"Why Do I Write Songs All Night?"

Well, it's the question where the answer is probably worth
millions
The same thing that has been going on and on at least a billion
1,000 songs I have already written if not more
It is a miracle I have not fainted on to the floor
Guess all I can do is wait to see what will happen next
And I pray to God that he will allow me to do my best
Why do I write songs all night?
Why do I have nothing better to do
Why do I write songs all night?
And when will I ever get through to you?
This started way back as far as I can
remember
My earliest childhood days were when they were so tender
But now I'm an adult and things have got much harder
And sometimes I'm not sure if I can take it any longer
The faith has kept me going and at least it's good
For if it had not I don't know what else would
Why do I write songs all night?
Why do I have nothing better to do
Why do I write songs all night?
And when will I ever get through to you?
I will continue on and on and on if
this is what I must
Persistence is the key in life before you reach the dust
It's only one life as we all know well
But I want to save my life so I don't burn in Hell
And how about you, what are you going to do?
Do you know that you may also have a talent hidden within you?
Why do I write songs all night?
Why do I have nothing better to do
Why do I write songs all night?
And when will I ever get through to you?
