Go Onto Old News 2
{My god, it's only been a few hours!}
I know, but I thought I'd put those pictures up. Although, I'm also watching the womens Shooting (olympics), and the Suzanne Balogh (Aussie) is winning in the final, but could lose.
{But she's about three shots in front with four shots to go!!!}
One down, if she hits the next one (third last), she definately wins the gold!
{It's so exciting! I wish I had pants so I could wet them!}
AUSTRALIA WON!!! Yay for Suzanne!!! Yay for us!
{Woo hoo!!! Now it's just up to the others to decide who gets Silver and Bronze.}
*Watching...*
Australia - Gold
Spain - Silver
South Korea - Bronze
{Interesting note: The commentator said that the South Korean started the competition in last place, and now she's won the Bronze. Also, Suzanne won by four shots!}
I'd put up the women's names, except that I didn't see them. Now that that's finished...
{...and we won!}
...yes, and we won, It's time to look at the Donkey Konga congos.
Of course, there's a cord leading from the back to plug into the console.
*Reading script*{What is. That in the mid..dle of the. Congos.}
I'm glad you asked, Tootie!
*Rolls eyes*
That bit int the middle, apart from holding the two congas together and holding the start button, is a little microphone to pick up a clap.
{So that gives you another way to input into the game?}
Yes. There's the left conga, right conga, both at once, and clap.
{Sounds like a way of discriminating against people (and socks) with only one arm (or none).}
Don't worry, I won't beat you... too hard!
*Sigh* {Let's move onto the DS}
This is the Nintendo DS, with the two screens.
*Reading again*{Which. One is the touch... whoops, screen.}
The bottom one (I think), judging from the game trailers I've been downloading recently (from Game Trailers!) It comes with a pen-thing...
{It's called a 'stylis', Paul. I mean, get with it.}
That's all for now, cause Mat wants to play Paper Mario on the computer.
{How can he play it on the computer when it's a N64 game?}
We've got an emulator (Project 64). that's about the only game we use it for, cause it's not perfect (a computer pretending to be a N64), and our computer is a bit slow, anyway.
{You'll jsut have to wait until Xmas}
Yes. K. Bye everyone!
Ok! I'm done re-cafoobaling the energy motron! Or whatever!

Ok, since Fiona went and posted on the guestbook that I haven't been updating the site enough, I've decided to do a quick update at Uni, when I've got a small amount of free time.
{It has been over a month, hasn't it?}
It has been a while, but this will waste a bit of time before lunch.
{Your favorite subject isn't it?}
You bet your ass! This time I will try to update a bit more often, even if it is only at uni.
I started another review for a game, Skies of Arcadia: Legands, but I haven't finished it yet.
{Didn't you start it ages ago, but then give up on it?}
Maybe... I like to do games (or should that be game?) that I've finsihed (even if it isn't completely thrashed) and I was cruising on that game at that time, but I got stuck and I don't think I've played it since.
{So you got stuck and gave up?}
Pretty much.
{Any other games in the pipeline, if you get time?}
I've thought of doing a few GameBoy Advance games (Metroid: Zero Mission, Mario Golf: Advance Tour) and a few more GameCube games (Sonic Adventure DX, F-Zero GX, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour). Also, I was thinking of redo-ing or at least adding to the Viewtiful Joe review, cause it was a bit "OMG, LOL, OMFG!!!" type stuff and I wanted to try to be a bit more analytical.
{You did seem a bit enthusiastic.}
It was/is a good game, don't get me wrong, but I think it could definately have a better review. What does everyone else think? Would people read the reviews if I wrote them? Should I bother? Put your thoughts on the guestbook! that's what it's there for!
{Awww, don't say that! You'll create more work for me!}
You've got nothing else to do. Also, what games are people looking forward to? I know I'm looking forward to Donkey Konga, Paper Mario 2, and anything on the Nintendo DS.
{Don't you have pictures of the DS, and the Donkey Konga bongos?}
Yes, but they're at home, and I'm now at uni. For those that find Tootie's last question confusing, Donkey Konga is a rhythm game, like Dance Dance Revolution, except this game comes with bongos.
{Or you couldl use the control pad.}
Yeah, but it would be so much better with the bongos. It's out in Japan, not yet out in America, and is supposed to come out in Europe, which means that it should be coming to Australia!!! Hurray!
{And what is the Nintendo DS, for the not-knowing people out there.}
It is another hald-held that Nintendo is releasing that will have two screens. and one of them will be touch sensitive! I think it's in response to the Sony PSP, but they will be coming out at similar times.
{Hey, isn't is close to lunch time?}
It is. So I think I'll finish this off, and post those pictures later.
I'm Bender, baby! Please insert liquor!

Yay! I've finished exams!!!!!!
{Now that you've got that out of the way...}
I'm feeling so much better now. So much so that I finally put up a real review!
{You finally decided to update the part of the site that is yours alone. While I have to update this by myself.}
Pretty much. If you had exams then i'd do your stuff. Not that you do much...
{Hey! Just put the links up already...}
Alright: Viewtiful Joe is the first game that I have reviewed, and if I have some more spare time, i.e. not working, then I'll hopefully do a few more, namely 'Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life' and 'Harvest Moon: Freinds of Mineral Town' for GCN and GBA respectively.
{You really like 'Harvest Moon' don't you?}
Well, I would've got it on the 64, except that it wasn't released outside the US or Japan.
{That didn't stop you downloading the Rom}
Yeah... That took a damn long time!
{Hey, what's with the new banner thing at the very top of the screen?!?}
I was wondering when you were going to notice that...
{"The only place where I can safely talk to myself!"? That's not very nice! Just because I'm a pink sock doesn't mean that I don't have feelings... That's it. I'm leaving!
Oops. He left. Oh, well. All the more for me. I didn't get to tell him that the rating system for my reviews is out of 5 pink socks... 5=Best ever!, 0=Complete and utter shite! Anyway, I just want to say Good luck Mathew! for his hockey team at the Victorian hockey center, or someting (Mat's my brother. He's a goalie!) and also Get the damn internet, Simon!!! Simon doesn't (yet) have the internet, so he can't visit my {our} fantastic site. Apparently he's getting it soon, so here's hoping! That's all for now, I have to play more games and then review them!
I'm Bender, baby! Please insert liquor!

{Howdy everybody! It's Tootie here, since Paul has to do revision for his exams that start next week. Heh, heh, heh... I'm only here cause he insisted that I put this Dilbert comic up, merely because it 'reminded' him of Woolley (the last square mainly, not the first two). His actual words were "Look Tootie, I have to study, so you'll have to put it up, you insignificant little sock! Mwah hah hah hah hah!!!" Well maybe not, but that's more exciting, isn't it? That's all I have for now, cause I can't be stuffed thinking up anything else, and it's not as fun without Paul to argue with, so I'll just put the comic up, and hopefully you'll get a better update after Paul finishes his exams.}
"Bender, are you jacking on in there?"
{No Paul, just Tootie!}
9:39pm 9/06/04
Ok, so I created another 'Old' file, to stop the one already there from getting too big,
{'cause Paul heard that if it's too big, it won't work, right Paul?}
I hope you're talking about files, Tootie. Yes. Also, I put up a test review (It's not an actual review) just to see if I could actually code (in HTML) the file structure I was hoping to use, and it looks like I can!
{'Huzzah's are in order... Huzzah.}
It's alright for you Tootie, you don't have to maintain this web page...
{No, but I get to joke about you having to do it!}
Damn. Anyway, after buying the new Tripod CD, called Fegh Maha,
{Ask him what it stands for!}
No, don't. Cause I don'thave a clue. If anyone does, mention it on the guestbook. Ummm... where was I? Oh, yes! I bought the CD! It's really funny! My favorite song is 'The Hot Dag Man',
{Mine's 'Target'!}
They're all so good, so I put up a short, really funny one to get the point accross really quickly that the CD is worth it.
{I think you just didn't want to have to wait ages for it to load, or take up too much space, cause you've already deleted both the flash animations you had.}
They were just too big, and were blocking the potential of the site to grow. So it's an added benefit that the file is small and I have a really crap dial-up line. Blame Telstra. The song is called My Best Friend's Comin', and the link is just there or on the Links Page as well. That's all for now. I really will get some reviews in soon! I promise!
{Yeah, just like you promised to clean me every once in a while...}
Sooner or later, Tootie, sooner or later. Also, you might have noticed that Tootie added an extra question to the guestbook.
{Ahem. You made me add it! "How did you find this site?" or some bullshit. You only want to know how people got to your site!}
It would be nice to know. You'd become more popular!
{Start signing the guestbook, people, I'm becomin' a STAR!}
OK then... That's all people! Got to go!
"La, la, la, and Bender is great!"

Hi, not much time, at uni, just cleared up a bit opf space from my GeoCities account by deleting the Tripod flash and Weird Al flash. It was good to have them on the site, but they took up too much room and it's better to view them at their original site (not to mention that i was probalbly breaking copyright laws, bah!) Also, put a review page... Well, the hub page where you would access all the reviews if there were any reviews at the moment. None yet, cause I ran out of tiem at uni. Got to pick up my brother from his drum lessons, and take him to the bowling alley. Anyway,as soon as i get a few more muinutes (*which might be a while since I have exams coming up) I'll put at least one revew just so the page isn't sitting therre idle (which it probably would be anyway). That's all, got to run!
Running a bit late!
Just Pauly this time!

I'm at uni
{again...}
doing this when I should be studying
{again...}
but at least this time I don't have any assignments due
{again... wait! D'oh!}
and I only come on to say:
even if most of their internal links don't work (last time I went there).
{Which happened to be at uni during a boring period...}
That's uncredible!

I'd like to say hi to Lance, who left a message on the guestbook, after downloading a song off em on KaZaA (That was me, unless someone else has my website as their username) What song was it?
{Does it really matter, Paul?}
No, But I thought that it might be interesting to know.
{In case you hadn't found them, there are a few songs from SkitHOUSE that Tripod did. They're on the Tootie's Links page.}
That's a good point Tootie. Everyone can download them! I recommend Fear of Shorts!
{I think Boobs is better!}
You would... Anyway, I need to get back to work on my Marketing assignment {His last one, so maybe he'll update more often}, and then no more assignemnetS!!! Until next semester... Also, I'd just like to say hi to everyone that wished me a happy birthday! Thank you! Bye for now!
{Bye, y'all!}
That's uncredible!

I know it's been a few weeks, but here I am again updating the page. At uni. Again. Instead of doing assignments. Again.
{You sure don't like doing assignments, do you Pauly?}
Not that much, but I still have to do them anyway.
{Incase anyone doesn't know, I'm Tootie the sock puppet. I sabotaged the last update and I'll be popping in and adding comments every now and then.}
Thanks, Tootie. I'm sure all the people out there needed to know that... I'm not being sarcastic {For once} and I'll get aeround to putting your picture up...
{I'm guessing later rather than sooner...}
Errr... yes. Anyway, I'll be doing this for a few posts and if doesn't look like it's working with Tootie, he's gone!
{And if it doesn't work out with Pauly, he's gone!}
Sure, Tootie... Anyway, incase anyone didn't notice, and to save confusion in the future, if Tootie pops up in the middle of a sentence {Like this} it's showing Tootie's thoughts, however when we start a new line {Like has been happening previously} it's like we're 'talking' to each other. I can also 'think' while he's talking {He wishes!}, and that's it!
{It's meant to mimmick Al Lowe talking to Leisure Suit Larry in the LSL hint book}
except that since this is html, I can change the text easier. Don't forget to sign the guestbook, and Tootie might pop over there every now and again.
{That's my domain, computer boy!}
Speaking of computer boy...
I didn't know talking to myself was so much fun! If I knew it was this much fun I would've done this earlier!
{Paul, whadda you mean 'talking to yourself'? I'm real!!!}
sure Tootie, you're real (Pfffft!) {Bastard!} Anyway, now that I've introduced the conceot of Tootie, I think that that's enough for today.
{Yeah, wou'd better get into those assignemtns}
don't remind me... {Too late!} OK! That's it for now! See you all later!
That's uncredible!

Once again i'm at uni, updating my webpage when i could be doing my assingments {He, he! I underlined 'ass'!}). Two are due in next week: Accounting (pretty much done, just tweaking), and Marketing (about half done, re-draft, put into report structure). With both of these i feel that i have so much time to waste that i can write a message in cyberspace! Isn't it cool.
One thing that has been annoying me about Uni, is that Acrobat Reader has decided that i'm not allowed to save PDF files to my Hard Drive space at uni, so i sent an enquiry to ITS (Info Tech Services) via some e-mail form thingy. That was last week sometime and they still haven't got back to me, not even to say "Ha! Ha! You suck, loser!" like Warby would... Although now that I think about it, that wouldn't be very good, but I could probaly get the person who sent that fired if they sent it to me, and that would amuse me for a while to take my mind off impending assignments {I did it again, and no-one suspects a thing!!!}.
I'm sitting here in the computer room at uni, which doesn't allow eating or drinking in the rooms (I htink), and someone has left a large not-quite-empty bottle of water with no lid!!@! Next to coputers!!! How stupid can you be??? Enough with the punctuation!?~
I bought a GCN memory card on eBay the other day, and the person just left feedback today so i assume it's in the mail {I, Tootie Hand, am so smart to get away with this!!!}. It's the 251 block one, black, and I got it cause our other one is full which is probaly mostly from having the Animal Crossing (60 and 54-ish respectively) although I had to delete the sims cause I bought another game (Beyond Good & Evil) and it takes up 54 i think. Why do some games take up so much memeory and others take up so little? Other eBay activities include: I was bidding on Skies of Arcadia, a game that was ported from Dreamcast to GameCube, but some person of questionable parentage bid higher than me ($2!!!), and I was going for a Terry Pratchett discworld book, but someone out-bid me, so they can have it. The same with a Harvest Moon Game Boy game (and I mean Game Boy [Color]!) Anyway, other people were selling Skies of Arcadia so I sent one a few questionas and I'll probaly bid on that. Yay.
Now I'm starting to run out of things to talk/whinge about, and I think I should get started on Marketing.

Somehow, when I logged onto Hotmail at uni, it decided to add everyone from my MSN list onto my Hotmail contact list... Weird... Anyway, I thought i'd send an e-mail to eeveryone on the list but hotmail will only let me send to 50 people at a time. Bugger. This is merely a new update so everyone can have some new content to look at.
That's all, except Sign my guestbook!!!

Ok here;s the deal. Im at Uni with a few hours to go until it's time for bowling (ten-pin style). I have a couple of assingments due in a couple of weeks that i haven't really started, adn I end up doing a small and probably not-worth-it update for my website. Huzzah for me! Seriously, I HATE SOURCROUTE! (Whoops...) I AM BORED! Not much to say, except that I finally got my Finance Study Guide. It turned out that someone somewher e in Deakin decdided that Warrnambool didn't need the study guide, and so it wasn't sold in the book shop here. Our lecturer had to order some in just for us. Lucky us. Speaking of Deakin, go to my little Deakin website about me: Paul Howlett. I'd probably put this on there, except for Copyrights and stuff, and i'm probably breaching a heap of them by not asking permission for pics and songs and stuff. Anyway, learn a little about my Uni life by going there.
I did my CCNA last Friday and passed!!!! I got 860 when the passing score was 849 or something. I'm a Cisco Certified CCNA! Give me a bit of time, and i'll put up logos and crap cause i now can! Yay for me!
This past month I managed to rack up over 400MB downloading at home! This is the 'download limit' for our Telstra plan, after which we (or I) have to pay $0.20 for every extra MB. I have to pay it because my family wouldn't get anywhere near it with the internet usage they have.. It's mostly me downlaoding MP3's and crap off KaZaA (over 70 Tripod songs!) Speaking of Tripod, they've put out a new CD, except I hacen't seen it anywhere other than their website. Oh, well, I'll get it sooner or later...
Thanks to everyone who's left messages on the geustbook. Everythings helps, as it shows that i've got a (extremely) small group of (hopefully) loyal followers... maybe not loyal, but followers none the less. I will get around to potting pics of Tootie up sooner or later (most likely later), mostly for Lizzie! And that's about all and I should get on with my Management... not Management, MARKETING assingment and my Accounting Assignment! See you on the flip sie.

3:34 pm, 25 March 2004.
It's nice to see that some people are giving suggestions. One example is PsychoBitch, who said that I had a few spelling mistakes. My only defence was that I jsut couldn't be stuffed fixing them. However, I'll now try to type a bit better. Congratulations to everyone who hass left a message, and 'hi' to everyone everywhere (I have no idea where that came from)!
Dad's "friend" burnt UHF onto an actual DVD-R, so whe got menus and DVD quality video/audio and extras, although because the disc is two-sided (did I mention that... yeah I did) some extras were on one side while others were on the flip-side. Anyway, I got UHF in 4:3 (Full screen normal TV) with an Audio commentary (Al and Jay, his manager) and some deleted scenes! There are a few other extras (bloopers, music video, etc) that are on the wide-screen side. I told Joseph (he went to the concert) but not about burning-ness ? but he asked if I could put up the lyrics to Hardware Store for some reason. I was typing them out, but it was taking so long, so I got lazy and scanned the booklet:
The lyrics that are crossed out (with an angry [more like slightly annoyed] brown cross) are from Couch Potato: The song that would've got a video clip if Eminem hadn't been really strange and said "no" to the video clip. Anyway, HERE IT IS JOSEPH!!!
Today, while I was pretending to do Uni/Cisco work and downloading songs, I realised I have almost 70 Tripod songs! I've almost downloaded their first CD Boxset, (although it only had 10 songs) which isn't sold anymore, with At least 4 downloaded, 4 in various stages of part-downloadedness and a couple no-one seems to have. I'm also getting a few Scared Weird Little Guys (I think that links right), although I want to buy their CD off ChaosMusic.com.
Wait, I have to mention this:
Getting late (when I'm writing it, not when I'm uploading it [although that could be late also, but I'm not certain when in the future I'll put this up]), so I'm gonna finish ther!

Huzzah! I finally got round to adding a page with all the links on it so i can get rid of most of the crap at the top of the page! Also I added a guestbook, which peop ecan go to by hitting the links on the bottom of tht page (under the e-mail link) and also above the page links above. UIT took a few minutes to set up, and hoepfully it'll keep more people coming to see wehat everyone has to say,. Aldfo this can mena that people can leave instant feedback or suggestions instrad of being too lazy to not e-mail them to me (meaning no more excuses). So hopefully this will mean ia higher kwality ('Kwality' with a 'K', like K-mart) web site.
I BUOGHT UHF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Weird Al's super-mega-ultra-fantastic-splendiferous movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I boughtr it off eBay Aus cause it's only released in USA, so it's region 4 and wont work in our DVD players (both of therm), however there's this guy at dad's work who makes thaoe burnt movies and he reakons he can make a region free copy. I'm sure he'l make a VCD , which i don't think is region coded. Anyway, the disc is double-sided, with a standard version (4:3) on one side and widescreen (16:9) on the other. Weird... just like Al!
now that i've calmed down, it's time for Paul's Rant - Uni is a federal instituatuionm so i still have to go on the state holidays that sometimes happen (Labor day, Queen's birthday, etc) so I still have to go to uni tommorw! EVIL! ALthough i only have one class at 4, aso that's alright. But it's still anoying. Thats about it. it's getting a bit late...

another weekly update. This time I found a flash animation for Angry White Boy Polka! Go to the Weird Al Website to link to where it is originally to get it in the proper perspective (it's not actually on his site, just linked to it), but i'm putting it up here, and itr's in a TV-esque resolution, so it should work fairly fine. To view it here in whatever size it appears, CLICK HERE!!! (dead) The great thing about Flash animations is that they are fairly small (although this one is 2.something MB so it will take a while) casue they usually aren't full vdieos. Speaking of videos... I've meant to mention this for a while, but i downlaoded a video clip for Your horoscope for today off Running with scissors. Many of you (three out of the five of you) may object saying that there wasn't a VidCliop for YHFT, but this oe took images from an anime (Love Nina, or something) and put it to YHFR. IT IS SO COOOOL!!!! The only thing is it's a actual video clip (*.mpg), so it's about 38MB, and wouldn't fit in the 15MB supplied by geocities and also i wouldn't get it uiplaoded in the 5h our s Telstra allows yyou to stay connected for in a row. Oh well... The only problem (for me, not you who wont get to see it) is that the sound is slightly crappy (The treble is turned up i think), but the work values of the person who made it were excelent (for the video, anyway): 1. It has a decent resolution, so it can be full screen without you needing to sit acrroes the room. 2.the timing is perfect synced between music and video. 3. (s)he chose a really good song to do a video clip for. Also it's REALLY funny! If you ever find it and can be bothered to downlaod it, it is well worth it!
I've finished at Colac!!! It was a good month at Mahoney Gavins and that i am slightly sad to be finsihed, but i'm glasd about not having to be in the caravan any longer than ai have to be. And also, uni starts nextr week. I go straight from accountant at colac to uni student wit a weekend inbetween. I had to get my mum to buy my uni books. For one of the subjects it appears trhat Geelong and Melbourne have a Deakin Study Guide, but they decided that it wo't be used at Warrnambool, so it doesn't exest here, or so the dumb blonde clerk says. Really stupid isnt' uit? If i have to, i'll order it online at the Unitexts Website from Melbourne or Geelong.
I was goint to write something here, but i can't remenber what it was casue i got side tracked showing my dad the AWBP flash anime. ANyway since i cam't remeber what that was, i'll tell you what else i was going to and hope that i'll remember:According to the Master Tax Guide 2003 put out/used by the ATO (australian Taxation Office) a stuffed crocodile has an effective life (for depreciation purposes) of 20 years. Meaning that you would need to replace your stuffed crocodile every 20 uears. This was in the Master Tax Guide put out/used buyt teh ATO!@ Also, that means ytou nesed to write off 5% of their value under the Prime Cost method every year, or 7.5% of it's value under the Dimishing cost method every year. ... Apart from wizards (Discworld reference), who would possibly use a stuffed crocidile for business purposes??? I'll leave that for you, my viewers, to figure out (all five of you).
I still can't remember what i was going to put up here, so i guess i'll just sign off...

I thought this Dilbert comic was absolutely hilarious! Any way, This guy somewhere mad a Flash/Shockwave animation for a Tripod song, and it's on the Tripod website, but i also got a copy and if you CLICK HERE (dead) you will link to it. It's for "Science Facts Are Useful" off the second Song in an Hour CD, and because i'm not that good at html i don't know how good it'll look. If you want total quality, go to Tripod webiste and view it there!
