FW Free Ware (thanks authors!) SWShareware (with what I paid) KB Size in KiloBytes 3C 3Com supplied V Version (or date if none given) The date after the application name is when I retired it.
For convenience I use the following categories: (all links refer to this page)
23KB FW V2.1 With this you can read documents on line, there are a range of books and short stories available on the Internet which you can download and use this program to read. The freeware version only allows a limited number of documents (7?) but I never have more than this loaded so as to save on space. C Spot run has far more features, no restriction and is smaller.
CurrEx
off pre 99
4KB FW V2 Bare bones general conversion utility, good for foreign currency or anything for which you have the conversion factor. Replaced by Units which is far superior, you can store any number of Currency conversion factors in Units, plus it has a big library of Metric, Imperial and US conversions.
ShopList
off pre 99
39KB FW V1.01 A reasonable shopping database. A few features need ironing out, I think that Handy Shopper is far better though.
Tiny Sheet
54KB SW $10 V1.20b (evaluating) It seems to do all that I want for $40 less than QuickSheet. HOWEVER: I managed to crash it badly (with a circular reference?) After this the offending spreadsheet crashed the PalmPilot every time it was loaded. Even worse, the Backup Buddy backups I had taken would not restore onto the PalmPilot. So, use with caution and backup any spreadsheets via memopad. I suspect that the author is not supporting or upgrading this program. You can no longer pay for it via Pilot Gear. I never got a response to my email on the crash. Superceded by MiniCalc
3KB FW V1.0 No documentation with this, it changes the battery type to NiCd and changes the Warning and shutdown levels to 2.1V and 2.0V respectively. I deleted thisr software because I found BatPanel more useful. Because BatPanel is a Hack it reinstalls automatically after a crash, Accu4Pilot does not. Since my PalmPilot does crash from time to time I find BatPanel more useful, I kept forgetting to set Accu4Pilot after resets.
BMeter
off pre 99
5KB FW V1.1 I used it to change the warning and shut off levels. This is important for my NiCds since they plunge dramatically at around 2 volts. Replaced by BatPanel.
DigiChek
off pre 99
4KB FW V0.1 My digitiser seems to drift too, I have yet to work out why. I suspect that it is temperature changes leading to small differences in resistance of the grid positioning system. Retired because Scribble shows alignment well enough.
