Contract Administration

One of the most challenging contracts I wrote, negotiated and administered was one for design and fabrication of nuclear fuel assemblies and related services for our Three Mile Island nuclear generating station. These contracts use a unique language and require a thorough understanding of each step of the fuel process, as well as the legal requirements specific to this type of service and product.  Development and finalization of the agreement took over a year, and resulted in significant savings and an increase in clarity of the contract, which was over 50 pages long.

Concise contractual definition replaced vague and sometimes conflicting terms, and the previous cycle of dispute-negotiation-amendment was broken.
