McKee Rock Crystal Center Bowl

McKee Glass Early American Rock Crystal Footed Console / Center Bowl

This Elegant large console or center bowl in sparkling Crystal was made by the McKee Glass Co., from 1922 through 1931 in the very popular Early American Rock Crystal floral pattern.

Listed and pictured in both books by Gene and Cathy Florence: Pocket Guide to Depression Glass and More, 1920s - 1960s, 14th Edition, 2005, on page 157 and Collectors Encyclopedia Depression Glass, 17th Edition, 2006, on page 191 - 193.

The extremely clear crystal glass rings nicely, indicating pre-war lead content, which gave greater clarity than post-war pieces. This age is consistant with the lack of any glow under long wave UV, and only a weak yellow glow under short wave UV.

In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs excellent pattern detail, and just a few scratches that are not noticable.
