Join Now!Welcome to the Largest Community of Roleplayers in the World!

The RPGA Network has members all over the planet, and it's growing fast. Why is that so great? Because roleplaying games aren't the same without friends, and friendship is what the RPGA is all about. We're a community of gamers who share common interests and experiences. Sure, we all love the gaming groups we play in week in and week out, but we've taken our hobby to the next level: We share our games and our favorite characters with thousands of other players, and we join in campaigns that run from pole to pole. Sound like fun? Join us!

What are the RPGA Membership Benefits?

Of course, we've just told you about the greatest benefit of RPGA Network membership -- the community of people who understand and share your love for roleplaying games. Through our website chat rooms and message boards, at our conventions and game days, you can connect with thousands of other gamers and share your stories, ideas, opinions, and hobby. Lifelong friendships abound in the RPGA.

But that's just for starters! Every member receives a membership card and a member's handbook, and there are lots of great perks beyond that:

Benefits of the RPGA Network LivingŪ Campaigns

Imagine a campaign setting where PCs outnumber NPCs, and you're thinking about a Living campaign! If you don't know anything about Living campaigns, you can learn a lot more about each one by clicking on "Campaigns" in the left navigation links near the top of the page, but here's the basic idea: In a home campaign, you generate a player character (PC) and roleplay it week after week with your friends, while in a Living campaign you generate a PC and roleplay it year after year with the entire RPGA Network! You might think of a Living campaign as something like EverQuest or Ultima On-line, in that thousands of players are all active in the same game at the same time, as opposed to segregated into separate, unconnected worlds. However, in a Living campaign your four or five fellow players are sitting around the table with you, sharing the game, maybe some food, and definitely some friendship.

Whether your character sticks with the same adventuring group or moves from party to party, you can take that PC to many RPGALiving events all over the world, sit right down, start rolling dice, and you'll accrue experience and treasure as though you had done it all right at home. In some Living campaigns, the overall story moves forward through a sort of majority consensus, and in others the real world is divided into regions, with each affecting region affecting its own part of the game world.

Classic Adventures

Some players simply like a "fire and forget" roleplaying game, where the DM hands you a character you've never seen and four hours later you walk away with good memories -- and maybe some new friends. The RPGA provides those too. We call them "classics." If you love the challenge of inventing a PC personality off the cuff and making roleplaying itself the main point of sitting at the gaming table, then classics are for you.

Another advantage of the classic adventure is that it doesn't require you to dedicate hours, weeks, months, and/or years to playing in Living games, or to keep track of detailed stories. The Classics program is designed to keep you in the community with essentially no player prep work at all. If you don't have a lot of time for a campaign, or if your group can't get together this week, then RPGA Classics might be just the thing.

Interactives

Ever simply feel like pretending to be your favorite PC all night? At RPGA Interactives, our members dress in costumes and socialize (and sometimes dramatize) with one another. Interactives generally don't involve combat, but they often involve intrigue. Just come, and be someone other than yourself for awhile while having a good time.

Scenario Library

We produce hundreds of game scenarios each year, and our members have access to them for less than the cost of the average store-bought adventure. Better still, our guild-level members themselves write adventures for the scenario library, and we even pay them for it! (Actually, we pay for Wizards-trademarked games only, but we accept scenarios for any game system out there.)

Other Benefits

We're constantly seeking new ways to benefit our members. As we add new ones or discontinue old ones, we'll let you know via Polyhedron, our website, email, RPGA Clubs, and any other way we can think of. If you have ideas about things you'd like to see in the RPGA community, let us know! We're here for the members, so we'll do whatever we can to make the RPGA more valuable to you.
