Today was the Bicycle Spectacle! People brought their bicycles and wore their spectacles, and it was a good turnout. We ended up riding our bikes out to Wylie Park and back. We started out with roughly 25 riders and ended up with only six! Where did they all go? Only history will tell.
I decided that with this set, I wanted to play some songs that I haven't played live before, like "Horrid Little Man" and "In Memory of Talford". Not only that, but I played a couple new ones that no one has heard before, "Still Waiting" and another one that is, as of today, untitled.
It went pretty well. Except that at the beginning of "Talford" Bruce took a bite that was WAY too big and started choking. It turned out he was okay though and the show continued. I played the long version of "Day 9" today. Which basically just means that I sang the last part twice...the second time with more gusto. Woo.
I even sold a CD today. The guy who bought it said something about the crowd at the Cove being exposed to it. That is, the Pirate's Cove, a local strip joint. I'm not too sure my music would really fit in with that whole scene. Nothing at all against the people, mind you, but I just can't picture ladies dancing to my songs. But I guess time will tell, eh?
