"Okay!!!" Jiro exclaimed angrily. "That's the last straw!! This is the last time I'm gonna put up with you, Tonomura Hisashi, EVER!!!"

"Fine!" Hisashi yelled back. "Have it your way! I don't ask you to put up with me either!"

"Bastard!!" Jiro yelled again. "You're one hell of a fucking bastard! I regret I've ever fallen in love with you!!"

With that said, Jiro yanked his coat from the hook, knocking it off in process, then stormed away, leaving two very baffled Teru and Takuro and Hisashi before he could make any reply.

Hisashi turned towards his other two bandmates who had been watching them quetly. "What?" he snarled.

"Uh... nothing... right, Takkun?" Teru said nervously as he nudged Takuro at the side.

"Ah, yeah," Takuro let out a nervous chuckle. "Nothing..."

"I'm going home," Hisashi said abruptly, pivoting on his heels towards the door.

Teru and Takuro stared at each other questioningly. Takuro raised his eyebrow and mouthed 'Do it". Teru nodded.

"Ack, wait, Hisa!" Teru jumped from his seat, only to be replied by a Hisashi patented glare o' death. "Anou... can you give me a ride? Y'see, Takkun has something important to do and he can't give me a ride..."

"Why don't you get yourself a taxi?" he snapped, but finally relented after being given a puppy eyes look from Teru and a glare from Takuro. "Oh, for God's sake, okay!!! But don't expect a happy ride"

Teru's head bobbed up and down. "Okay!" he said and then pecked Takuro on the cheek. "Ja, see you later ne, Takkun"

Takuro smiled and pulled Teru into a small, quick kiss. "Ja. Be careful ne"

Hisashi tore his gaze from the scene, dimly feeling an ache in his heart but quickly dismissed it. "I'm going now," he stated and walked outside without bothering to wait for Teru.

"Gee... matte, Hisa!!" Teru yelled and ran after the blue haired guitarist, jumped into the passenger seat just in time before Hisa pushed his foot on the accelerator.

Teru sighed. Yep, indeed, it was going to be a very long, bumpy road.

* * *

Jiro walked quickly, tearing his way through the mass of people who were busy doing the last time Christmas shopping. He didn't care if there was actually people who recognized him. Hell, he didn't even care if there was suddenly a mob of fangirls ready to attack him.

He didn't care.

He was just too upset to care.

Just who the hell did Hisashi think he was?? For the time being, to Jiro, Hisashi was no more a beloved, caring lover but merely a damn selfish bastard, the one he wanted to throw away from his mind.

Jiro gritted his teeth. It annoyed him the way Hisashi always pointed out the flaws in his logic when they were fighting. It irritated him, the way Hisashi would act cool and making him like a babbling idiot. It pissed him that Hisashi was too damn stubborn to relent and that Hisashi always had to be the one who had the last words in their fights.

He was tired of being the one who always relented at the end. Tired of being the one who always looked like an idiot in every fights.

He was tired of their fights.

He was tired of Hisashi.

…………..

Or so he'd like to think.

Truth was, he knew that he couldn't possibly be tired of the blue-haired guitarist.

* * *

"And that makes me wonder, you know?" Hisashi rambled to Teru. "That makes me wonder what was it in him that makes me still go back to him after our numorous fights??!!"

"It isn't like there isn't any other guy in the world! People want me, they would gladly throw themselves at my feet even just to be spared a quick glance but what. Is. It. That makes me stucked with Jiro??"

"It's either I am the one who apologize first with him or I always forgive him when he apologize. Where the hell is my sense of pride? Why can't I just refuse him for fucking once??"

"And the fights… the fights… GODDAMMIT!!! It isn't even clear what we are fighting about! Fuck, I don't even remember what we are fighting about now! I mean, it is like we talk about one thing and then it always leads up to another, then another, and then there is clashed opinion and then we're fighting. Out of nowhere, bam, he would start yelling and we are fighting again!"

Hisashi stopped ranting and took a deep breath. He took a quick glance at Teru. "Are you even listening to me?" he snapped the vocalist. "Do I make any sense??"

Teru quickly nodded. "Yes, I'm listening to you and yes, you are making some sense" he said quickly. Teru had been Hisashi's friend for damn too long to know better than to try to speak up and give advice when Hisashi was ranting. So he was being a listening ear all the way Hisashi let all his rants flood out of his mouth.

"I don't know what to do," Hisashi said, more calmly this time, but still with evident anger in his voice. "I don't know what should I do about him"

* * *

And he had been thinking about that, all the time he had been walking down this street to nowhere.

But still he hadn't found the solve to his problem. He still didn't know what to do about Hisashi.

He saw so many couple as he walked, holding each other's hand, laughing, smiling, and Jiro felt his heart ache. He didn't thought that this aching feeling would be there, he thought he wouldn't feel it because he was so angry towards Hisashi.

But he did. He couldn't help it. He wished he and Hisashi could be like that too.

After every fight like this, he couldn't help but wonder what had pulled him and Hisashi towards each other. He couldn't help but wonder what the hell it was that tied him together, that made them lasted this long as a couple. He couldn't help but wonder what was it that made them able to survive through every single fights that they had.

As different as both of them could be, he realized that there was something that always pulled them to each other no matter what. It had always been there actually, ever since the first time they met. He realized it - had realized it, as he was sure Hisashi had realized it too all along, but the knowledge had been dismissed, overlooked in their business in hating and fighting each other.

He cannot really understand fully the wonder of Hisashi, as he called it. He hated him, but love him too. Hisashi was annoying him, but he was endearing too. He made him mad, but also fell hopelessly in love too. He was everything bad, but also everything good too. He was a bastard, but he was his dear lover.

Someone tapped his shoulder gently, breaking his train of thoughts. Jiro turned his had and saw a middle aged man looking gently at him. "Na… nani?" he asked.

The man smiled at him. "You look troubled," he said gently. Jiro stared back at the man, wondering silently who the hell the person was. It was then that he was realized that he was standing in front of a cheerfully and beautifully decorated church and that the man that he was staring at was dressed in a priest's outfit.

"Yeah," Jiro smiled ruefully. "You could say so"

"You… want to talk about it?" the man inquiried. "We can sit and you can spill your troubles to me. I'm a good listener, you know"

Jiro smiled at the older man's words. But he didn't feel like spilling out his problems right now. He… didn't know who the person was, so he wasn't sure it was okay or not to confess. He didn't want someone "accidentally" overheard them and he didn't want to be a part of a new gossip. He didn't know it was okay or not to say, but… but there was something in the old man's gentle eyes that told him it was okay to confess. But still…

"You hesitate," the priest said knowingly. "It's okay if you can't share your troubles, I'm just, well, offering to lighten up your mood"

"Ah… yes… gomen nasai," he mumbled, smiling uneasily.

"It's okay, there's nothing to be sorry of," he said and take a better look at Jiro. "Oh, so you are that famous rock star eh?" At the surprise and question that flickered in the younger man's eyes, the man chuckled softly. "My daughter is a big fan of you. She has this huge poster of you and your band plastered firmly on her bedroom wall. She really adore you"

"Oh…" Jiro blushed, not knowing what to say. He glanced at the church behind the priest. He rarely went to the church anymore. When was it the last time he went to church? … Well, maybe it wasn't a bad idea to go in there and did a confession of his sins and ask for forgiven, and he voiced his thought to the priest.

The old man's face brighten. "Why, yes, that would be a very good thing to do," he smiled. "Let's go in then"

"Okay"

But the man stalled a little at his spot, the put his hand on Jiro's shoulder gently. "I don't know the trouble you are going through right now, but I think you'd better sort it out. Tonight will be the Christmas' Eve, and one of the meaning of celebrating Christmas is to bring joy to everyone's heart. And that's including your heart too, young man. You deserve a joyous Christmas' Eve tonight"

* * *

Hisashi glanced at Teru, his lips curved upwards slightly. "And where did you get those words from?" he asked.

"I didn't get it from anybody!" Teru said, pretended to be offended. "Those words came from my heart"

Hisashi glanced at him again, somewhat criptically. "Yeah?"

"Oh yeah," Teru nodded firmly. But then he gave the blue-haired man a sheepish grin. "Well, actually *some* of those words came from Takkun. He said it last Christmas"

"I know it," Hisashi said a matter of factly, grinning a little.

Teru slapped Hisashi's arm lightly. "So… back to the topic. Now how are you going to make things up for him?"

"Well, since I *might* be the one who caused the fight then… maybe I'll just appologize," Hisashi shrugged a little.

Teru rolled his eyes. "How simple. What if he doesn't forgive you, baka?"

Hisashi's eyes fixed to the road. "He will. He always forgive me"

Teru threw his hands to the air. "Oh vey! This is Christmas time, Hisa! Do something more… special to appologize! Give him present! Bring him flowers! Have dinner in front of the very pretty Christmas' Tree!!!"

"Well I'm sorry if I'm not such a romantic person like you but, somehow that sounds more like a date to me," Hisashi sighed.

Teru glared at his friend. "Hisa, you have done this numorous time and hell, you'll done it again!"

When Hisashi didn't react like he thought he would, Teru prodded on gently. "Isn't Jiro-chan a special, important person for you?"

"Yes," Hisashi whispered quietly.

"And you want him to be happy. To smile, to laugh"

"Damn yeah. More than anything…"

"And… he's worth it right? That no matter what difficulties you have to go through to make him happy… he's worth it"

Hisashi nodded, eyes still fixed on the road.

"Then there should be no problem, right? Do somehing special when you appologize coz you said it yourself that he's worth it" Teru said gently.

Hisashi pulled his car to a halt in front of Teru's house then sighed. "Yes, I guess you're right… "

"Of course I am right!" Teru beamed. "I have got a special thing for Takkun Christmas' present!"

Hisashi couldn't help but smiled at his friend. One of the longest friends he had ever had. Prescious friends. And his behaviour would never change, and it never failed to bring smile on Hisashi's lips. "Gee, you two really are lover without any problem at all, ne"

Teru's eyes widened. "Oh, no, you don't know how the truth is! You want to know? It really annoys me when Takkun starts to…"

Sensing a coming rambling - long rambling, considering that it was from Teru - Hisashi quickly cut him off. "Yeah, you can tell me any other time, Tekko. Now out you go, coz I still have to think about the present for Jiro"

Teru smiled gently to his friend. "You'll find it soon, Hisa, " he assured him. "Afterall, you know Jiro-chan the best, ne? It won't take you a long time to find the right present"

Hisashi smiled back. "Thanks, Teru"

"Anytime" the vocalist grinned. "Now before you kick me out of the car, I'd better get going. Have a great Christmas' Eve, ne? And you *have* to spend the time with Jiro-chan! "

"Wakatta, wakatta"

Teru jumped out of the car, taking his coat and ag with him. "Oh, one more thing, Hisashi," he said before closing the door.

Hisashi raised his brow. "What is it?"

"MERRY CHRISTMAAAAS!!!!!!!!!!" Teru cheered.

Hisashi chuckled a litlle. "Yea, merry Christmas to you too, Teru teru bozu" he grinned.

Teru raised his brows at the nick Hisashi gave him then closed the door. And Hisashi sped away, waving a little to his friend, with a new determination set in his mind.

He had to buy a perfect gift for Jiro. He had to make their Christmas' Eve perfect.

* * *

Jiro walked along the pavement that was crowded full with people. He was walking quickly, but not in anger anymore, but rather in a rush to find a gift in time for Hisashi.

After doing the confession in the little room in the church, an after talking to the fatherly priest, he had considerably felt better. The anger had dissipated. The old man was right. Christmas was about joy. He shouldn't waste it away.

He would appologize to Hisashi, he had decided that after talking to the priest. He'd try to pushed away his pride for a moment, and appologize to Hisashi.

And with the appologize, he wanted to give Hisashi a perfect gift. He wanted to show his lover just how much he and their relationship meant to him.

But the thing was, he had been walking from one store to another but he hadn't found the right gift. He had came to the jewelery earlier, wanting to buy Hisashi a ring, knowing Hisashi's fondness of strange shaped ring. But it just didn't feel right.

Then he came to the computer store, to find a new iBook. But then Hisashi had already has the newest iBook on the store, and since Hisashi was much better in this computer knowledge, Jiro went against the idea to buy the specification of the computer. Besides, he wasn't really sure that it was a suitable present.

After a hell lot of consideration whether to buy his blue haired lover the newest style of contact lenses, or new guitar, or new sweater, or new high heel boots,or a hell lots of other new things, a nearly desperate Jiro came across a small but cute store that sell Christmas' ornaments.

He was staring at one particular Christmas' tree when the idea came to his mind.

Christmas' tree.

Why not? He remembered that in their business, they had forgotten to buy christmas' tree to decorate their apartment. Besides… he like the small Christmas' tree that was on the window of the shop. It was cute.

Jiro wasn't sure whether Hisashi would appreciate his taste since he loved anything cute. That was why he bought his Aibo dog. He wasn't sure if Hisashi liked something cute… usually, Hisashi liked something cool.

There should be something that can make the Christmas' tree looks cool, Jiro assured himself.

He pushed the shop's door open, making the bells above him jingled cheerfully.

"Good afternoon, sir," a young girl greeted him. "What can I help you?"

"Ah, I want to buy a Christmas' tree" Jiro smiled.

"Christmas' tree, sure, sir," the girl smiled. "Which one do you like? We have many variety, from the small one to the big one, from the elegant one to the cute one, from the chep one to the very expensive one"

"Anou~… is there any with a… um… cool style?" Jiro asked, blushing, praying that he wouldn't sound stupid.

The girl raised her brow. "The cool one?" she frowned.

"Ah, if there isn't any…"

"No, I'm sure we can find it for you," she said quickly. "Please wait for a moment, si… OHMIGOD!!! You're Jiro from GLAY!!!"

Jiro sweatdropped at the girl who now stared at him wide eyed with such adoration in her big eyes. "Uh, yeah, the one and the only, but… can you find my Christmas' tree really soon, please? I'm… in a hurry"

The girl snapped off her dazed state. "Su… sure!" she said the hurried to the back of the room.

After quite some times searching for the right Christmas tree, Jiro finally felt the pity to the girl who already looked so desperate. He decided to shifted his order from the cool-styled tree to the elegant-styled tree. He decided that it would suit Hisashi too, since Hisashi *was* elegant.

"And…um… could you please not put the star on the top now please? I'd like this person who I want to give this tree to to put it there" he smiled.

"Sure thing, anything for you, Jiro-san!" the girl beamed. She carefully wrapped the small tree into the box and handed to him. She told him the price and Jiro paid it.

"Take the change for you" he smiled.

"Ah-! Jiro-san… if it's not much… can I ask for your autograph?" she asked, blushing.

Jiro smiled gently. "Why not? It's Christmas anyway"

She beamed happily. "Thank you sosososososo much, Jiro-san! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas to you too," Jiro said back then walked out of the shop.

Now the next thing he should do was wait for Hisashi in their apartment then appologize.

* * *
Hisashi peeked into the box he was holding. Inside of the box was a small sized Christmas tree he planned to give to Jiro. He smiled to himself. He was so damn sure Jiro would like the gift.

He had found it accidentally, and staring at its cute decoration he had suddenly remembered of Jiro. That was why he bought it. He knew Jiro loved anything cute.

The sound of the lock being opened snapped Hisashi out of his thought and he quickly closed the box and put it on the sofa beside him.

It must be Jiro. Okay, now was the time. He would appologize to Jiro.

Not long after, Jiro walked into the livingroom. He stopped for a moment at the door before throwing the other man a small, nervous smile. "Hisa…"

Hisashi stood and walked towards Jiro. "Jiro…" he began, stopping in front of him. "Look, about the fight earlier-"

"Ah, about the fight, I-"

"No, listen to me first," Hisashi said quickly, putting his finger on Jiro's lips. "About the fight earlier… I'm sorry. I don't really remember who, but if it was me who started the fight, I'm sorry. I really, really am" He stared deep into Jiro's deep brown orbs. "Can you forgive me, please?"

Jiro couldn't stop the chuckle emanating from his mouth as he heard Hisashi's words. Those were pretty much the same thing he had been planning to say to Hisashi. "I was about to say the same thing too," Jiro smiled. "I'm sorry, ne, if I acted like a total ass today. Forgive me, ne, Hisa-chan?"

Hisashi chuckled too. He reached out to Jiro and kissed him lovingly. "You are forgiven, Jiro-chan" he said as he pulled away. "By the way, I have a present for you" he said, wlking to the sofa again.

"Eh? I have a present for you too!" Jiro said happily.

"Yeah?? Sit here, sit here," Hisashi said, patting the empty spot beside him on the sofa.

Jiro sat as he was told. "Okay, it's present time," he grinned. "Ready? One… two… three!!"

At the same time, Jiro and Hisashi gave the present they had to each other.

"Let's dig it!!!" Jiro said excitedly.

"You mean let's open it," Hisashi chuckled, already started to open the box.

"Whatever," Jiro said back and opened his present.

After the boxes were opened, both of them stared dumbfounded at their own present. They strared at each other and began to laugh at the absurdity of it. They both had small Christmas' tree now.

"I can't believe it," Hisashi said after his laughing subsidied.

"Me neither," Jiro chuckled. "Is it just a coincidence or do we really similar?"

"I guess both of them" Hisashi said, taking the blonde's hand in his. He kissed him gently. "Merry Christmas, koi"

"Merry Christmas to you too," Jiro smiled warmly. "Now will you put the star on the top of the tree and make a wish?"

Hisashi grinned. "After you, Jiro. I guess our line of thought are just so similar ne?"

"Damn right," Jiro said, staring at the small star in his hand in wonder. He set his Christmas tree on the table. "Let's see… hm… what if I wish that we would stop fighting?"

Hisashi raised his brows. "Jiro, I don't think that's possible. You see, the fighting thing has been like a bad habit now. It's running in our blood, there's nothing you can do about it"

Jiro chuckled. "I guess you're right. But I'm thankful that we always get back together after every fight"

"Yeah, me too"

"Okay so about my wish," Jiro said and then put the star on the top of the tree. "Star light, star bright… I wish that no matter what happen, we can always be together. I wish that I can spend everyday up to every Christmas that is to come with Hisa-chan. I wish I won't ever do something awful that can make him hate me and leave me," turning to Hisashi he asked, " am I asking too much?"

Hisashi smiled gently to his lover. "No, Jiro, you're not asking too much. Now it's my turn, ne?"

Hisahi put his star on the top of his tree. "Star light, star bright… I wish for what Jiro-chan just wished earlier. I wish that if I ever make him sad, I can always pay for it by making him happy again, more than before. I wish that I won't ever lose one of the greatest blessings I've ever had, my love for him and his love for me"

"That was pretty, Hisa-chan," Jiro smiled then leant back to the sofa, snuggled closer to Hisashi.

"Thank you," Hisashi grinned, putting his arm around his blonde lover.

"Ne, Hisa-chan…"

"Nani?"

"About the things I said earlier today when we are fighting… I'm lying, you know that right? When I said that I regreted I ever fell in love with you… actually the fact that I do fall in love with you is one of a few things that I will never regret ever, in my life"

Hisashi squeezed Jiro's arm gently. "I know that, Jiro," he smiled. "That was so like you when you get upset. You know that what I said about not asking you to put up with me was wrong either, right? Actually I'm damn lucky that you always put up with me"

Jiro looked up at Hisashi and grinned. "Do you realized that we are getting so mushy?"

"I know," Hisashi grinned back. "But it's Christmas time, so I guess it's okay ne?"

"I love you, you know? Very much so"

"I love you more, Yoshi-chan"

"I'm hungry," Jiro murmured. "It's a bad thing that I didn't do any reservation to our favorite restaurant…"

"Yeah… me too… forget to buy any food today. I guess I was just too busy thinking how to appologize"

"Is it possible to have delivery now?"

"Nuh uh… I think it's impossible," Hisashi said. "Now why don't we go to the kitchen and make something to eat? I'm sure we can make some decent food to eat out of the random things in the referigerator"

"Okay," Jiro smiled. "Ne, Hisa-chan," he said as Hisa pulled him to stand. "Do you think we have a pathetic Christmas?"

"Nope, this is one of my best Christmas ever"

"Thought so too" Jiro smiled. "Ne, wonder what Takkun and Tekko are doing now"

"Knowing Teru, before midnight, he will have seduced Takuro already"

Jiro laughed.

The pair walked into the kitchen, hand in hand, so much in love with each other.

Conversation wafted in the air with the love there, mingling together.

A pair of Christmas trees, different yet the same, sat side by side on the table, silently witnessing all things that happened there, every smile, every laughter, every word of affection, every gesture of infinite love.

Outside, the Christmas carols never stopped playing. The snow started to fall gently, kissing the earth that welcomed them. People on the street with smiles and happiness on their faces, ready to celebrate Christmas.

Joy to the world. Joy to everyone's heart.
