Tony and Anthony started writing songs together and teamed up with Anthony's cousin Kelly. Throw Dustin into the mix and you've got the earliest incarnation of Junebug. Kelly later left the band and Stu played with them for a brief time.
In the summer of 1999, Tony joined Fed By Doris. In 2000, he recorded an EP with Aberdeen-based Clöwn. Also in 2000, Tony joined Will Brown on a two-man acoustic project - The Blue Orange which later grew into an indie rock band consisting of four members. In 2002, Fed By Doris broke up and Junebug started a short haitus. The members of Fed By Doris came back from the dead and haunted briefly as los hermanos muertos.
Tony independently released his first solo album (Drama Queen) in 2000, And continued with DIN (2001), Time to Go (2002), Horrid Little Man (2002), barefoot on asphalt (2003), and Friends Long Absent...
