Syaoran watched in dispair as Sakura gave her boyfriend, Mamoru, a kiss goodbye before walking over to him.
"Hey, Syaoran! So, what'd you want to tell me?" It was all he could do to keep himself blurting out that he loved her.
"I sensed a Clow Card nearby," he reported.
"I sensed it, too," she said. "I just didn't want to say anything while Mamoru was around. I think it's in the park."
"Uh, yeah. Let's go," he somehow managed to say. Sakura got her wand out and they walked to (King?) Penguin Park and looked around for the card. Suddenly, a little boy ran up to them.
"Hello, Card Mistress," he said to Sakura. The two card captors' eyes widened.
"You're the Clow Card?" Sakura asked incredulously. The boy then changed into a police officer.
"Tell you what, Card Mistress," he said. "If you can figure out which card I am, I'll let you capture me." Just as Sakura began wracking her brain for which card it could be, Mamoru walked by with a giggling blond hanging on his arm. Forgetting all about the Clow Card standing in front of her, she walked over to where Mamoru was. Syaoran watched with great interest.
"Hey, Clow Card, any chance of making some popcorn appear?" The card, now in the form of a cute li'l puppy, nodded and a bucket of butter popcorn (nummy!) appeared in Syaoran's arms.
"Chiba Mamoru, how could you?!" She yelled. (author: *LOL* Gomen, I couldn't help myself!) Mamoru looked at her with a very shocked expression.
"Mamoru, who's this girl?" Sakura glared at the blond.
"I'm Kinomoto Sakura, Mamoru's girlfriend. And you are?" The blond looked surprised for a second.
"I'm Sumire Hana, Mamoru's fiancee," she answered. Syaoran continued to munch on his popcorn as he watched the fireworks. Both girls turned to face Mamoru.
"Now, girls...Let's be rational about all this," he said.
"I'm sick of being rational!" yelled Sakura. "We're through, you lying dweeb!" With that, she slapped him and walked back over to where Syaoran was.
"Hana?" Mamoru nervously asked. Hana was glaring swords at him.
"We're through, too, you idiot JERK!" Having said that, she threw off her engagement ring and stalked off.
"No reason. Eh heh heh..." Sakura just blinked. "Well, are you going to guess which card I am now?" asked a brick wall.
"Let's see...I already have the Change Card, so you can't be that one. Hmmm..." Syaoran looked at her.
"OH! Sakura, while you were gone, it changed into a puppy, a dragon, and a knight."
"Hoe...Those would be great disguises if we were in medieval times. Matte!" She then turned to the Clow Card standing before her. "You're the Disguise Card!" The card simply nodded and changed into its true form. (author: there is NO way WHATsoever that I am going to try and describe what it looks like!) Sakura lifted her sealing wand and chanted the sealing phrase.
"Oh, hey, Syaoran," she said weakly. Syaoran frowned.
"Are you okay?" She smiled up at him.
"Hai, I'll be fine," she assured him. Syaoran wasn't convinced.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Hai, hai, I'm sure," she said. "I never really liked him anyway. I just went out with him because I was so sure the one guy I like would never like me back. Arigato for your concern, Syaoran."
"Sakura, wo ai ni!" Sakura looked at him with startled emerald eyes. His amber eyes were filled with so much love and honesty, she almost cried.
"Aishiteru, Syaoran!" She couldn't hold it back anymore, a tear slipped from her eye. Syaoran gently brushed away the tear before leaning down to give her a gentle kiss.
'If this is heaven, I wouldn't be surprised,' he thought to himself.
