What is "Card Captor Sakura"?
"Card Captor Sakura" is a "shoujo/shounen" (shoujo = young girl, and shounen = young boy) anime about a young 4th-grade girl named "Kinomoto Sakura" (in the middle of the above picture), who fell upon the magical "book of clow", one day. In this magical book were enchanted cards, each one possesing a power and entity of its own. When she opened the book, she accidentaly released all but one of the cards (oops). The cards scattered about all over the place. Now, Sakura has the duty of recapturing all the cards. But it's not that easy. She befriends "Kero-chan", guardian beast of the clow (she's not at full power because the cards are gone), Li Shaoran, another card captor, his cousin, Li Meilin, and her best friend, Daidouji Tomoyo, to help her on her quest.
Each card has its own power and visual form, and Sakura must use her intelligence and the cards she already has to capture them all. For example, she won't capture the "Earth Card" with the "Windy". But I won't reveal how she captures that one, 'cause that would ruin the suprise. :)
The show is not always about Sakura. There is much more to it, but you'll have to watch it yourself to see.
