LOS ANGELES Eschewing the chance to see Tiger Woods' U.S. Open final-round
run, a bevy of entertainers again was on hand at the Staples Center on Sunday
to watch Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Actress Sally Field, director Jesse Dylan and director-writer-actor Malcolm D. Lee joined regulars Jack Nicholson, Dyan Cannon, Penny Marshall, Dustin Hoffman, Spike Lee, Tobey Maguire, Matt Damon, Chris Tucker, Mark Wahlberg, David Beckham, Rick Fox, Flea and Denzel Washington. Dylan is the son of Bob Dylan, and Malcolm Lee is Spike Lee's cousin.
Also on hand: 17-year-old Spanish basketball star Ricky Rubio; Ashanti, who sang the national anthem; country music star Shania Twain, wearing a Lakers hat and T-shirt; "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr.; Sylvester Stallone; Paula Abdul; Diddy; Vanessa Marcil; Nicole Richie; Michelle Kwan; David Spade; Terrell Owens and Kelly Slater.
Nicholson sits to the right of Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers, and the two have been chatting pregame. "Usually he tells me his golf score from that day, and I always question the number that he tells me," Rivers says. "Other than that, that's about all we talk about."
