B

Bason: Ren's main spirit. He was at Ren's side since Ren was born, and is very loyal to him. He used to be a Chinese General.

Bason-tou: The name of Ren's spear/glaive. It greatly resembles Bason's spear^-^. No wonder Ren uses it. Also, the Bason-tou can be folded, which explains how Ren is able to fit it in a suitcase(manga). ^-^

C

China: Where Ren lives(duh!). This is also where he comes from ^-^(double duh!)

Ching Tao: Ren's bald grandfather. He was the head of the Tao Clan before Ren's father, who beat him in a battle. He's quite nice, actually....

Chuuka Zanmai: Ren's most popular and most common attack. It involves repeatedly stabbing or slashing at his enemies, using the bason-tou.

Chou Golden Chuuka Zanmai: A stronger, more powerful version of the Golden Chuuka Zanmai.

Chou Golden Chuuka Zanmai, Furyoku No Kisen: The ultimate Chuuka Zanmai

Chrome: One of the ten priests of the Shaman Fight who was supposed to monitor Ren. When he taught Ren how to oversoul, Ren killed him because he was "too nice". ^-^'

E

En Tao: Ren's abusive father. ^-^' He punished Ren and Jun severely when they revolted against him. He's also the fiend who taught Ren how to hate humans and how to destroy. he was the head of the Tao family before Ren took over. His oversoul is oversoul Daidohryu, the converged souls of his ancestors. He's had that as an oversoul for years. At first, he looks like a giant, fat guy, but his real form is an old, thin man who has a beard and spiky hair(like the rest of the Taos)....

Golden Chuuka Zanmai: An improved form of the Chuuka Zanmai, wherein, golden light appears when Ren does the Chuuka Zanmai, and little ray thingies fire at the opponent.

Golden Punch: A technique of Bason wherein he punches the opponent

Golden Double Sledge Hammer: Another technique of Bason wherein he puts his hands together and hits the opponent(usually from above)

H

Hakuoh: Ren's beautiful, giant, white horse which he usually uses to travel. It is very, very fast.

Horaiken: The Tao Family sword that has been passed down the Tao family for centuries. It is given to the head of the family. Ren received it when he defeated his dad and became head of the family. He usually uses it to make different weapons come out of the ground/floor by stabbing the ground/floor.

J

Jun Tao: Ren's really nice older sister who cares alot for him and supports him all the way. There is something going on with her and her kyonshii, Li Pailong. She is 17 years old and is a priest(someone who controls kyonshii[zombies], by using sealing tags.

K

Kokutoh: Ren's other spirit; Bason's horse when he was alive. Ren puts Kokutoh's spirit in Hakuoh.

Kisama!: One of Ren's favorite phrases. It means "You bastard!", and he almost always uses it at the start of every sentence.

L

Lain: Ren's name in French, Spanish, etc.

Len: Ren's other name in French, Spanish, etc.

Lian: Ren's OTHER name..... gee, he sure has alot of names, doesn't he? ^-^

M

Milk: Ren's favorite drink. He drinks three glasses of milk a day and yet he's still so short. ^-^ Everytime it's a meal, you will always see Ren(when he's at the table) drinking milk, or you'll see a milk bottle/carton beside him.

N

Nichrome:One of the ten priests of the Shaman Fight who wants revenge on Ren because Chrome(who Ren killed) is his brother. he was also responsible for Ren's death in the manga.

Peaches: For some reason, Ren is always associated with peaches, and no one will tell me why! >_< It must be his favorite fruit.....

Ran Tao: Ren and Jun's mother.

Ren Tao: Uhhh..... Look in his profile.

Shamash: Shamash is who Ren had his first kiss with(in the manga). IT'S TRUE! Shamash is Iron Maiden Jeanne's spirit who carries an axe with it. It brought Ren back to life by kissing him. Arigato Shamash-kun! ^-^

T

Taoism: Its keyword is "Tao", which means "path". No wonder En always talks about paths.... It can also be considered as a religion. It is associated with the saying "Whenever there is light, darkness will always appear". The Tao clan has always believed this and have served China as darkness. It is also related to the Yin and the Yang. ^-^

Taoist: Someone who practices Taoism

Toozen Da: Another favorite phrase of Ren. ^-^ When you select Ren in the game Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans, that's what he says. ^-^ he also says it alot in the anime. "Toozen" literally means "natural", but the whole thing means "Of course".

Tongari: Refers to the one spike on Ren's head. It literally means "point" or "tip" in japanese. Hiroyuki Takei-sama's nickname for Ren's spike. It's also what people like to call Ren whenever they tease him, like Ryu and Horo-Horo.
