Introduction

Did you know that a screw is a machine? Yes, really, it is! It's a simple machine!

Task

1. You will learn about the different kinds of simple machines. 2. You will find out what a complex machine is. 3. You will print a worksheet to complete as you do the activities. 4. You will take the test to see just what you've learned!

The Process

1. Print the worksheet found here. 2. Go to this on-line glossary to read about simple machines. Check to see if any of your worksheet questions can be answered from this page. 3. Check out this resource chart for examples of simple machines. 4. Go to Edheads webpage and click on the green button that says. "Click Here to Start." Be sure to visit the House    and the Tool Shed to find the answers to your worksheet questions! 5. Print the test to see how much you've learn!
