What's going on: Syaoran decides to try looking in America b/c he has a feeling Sakura might be there. More precisely, he's in Washington State (NOT Washington DC!). I've also decided he'll be in Seattle just b/c that's what everyone thinks of when they hear "Washington". Annoying habit for them to have, don'tcha agree? And don't ask me why or how he has the feeling, he just does! You can tell I can't come up with a very good excuse for this unexpected turn of events, can't you? *smile* Oh, and let's pretend Syaoran can speak perfect English. Hey, he knows magic, doesn't he?!
"Excuse me, sir, but why are you sitting on the ground like that?" The guy looked up as Syaoran asked this.
"The name's Fred Hobodude and I'm sittin' here 'cause I ain't got nothin' better to do," he answered. "Who're you?"
"My name is Syaoran," came the reply. "I'm looking for someone."
"Would that someone's name be 'Sakura'?" asked Fred. Syaoran gave him a look of pure shock.
"Do you know where she is?" asked a very excited Chinese boy.
"No, don't know where she is. I'm here to help you find her. Know who took her." The hoboman's eyes met Syaoran's as he said this. "His name's Jack Page. No idea why he took your girlfriend, though."
"She's not my girlfriend," Syaoran corrected. Fred Hobodude rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
"So, if he doesn't have any motives, why does he have Sakura?" Everyone's favorite hoboman gave Syaoran a 'look'.
"Oh, he's got motives. Just don't know why he's got the girl," explained Fred as he held up a little book. "He's after power and cookies."
"Power and...cookies?" Syaoran was puzzled. He could understand the power part, but cookies?!
"Jack's always been a strange guy."
"Sakura...aishiteru..." Syaoran whispered to the night sky.
