In 1759, he was in Capt. GEN: James Reed's Co., and in 1760, at the battles of Ticonderoga and Crown Point, was in Capt. Thomas Beaman's Co., which served GEN: from April to December, being then eighteen years of age. He was also a member of the company of Capt. Job Cushing of GEN: Shrewsbury in the regiment of Col. Jonathan Ward, in the Revolutionary War, and in Capt. Job Whipple's Co., 5th Regt., in 1777 GEN: and 1779. His discharge was dated Apr. 1, 1779.
