It's light enough for...for instance, my son has a little girlfriend, she's only 6 and she loves it.
E!Talk (Mulroney): Can I ask you a question about perfume application? Are you supposed to spray it in the air and walk? …or are you supposed to put it on your wrists, how does a woman do it?
Shania: I spray it everywhere. [Cuts to a clip from Starlight video]…in my hair especially, the back of my hairline I wear my hair up a lot, so I spray it in my hair and Eja loves the smell of my hair. He always says “Oh mommy your hair smells so good!”
E!Talk (Female Speaker): [Cuts to a clip of Shania's home] …and although Shania and family still live in Switzerland, [Cuts to a clip of her homecoming] it's the smells of her homeland the remind her of her roots.
E!Talk (Mulroney): You're back in Canada, what scents and smells remind you of home?
Shania: …pine trees and cedar mostly. Poutine, would always do it too of course. Perhaps when you're walking by a poutine place.
