Lightsaber Training
In this section I will try to explain the complicated swordform of the lightsaber. If you want to get a better feel for using a sword try going to any martial arts school and ask to be taught some basic techniques with a sword. If you feel that you are ready to begin then, by all means, please continue. I suggest that you complete the Jedi Training before you try this.
BASIC FORM
To begin I am going to give you a couple basic ready stances.
ONE -> (this is a more casual stance.) Stand like you're up to bat at a baseball game. Feet apart, body facing side-ways, sword over the shoulder of your dominant. The only difference is that you will hold the lightsaber's handle(or base) a little further out from your body making it easier to move the lightsaber to a specific point more quickly.
TWO -> Stand with your feet apart, dominant foot in front and facing forward, hold the lightsaber in front of you, point it upward but with a slight outward angle, body facing side-ways. This stance will allow you to gaurd certain vital points easier(vital points will be listed later on).
GUARDING
Defending is your first priority. Don't take the offensive until you find an opening left by your opponent(and there will be one. i don' care how well trained they are; they will eventually leave an opening.).
I have a two-level alert system. Your opponent will go through atleast two stages of alertness based on how well you fight.
ALERT: STAGE ONE -> Here are the vital points(areas your opponent is most likely to attack) for stage one:
- HEAD
- TORSO
- LEG
Your opponent will fight more casually which means leaving openings more often. Most likely will not use full force.
ALERT: STAGE TWO -> Here are the vital points for stage two:
- ARM / HAND
- LEG
- TORSO
- HEAD
Opponent will fight more aggressively and become more cautious about gaurding themself. Reach out with the force. Try to predict where they will attack next.
