STEP 4...
Next I start laying out the tape for the graphics.I used 8 inch transfer tape that I bought at a local sign shop. They make this stuff in different widths all the way up to 48 inches wide ! I thought that an 8 inch roll was enough for me and besides,it was a partial roll and I got it for 5 bucks ! SEE FIGURE 4...

STEP 5...
After I got alot of the masking done (not all of it) I started drawing out the checkered flag ribbon outline with a #2 pencil and a metal ruler.SEE FIGURE 5..

STEP 6...
I finished masking off the hood scoop with green 3M Scotch 233+ (2 inch wide ) tape because I couldn't use the 8 inch tape for this, too many wrinkles. I used my star template to draw the stars and letter stencils for the small letters on the sides of the hood scoop.I freehanded the flames and Tony's Airbrushing on the hood scoop. After I finished drawing the graphics I used my #11 exacto knife and carefully cut out my designs.I cut out the entire design, changing blades frequently, once you have to start pressing down hard to make a cut,it is time to change blades so you do not cut into the paint. Then I removed all the tape for the white areas to be painted first.SEE FIGURE 6...
