Choice of paths

With a good hypertext document. Not only are there links within the document, but the possibility of including external links to, for example, the world wide web(www). Means the choice of paths, that can be followed is only as small as the readers imagination.

With links to other related subjects the reader can channel the information supplies into what ever they decide. By using the links and retracing their steps, (using the back option), a reader can obtain as much or as little about a subject that they desire.

This gives the user the option to stay on the first site, and gain all their information in one place. Or to visit many different sites to see what other people have to say on the subject.
