World Wide Web

The WWW is the method with which the world's computers can "talk" to each other. Each computer, through a server & modem connection, is connected to the "Web". Users access the web using browsers installed in their PC's software. These browsers automatically recognise & convert the html into readable information.

With the use of search engines, users are able to search for sites/pages & news items, relevant to the subject they are interested in.

This is fast becoming one of the most powerful tools available in the workplace, or education. The facility to be able to connect to & interface with almost any company or establishment in the world, relatively cheaply, will greatly change the way we do business over the coming years.

In education, students today, have the means to gather information, for their studies, from some of the worlds most up to date sources. They also have the option with email, or using today's technology, i.e. net meetings, to have the chance to contact & ask questions of the biggest education establishments or business's.
