This was one of my better gigs, I feel. It was the release for my new CD, barefoot on asphalt. For the first set, I played the album (except for "The Life and Times of Our Back Porch"...my fingers were getting sore). It seemed to go over pretty well and I enjoyed it. I sold a few copies as well as copies of Time to Go.

The second set was a random assortment of songs that I usually play as well as some covers I've never played; a couple Johnny Cash tunes. These were played in preparation for the big Tribute to Johnny Cash coming up on October 11th.

I hereby announce that I enjoy playing for crowds at the Red Rooster Coffee House.

As a post-script: Thanks to everyone who came and paid money. I used the proceeds to make a nice trip to the grocery store immediately after the show. My tummy is full and my cupboard isn't bare thanks to all of you. You have my sincerest gratitude.
