These are programmes which I have tried but retired. You may find some of them useful, so here are my reviews:

DatePlan off pre 99: 3KB SW V1.11 You can use nice symbols in a month view. Seems quite good, its author is engaged in a "You copied my code" dispute with the producer of a similar program which seems to have spurred both of them into improving their own programs. I've retired this until I decide which one is best and I've got the money to buy.
Kalk off pre 99: 31KB FW V1.0.1 Calculator with maths and statistical functions, the best freeware one I could find. The only snag is that you have to learn Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) to use it, but this is not too difficult. I have this mapped to the Calculator silkscreen button. I no longer use this because RPN is too much hassle when you use it infrequently.
QEdit off pre 99: 9KB FW V1.1T Editing big files on the PalmPilot seems like a good idea. However, installing an update to this caused my PalmPilot to crash. Subsequently AportisDoc crashed as well and eventually my Address book started crashing. I had to do a complete system reload. I have no proof that QEdit was to blame, but my problems seemed to start with it. The author's support was limited to an email reinforcing his disclaimer about crashes. I would not touch the such a high priced (and suspect) Shareware program!

BMonitor off pre 99: 14KB SW V1.6. Gives reasonable estimates of how much life left. The best application I know of which tracks how long you've had the PalmPilot switched on and which automatically detects battery change. Could not bring myself to pay out money that I am saving by using rechargeable batteries.
ChAppName off pre 99: 6KB FW Changes application names in the online database. If and when your application picker rescans the database it will display and resort using this new name. A must if you use 4 or 5 columns of applications in Launchpad or AppMan. I never used it though!
Clip ViewApril 99 Find!: 2KB FW V0.1 Shows what's in your Clipboard/Paste Buffer. Would be very much more useful if the changes you make to the text displayed in ClipView changed the Clipboard's contents.

These programs are extensions to the operating system. For them to run they need the Hackmaster program to be installed.

Fire Escape Find!: 10KB FW 0.97 Beta Save babies from the burning building - fun for little ones.
Maze Race off Jan 99: 9KB FW V0.1 For the Children, beat the computer opponent who is solving the maze from the other direction they didn't play on it, hence retirement.
Mole Hill April 99 Find!: 9KB FW V1.0 A little maze game that is quite good fun, and which has some amusing Mole graphics. The help text claims that the mine collapses on you after you rescue the last mole, but it never happens to me. Good for older children.
Palm SFCave off pre 99: 7KB FW V0.02 For the Children, rather boring so retired.
PocketRace off pre 99: 12KB FW 28/8/97 Too boring for me.
Tronic off pre 99: 4KB FW V1.0 For the Children (a shareware version is now out). Too boring.

SubHunt off pre 99: 18KB 3C V2.0 Once you realise the best tactic is to lay as many depth charges as possible it gets too boring.

Rally 1000 off pre 99: 20KB FW V2.0 Many people rave about this, but I could never be bothered to figure out how to play it.
RPS! Find!: 6KB FW V0.1 The classic Rock Paper Scissor game: Scissors cut Paper, Paper covers Rock, Rock breaks Scissors.

Eliza off Jun 99: 17KB FW Amazingly enough you can carry a psychoanalyst around in your PalmPilot. Astound your friends for a brief time. I found that after a while inputing the text gets a little tedious.
Moon Phase Find!: 25KB FW V1.5 Sometimes for scouting events it's nice to know how full the moon will be.
Morse Code Find!: 4KB FW Another one for scouting: translates text into code, with 5 graduations of key speed.
RollEm off Jan 99: 2KB FW 7 Sep 96 Use it to play games requiring dice. It provides a configurable number of sides to the dice and number of dice in use. Well worth considering, especially for role playing games.
WPM off pre 99: 9KB FW V0.95 It rather frustrates me how low my scores are compared to touch typing. It does provide a good indication of how well you are progressing with Graffiti. Retired, because I was no longer interested in knowing.
