at the Soviet Jewish Zionist Forum, a non-profit advocacy group serving
the needs of the immigrant community.
1996-1999, Eli served as the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industry
and Trade, Natan Sharansky. In 1999-2000, he served as the Chief
of Staff in the Ministry of Interior. During these years, Eli Kazhdan was
intimately involved with the policy development of these two ministries,
was a member of many official delegations abroad, and served on a number
of Interministerial committees. In 2001, was honored by "Shir Hadash"
for "infusing politics with integrity and Jewish values."
