How did you hear about TCA?
I heard about TCA in the LA Times


Product or Service:
My product is an aggressive inline rollerblade. The market for such rollerblades is very lucrative as it is new. The rollerblade will address many issues that consumers complain about, ie. Foot pain, sole width, customization, cuff flexibilit etc. etc. All common problems in current aggressive rollerblades, that no company has yet addressed


Business Model:
Once there are prototypes of the skate made, I can go about getting an aggressive inline team of pro rollerbladers. Once there is a team of well known pro rollerbladers, then there will be alot of "hype created" The team will travel, skating at contests and the sort. Ads will also be taken out in very popular inline magazines such as Daily Bread, also in the "inline world" news travels very quickly Via word-of-mouth.


Current Status:
All members are full time. We are at the design stage. There is a nominal ammount of "hype" about TETO Skate in the inline world as of right now. People have been spreading the word. Drawings have been made, but until funding is acquired a prototype inline shell cannot be made.

Key Relationships:
Most will be done by Sam, Tom and the Pros. Web design is being done by a friend Brian Lincon, and no fee is being asked. A supplier has not yet been determined because of lack of funding. Most of these things cannot be answer until a prototype is made, as that is how the inline industry is.

Use of Funds:
Funds will go towards creating and testing a protoype, hiring professional inline rollerbladers, manufacturing, distrobution, ad campaigns, tour of the USA for the team to creat publicity. Creating a shell mold for an inline boot is about 250k per foot, per size range. One shell’s size range will include 2 sizes starting at size 6 going to 13. The total for shell casts will be in the range of 4M. All other funds will be used for above mentioned costs.

Competitive Advantage:
TETO Skate has ideas that no other company has had before. They include; foam heel retention system, honeycombed foot bed for added strength, soft open boot, hard shell to add over soft boot, adjustable cuff that requires no irreversible modifications like some other companies. This will equal a supperior rollerblade to all of those on the markey currently and the in the future. Once the "pro team" is assembled, there will be even more of an advantage because kids will see how they rollerblade and want to bejust like them. Our primary market would be people from 13-24
