"Molly! You'll get my pants all dirty! You stupid dog!" she said as she patted the senile dog's head. "But I love you anyway." She walked into the house with Molly happily trailing behind her.
"Hey, look! It's the monster and the mutt!" Sakura's older brother was SUCH a pain!
"I'm NOT a monster, Touya no baka! And Molly's a purebred!" With that, she angrily kicked Touya in both shins.
"YEOUCH!!!"
"Okay, sweetie. I'll get right on it," her dad replied. Molly wandered back outsided to lay down in the sun. Sakura went upstairs as her father headed out the door. A few moments later, she heard someone pounding on the door. She ran down the stairs and looked out the window only to see her lazy dog taking a nap outside in front of the door and her father quickly getting out of the car. Worried that something might be wrong, Sakura opened the door.
"What's wrong, dad?" she asked.
"Sakura, I backed into the dog with the car. I think I killed her," he told her. Sakura bent to look at Molly a little more closely.
"Molly? Dad, I think she's dead!" she cried. "No, wait! She's moving!" They put Molly [who was bleeding internally (she had blood coming out of her mouth)] in a box over a towel and drove to the nearest vet. On the way there, though, Molly stopped moving.
"Dad, she's dead!" exclaimed a sobbing Sakura. When they reached the vet's, they were told what Sakura already knew: Molly had already died. Sakura's father did his best to comfort her, but there would be no way to bring Molly back. Sakura immediately began regretting all the times she yelled at the little dog, didn't hold her, or didn't tell Molly she loved her. All Sakura could do was cry.
