Staying in Lisbon
Lisbon has many hotels and you may satisfy any price range that you desire. We preferred the Four Stars ranges and found that they were very comfortable. The first hotel that we stayed in was the hotel Fenix. The Fenix is located on the Marquês de Pombal Circle, which is very convent to most of the points of interest. The second hotel that we stayed in was the Real Parque, which is located a little further out. The Real Parque is a newer hotel with very nice accommodations and a management staff that was extremely helpful in straightening out our reservations.

he third hotel that we stayed in was the Lisboa Plaza. (Tel: 351-21-321 8218) E-Mail the Plaza or check on reservations and prices directly Lisboa Plaza - rates, availability and reservations.T
he Lisboa Plaza has extremely impressive accommodations, a pleasant staff, and is extremely convent to town. It is located just off the Avenida da Liberdade near the Avenida stop on the Metro. We have gotten to enjoy this hotel and have stayed in it on four trips of our trips to Lisbon. The staff is very friendly and courteous and they have one of the finest breakfast menus of any of the hotels in which we stayed. The hotel is family owned and operated since its construction in 1953. It has been totally redecorated by one of the most famous Portuguese interior designers. This is a photograph of the lounge area next to the bar.
L
astly but not least, I should compliment the bartender for putting up with my very poor Portuguese for the two days until my wife arrived. Thanks lots for helping me correct my pronunciation, you really were very helpful.Another hotel that we stayed in and that we found extremely comfortable was the Hotel Mundial Tel:(21 884 20 00) Fax:(21 884 21 10) or E Mail the Mundial. We enjoyed a very comfortable room that had a splendid view of the recently renovated Praça do Martim Moniz. From other locations within the hotel you are also provided with panoramic views of the city center, the River Tagus and the Castle St. Jorge. The pleasant staff also made our stay most enjoyable.
The Mundial is an extremely nice hotel that is convently located in downtown Lisbon. close to the Praça do Rossio, Praça dos Restauradores and Av. da Liberdade, theaters and cinemas and other attractions.
The hotel has 255 rooms including 3 suites and 5 junior suites. A Coffee Shop on the first floor with a wonderful view of the recently renovated Praça do Martim Moniz. An award winning restaurant Varanda de Lisboa situtated on the eight floor which offers a panoramic view of the city, the river Tagus and the Castle St. Jorge as well as exquisite cuisine.
