As this page specifies in its title, this page is mainly about DBZ, so I can provide little info about Goku as a child from Dragon Ball, but I can tell you about how he got to Earth and how he grew up. All I have right right now is Dragon Ball and up to the beginning of the Freeza Saga. That will change as soon as I update the biography again. I hope you like my site and thanks for visiting.
As a baby on the planet Vegeta, a planet consisting of the race called Saiyans, Goku was born and sent to Earth by the Planet Trade to conquer it and name it in the name of Freeza, but when Goku got to Earth a man named Gohan found him in his space shuttle and decided to raise him. One day while they were walking, Gohan dropped Goku as he was struggling, because he was a ruthless, cruel mean, child that did everything in a evil manner.
When Goku fell, he hit his head at the bottom of a cliff. Being a Saiyan, Goku was unharmed, but he forgot his mission to destroy Earth and was a good child. He grew up and protected Earth from that day on. He would call Gohan, Grandpa Gohan, because he was so old. On one terrible day, Goku looked at a full moon. When Saiyans look at a full moon they turn into huge ape like monsters. As a child, a Saiyan can't control their thoughts in this stage because of the extreme power. While on his rampage destroying everything, he accidently kills Gohan. With no one to parent him he uses the martial art skills that Gohan taught him to live in the wild fending for himself. After he woke up from the transformation which caused so much damage, Goku had his tail removed. When Goku grows up he marries a woman named Chi Chi and they have a son named Gohan. This is the end of Dragon Ball.
In the very begining of DBZ, Goku and the gang are encountered by Goku's older brother Raditz, who comes from space to take Goku away calling him Kakerott. He asked why Goku hadn't taken over the planet yet and they got into a huge argument. Raditz then asked Goku if he was dropped on the head as a baby and he replied yes. Then Raditz understands why Goku is on the side of good. He tells him to never mind and to come with him to outer space so he can get help so they can take over other planets for the Planet Trade. Goku refuses and this is when the battle begins. Although he hates Goku, Piccolo shows up to help. They have about a 2 to 5 episode battle and they end up killing Raditz. Goku had to hold him while Piccolo fired a massive attack that shot through Raditz stomach out his back and then the same to Goku, which killed them both. This is when Piccolo turns good realizing that he never wanted to kill Goku in that way, and not understanding why he ever hated him, and turned good. When Goku dies he goes to another dimension where Kami sets up his departure for Snake Way to King Kye's place for special training because two saiyans even more powerful then Raditz are on their way to earth to take revenge for his death, (which they called a chicken weakling) and also to use the dragon balls. It takes Goku about 1 year to make it across Snake Way and get to King Kye's, there is one week left until the Saiyans from space arrive on earth. King Kye trains Goku and that is when he learns the Kayo Ken attack and the Spirit Bomb. About one week goes by and Goku is ready to go back. Master Roshi wishes Goku back and it takes him two days to get to earth, (his speed increased incredibly during King Kye's training) however Goku departed a day late and it only took the Saiyans one day to reach earth. When Goku finally gets back to earth, Piccolo had trained Gohan, and Yamcha, Tien, Chowzu, and Piccolo were all sent to the next dimension by Nappa, one of the Saiyans. Krillen and Gohan were the only ones left and were about to be sent into the next dimension themselves. Goku starts with Nappa, the one who did all the damage and finishes him like he was nothing. Then he fights Vegeta, who is even stronger than Nappa, and wins using the Kayo Ken and Spirit Bomb attacks (Veggeta doesn't die). After the battle they send Krillen, Gohan, and Bulma to Namek to find the Dragon Balls there to wish their friends back. When they get there there is big trouble so Goku has to take off for space to be the hero once more.
