A good hypertext document follows a logical path with links and references to other sites and documents, which will enable the reader to find what he is looking for easily & logically.

A bad hypertext document has too much information crammed into it, often in an illogical manner. This causes the reader to quickly lose interest & start to roam away from what they are trying to do in the first place. Or even worse still to follow a link to another site and not want to come back to the original.
